We have two folks that are considered fulltime, myself and 'casinobitcoin'. Neither of us currently take a salary, instead we have equity in the company and earn that way.

So we don't have any full time employees? Everyone is a contractor? Do you not take any kind of salary?

Contractor Development is the category we use for paying contractors that work on the site.

Breakdown for June is as follows

Development / UI / Testers : ~75% of the Contractor Development Expenses *
Marketing / PR :  ~15% of the Contractor Development Expenses
Support : ~10% of the Contractor Development Expenses

Our agreement when we signed up with Havelock a year ago was that they get a certain percentage of the funds we raise during IPVO's and there is a 1 BTC listing fee on-going. We pay this diligently, they need to pay employees, server costs, legal expenses etc just like us!

* This month we paid out 8 BTC to folks that submitted exploits - this is very high, and something I'm really looking to lock down.
All said, given the work we are looking to tackle across the Sportsbook, Casino and PeerBet in the next 2-3 months - I'd say the expenses should stay around the same, or even go up higher,  as we'll need to acquire more talent to work faster the available before NFL is shrinking.

Point taken on NXT!  We had to do a lot of refactoring to get DRK out the door (next week is our timeframe for that), but it should be much easier to swap coins in and out now as we've refactored a bit of the Bit777/PeerBet code to handle new currencies.

Things are looking good, great work. Just a few questions:

How come we never see an expense broken out for the normal payment of employee wages? I'd like see break outs for Support Personnel, Developers, Testers, and Marketing resources, but as things stand I can't see a single expense category that any of these fit into. (contractor development being the closest)?

Why are we so low (and slipping) on SEC for bitcoin sportsbook? This is the big term I think we should focus on.

What exactly are you paying havelock 1 btc/m for? You already raised your money, and now they are making their money off of trade fees. I can't imagine why they'd be taking such a steep sum from us. Will they be taking this indefinitely?

Sidenote:

Please do a bit of further research on NXT. Dark is slipping into oblivion due to the fact that's in main selling points are easily added on to bitcoin itself. There is no way it can last. NXT on the other hand brings many new ideas and innovations to the table that bitcoin cannot touch, not only that it has a much higher market cap and volume then DRK, and I strongly believe that this gap will continue to widen and that we are wasting our time supporting DRK. The NXT community is a strong one and very willing to throw money at something that adds value to their ecosystem. There was a poll recently that for some reason I can't find now and a good gambling site was one of the higher voted items. I think there is a good opportunity here, so at the very least spend a bit of time on research, NXT is completely different from all the other copy coins out there - it may even support instant transaction comfirmations very soon! Hell we could even move our shares to the nxt asset exchange to save that havelock fee;)

Hello mr_e!

First image - not sure why you are seeing that, but feel free to shoot over steps to reproduce to [email protected] to investigate further.

Bit777 - we agree, most of the flash-based, turnkey solutions out there (including Bit777) is not an ideal experience in today's day and age. That said, Bit777 improvement are most likely last on our list of priorities. We are looking at things holistically and the traffic, volume of wagers, and cost to improve the 3rd party software which runs that site just doesn't justify the effort / cost.

We will have more detail on the short (~2 months) and long term (6-12 months) technical and product roadmap in our monthly report - but a sneakpeak in priorities is as follows:

1) Redesign of HTML5 Casino Games on CasinoBitco.in (in-progress)
2) Redesign of PeerBet as a whole (in-progress)
3) More Sports Options in the CasinoBitco.in Sportsbook (in-progress)
4) Redesign of the Sportsbook in CasinoBitco.in (planned)

As for NTX - We'll take a look, we've been investigating alt-coins for a bit, and are working vigorously to get Dark Coin up and running in PeerBet. Assuming that goes smoothly, it will make sense to retire another hardly-used coin and replace it with NXT>

I've seen this a few times in the past an ignored it since I thought it would obviously be fixed soon.... but it hasn't:

This is what I get when I try to explore peerbet. This is an incredibly ugly and jarring user experience. I never even tried to log in, so there was no session to expire.

