Good question, some boards are self-explanatory on what topics to post in it and since you are a newbie, it's better to read the pinned threads first to know about the forum and what to do. Anyway, it's good that you sre thinking about not wanting to post in a board where the topic is not relevant or should not be in that board. Well, there's a way to change it which is to move the thread if you post it in a wrong board. Anyway, welcome to the forum mate and read everything first then you will be posting in no time.

Welcome, Mate!!!!  Smiley
Seems to me that's you spotted in a right place. It's the best place for you here you will understand how it is necessary to post in better view and what type of post is prohibited.

I think the members have guided you to understand the rules and regulations. There will be nothing left that has not been told to you. However, I will give you some advice regarding through the forum. If you want to learn knowledge in the right sense, then you have to dig deep in the forum and look out every thread that is necessary for your knowledge. The second thing is that you should be a part of the discussion on every topic where there is a scholarly discussion among large members.

Last and the most important point is that you should never be act in such a way that you are called a cheater. Means avoid spamming, plagiarizing, etc. otherwise you will be kicked out from the forum.

Congratulations on your first move. Good a thing you've asked a question because they say those who ask questions never get lost in  a journey.  It's never an easy task but you'll certainly scale through as others have successfully done. It is of utmost importance that you take your time to observe critically what is going on in the forum and also take your time to read carefully so as not to be misguided in anything. You can check for reputable members in the forum and read how their posts are done, what they entail so you can learn as fast as you can as this will aid your growth in the forum.

I'm also new here even when I know that I've spent close to two years here. I've been very inconsistent with my activities here and that's because whenever I want to concentrate and try make progress on this forum, I find myself struggling on what to do and how to go about it. I'm just like a newbie in the forum despite signing up to become a member of the forum since 2023. I've not been able to make progress despite trying everything possible to improve my knowledge. I feel like I'm stuck in a spot or probably the forum isn't favoring me. Everyday, I see new members making significant progress  and growing in the forum which always leaves me with the question of "why is my own case different"?

I've made up my mind that I must grow in this forum and if it'll cost me paying an expert here to help mentor me improve my knowledge about the forum, I'm very much ready to make some sacrifice to remain in this great forum.

It was because of my inability to improve my knowledge of the forum that made someone left a neutral tag with me. That said, this is a new year and I'm fully back with a determined mind and spirit to make progress. I've already sent someone a PM as I was recommended by a member here, that the person will guide me. I'm now looking forward to a response from the person.

Please, if there's anyway you guys can help me grow I'll appreciate.
I clearly understand how you feel because when I joined this forum, I found it very difficult to grow, and even when I applied in a rank-up thread so that I would enter member rank in the forum, I still didn't get any help in the rank-up thread. I was frustrated and wanted to give up in the forum since I was finding it difficult to function very well, but all of a sudden I started making positive progress and getting merits from reputable members in the forum. All I will tell you is never to give up in the forum even though you are finding it difficult to progress; just develop time to learn about bitcoin and the forum generally so that you can be a problem solver in the forum, which might likely earn you merit.  Also, reading the posts of some reputable members of the forum will help you to progress in the forum, so I will recommend you start reading the posts of some forum members whom you think their knowledge and ideas will reshape your life for the better in the forum, which will likely help you to grow in person and in the forum.

Welcome mate, this is a Bitcoin forum and it's rules are different from other social media platforms.Firstly,I would advise you to read the rules of the forum so as to abide by them and also take out time to read the pinned messages on each board, whatever clarity you desire to know, you can post it on beginners and help, that's the rightful board for beginners.Talking about posting,as a newbie you ought to read more and write less, your reading journey will groom you to make quality posts as time goes on.Your activeness matters a lot as a newbies, when you're not active on this forum you won't grow, for to you grow you should be active and willing to abide by the rules.Contribute on what you've learned in the crypto industry.Lastly, don't plaugarize or use AI bot, always give reference to knowledge that's not yours.

