Can someone update in a few lines what is going to happen here?

Ive been following for over a year and not sure what to think of it.

There is no volume on heat exchange and no new listings.. Im not sure what the latest releases are for so Id appreciate a bit of a "whats next" and "what to expect".

Short update about the Bulgaria conference: It was surprisingly dynamic atmosphere with notable difference to more events in the western EU. Finally it feels the demand for blockchain software, as well as the investment interest on the more mainstream participants is becoming evident. The customers take initiative in sourcing usable custom solutions (which aren't numerous on the market) instead of the blockchain companies needing to bend over in all the ways to get some prospects going. We got a few nice, big leads that can be built on, and quite a bit of exposure from the nicely positioned booth. More importantly the short trip was a nice bonding event and cohesion building opportunity for the 3 core team members in HL offices, it's good to continue from here to focus on the pending releases and closure of the second fiscal year.  Smiley

Heat Ledger was pre-selected in the qualification procedure. From what I know the bulk of startup companies applying actually didn't get in.

So did you guys make it to the festival? How'd it go? Don't see HEAT on the list of Blockchain exhibitors, though Jelurida and Ambrosus were there.

Nah, this won't raise the price. They will have to push out many more good updates and maybe partnerships to get the price moving up. Also getting on a top tier would help with that but the devs don't want to get listed anywhere else so this is probably a no go.

Nice update. But the price still going down

I don´t think the price will pick up very soon. The market is bearish and the project needs to deliver some key facts before they can be adopted. It is nice to see the team working and trying to achieve the goals, but there is still a long way to go. Maybe it will lead to some high profits in the next bull run, but therefore the team has to deliver the promised features

"ClassNotFoundException: sun.misc.Cleaner"

Searching for the above makes me think sun.misc.Cleaner is a class that's removed when Java's got an update from 1.8 to 1.9. So you might remove general "default-jre" and install "openjdk-8-jre" if you happen to run Ubuntu or derivates. Maybe. Or something like that. Or maybe you should be able to edit start-script to use parameter "-version:1.8*" as man-page suggests but I'm not able to get my system to find any JRE with any version-string. Even -version:1.8.0_171 that same parameter without argument prints gets an error:
$ java -version
openjdk version "1.8.0_171"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_171-8u171-b11-0ubuntu0.17.10.1-b11)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.171-b11, mixed mode)
$ java -version:1.8.0_171
Error: Unable to locate JRE meeting specification "1.8.0_171"

Anyway, I guess you have too new java.

I love you berry, you are hilarious. You never give up. You might be the most dedicated person I have ever seen. Are there any coins you actually like?

There's one in every bar (or pub). Grin  He's truly one of a kind.  Relentless.  Obsessed.  But hilarious.

I have realized that Cryptocurrencies, all of them basically (blockchain or tangle makes no difference here), all follow a similar internal design. And all of them need to store their; balances, transactions, signatures, etc etc...

That's why it's called "distributed ledger technology".  The form does not matter, only the meta-concept.

Did you try resyncing. I have sometimes had similar issues if my PC crashed. Deleting the blockchain and resyncing works for me.

Thanks Kazadar, i have tried that with no luck.
so far i have not been able to start the server since the upgrade Sad
i keep trying every day in hope that it will just work but it never does. also tried reinstalling the entire thing and it keeps doing the same.

if anyone else has had similar issues please let me know the fix. i dont really want to wait till the next upgrade to start forging again

Hello HEAT believers,

Our aim is to add value to the whole crypto community by giving the best user experience to analyse cryptocurrencies.

It would be really great help from your side if you can spend 60 seconds of your time and give us your valuable feedback for our two recent updates 1) Snapshot and 2) Colourful interface of HEAT at: https://cointopper.com/coin/heat

Constructive criticisms are always welcome at CoinTopper.  Thank you!!