And then this is bit777 response when you are not logged in:

Both horrible user experiences. Why doesn't bit777 allow for playing with play money when your not logged in like our main site does?

If I was exploring either of these sites for the first time I would have immediately clicked away after seeing this, something really needs to be done about this experience. Your competition handles this far more elegantly and allows for people to play without logging in at all to get a taste of the action.

Also, CloudBet is absolutely destroying our sportsbook with it's user experience. A quick jump to their world cup page vs ours is a massive no brainer. If I was a better I'd be heading over there no question. Any plans to compete with this?

Also, any plans to add NXT to your site? It is now the #3 currency, and a lot of NXTers are looking for places to play with their nxt, it shouldn't be ignored.

★☆★ 777Coin - The Exciting Bitco
June 26, 2014, 09:22:15 PM
Just picked up a few shares of this listing on havelock investments to see if it might be a decent investment opportunity.  Looks like the share price has had it's ups and downs in the past and hoping I'm coming in on one of the downs.

We should really consider adding more more original games. Games outside of a normal casino. I happen to be working on a game of deal or no dea, what kind of demand do you think there would be for fun games like that outside of the gambling norm?

Also what about inventing a new type of game? Something that applies the concepts of poker to a more modern turn based multiplayer strategy game? I think there is good money to be made in taking bitcoin and using it to make a game that was not otherwise possible before it's existence. Something that takes full advantage of its strengths and creates a way for people to gamble their bitcoin in a new and fun way.

I think it's possible to take bitcoin gambling in a very different direction and I would love to see our company take a stab at something crazy.

We're open minded to this!

We're developing a new casino game that is progressing really well - but we'll certainly research what would work for our brand as far as non-traditional multiplayer games. Similar to one of the posters above you, and I love the idea.

Competition is really stepping up. I've got to say our site and games are looking quite a bit dated compared to some of these new up and comers. Bunch of new sites with 3d games are looking really nice too. Do we have any plans to step up our game in this areas? Would love to see us register one of those .io domains and create something next gen.

Also would it be possible to starting seeing numbers around number of bets placed rather then just our earnings?

We can provide those types of numbers and will do so since the next report. Consideration is in the works for options for additional transparency here moving forward.

First signs are good for volume with the new 3rd party sportsbook -

Once we ramp up all the other varieties available to add, including leagues & bet types available and in-play betting, currently in our Pipeline (through July) - we really expect volume growth to increase.

We'll look into a .io domain as far as it can play in with our current brand. Thanks for the suggestion!

Competition is really ramping up. Bit777 has good game graphics, the big issue to tackle is that the new game providers have 100's of games, that are all high def and interactive. A few of them look to be based on https://www.casinowebscripts.com/ software. I think you should either purchase or develop something similar to their 3D Drag Race - Multiplayer Speed Racers title (its a multiplayer game), would be a unique edge of the competitors

Thanks for the information! We are aware of a couple of these newer turnkey sites.

The idea of multiplayer games for bitcoin sounds great, and is something we'll have to research alongside our regular P2P multiplayer pools and contests.

Mid-Month results are in - and we're happy to report a positive change in our Sportsbook!

Right now we are cautiously optimistic that our new 3rd party is helping our results, but do want to stress that there is a great amount of variance in our industry (both up and down). That said - at the end of the day, long-term, the house (and mathematics) always prospers.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmSWZWkGJ1V3dFpxZHVTN0x6ZldUeHRteWdBd1pMNXc&usp=drive_web#gid=16

CBTC Casino :     +7.12 BTC
Bit777 / PeerBet :              + 3.975 BTC
Sportsbook (100% Risk):  +5.417 BTC
Sportsbook (3rd Party) + 13.273 BTC

* Note - the 3rd party number above is raw and doesn't account for their 'take' for assuming all the risk and setting the markets and odds. At the end of the month, we'll show this cost on the public P&L.

Pretty good numbers, sportsbook looks a LOT better  Grin
Isn't the CBTC casino usually doing a bit better though?