Hi am new here and I hope to learn and get information in the crypto space especially Bitcoin so how do I start posting and know which board is relevant to the topic that am talking about so i don't post in wrong board

Welcome to the forum mate, you are in the right place to get and learn more about crypto, you don't need to worry because Bitcoin is the most important thing that is discussed here and if you pay attention and want to learn you will understand more than what you expect from forum, the only advise I have to give you as a newbie is to learn gradually without any rush, as a new you have to sacrifice some times to learn what you are here for and ask about some things that you don't understand.

Since most of the people already answered to your question, I'm just gonna add one little suggestion.
If you wanna look for a specific topic, just use the "Search" option. It can be very useful if you can utilize it properly.

This is very important for newbies because some of them find it difficult when search for a topic, my first time coming to his forum I didn't understand the Search and I think some newbies will also find it difficult and that is why I see this reply as very important for newbie as some of them will be asking about a thread and topic when they join the forum new.

Since you are new to the forum, you should focus more in your local board and familiarise yourself with people from your local board. Your local board will give you more understanding of how forum works. because you will see people around their posting in your local language. When you have spent some time there and you have developed the confidence to post in other boards, then you can search for those boards, by navigating through the forum. Same way you did when you found the beginner and help thread.
If you are interested in gambling discussion you can find that in the Economics sub boards. Whatever you want to discuss, you should look at the title of the board. It's through the title of the board that you will know will  the kind of discussions that is going on there. I know you are smart, so I believe you will figure your way out. It's a gradual process, don't rush over anything, take your time and be active on the forum. Before you know it, you will have a full understanding of how the forum works.

From the depth of my heart I understand how frustrated you are, it is all over your write-up. You obviously need help, and believe me, if I were a merit source, I would have aided your journey to a full member and make someone happy. Meanwhile I have the following advice for you. I will also try to send you this in PM incase you will not return to this thread again.

1. You registered in 2023 and started well but seems you took a long break which set you back. As much as you can, be active in the forum. If you go AWOL, your account would be forgotten. No one cares but yourself.
2. I have gone through your post history and discovered that you started well from your local board but later on you stopped posting in your local board. Go back to your local board and make friends there, you can grow faster there.
3. I can see that you are emotional, just be strong and bold because there are alot bullies behind the computer.
4. Learn about bitcoin so that you can make good posts.
5. Don't send random people PM's, you could be banned if reported.
6. Finally, as much as you can, appear in the forum atleast 3 to 4 days in a week.
7. Stop posting in spam threads, post where quality conversation is happening, it is there you can gain merits.

Be strong and face your fears.
You don't know how much this advice means to me. I will follow your recommendations and by the grace of God, I will get it right this time around. Thanks a million times.

Welcome to the forum, newbies. I have noticed one thing, those who come to this forum after posting leave after a while, and senior members give various suggestions and guidelines but do not follow them. Later, it turns out that giving him directions was a mistake, and I do not know if he came here again, but after his first post, no subsequent posts are seen here.

If this happens, he will not be able to learn anything; if he wants to learn, he must read the important links given by senior members carefully and try to master them, and then he will gradually understand everything.

Welcome to the community!

You can visit the pinned post in every thread so you can get an idea what are the things you need to deal with, we recommend I guess to start with the Beginners & help added with the Meta board so you have an idea what the basic knowledge you must to learn in the forum. Ideal to visit your local board too so you can also guide them easily in your native language at the same time, also whats your reason why you join in the forum so we can recommend a board that is suitable on the things you are interested in.

Perfect response @ peanutswar. If the OP can come back to this conversation he started, and then go through informations and responses given him, am sure you and many others have given him enough insight as to what to do and how the forums operates.

From my end, I will quickly add that READING is paramount. Are u a reader? If you must grow quickly in this forum, then you must be a reader. Reading informations in different boards gives you the wisdom & knowledge you need to grow in this forum. Pay attention to the posts and advise of high ranked members here, because am sure we all need their experience to grow to there level one day..  We wish you well here

You're permitted to in every board, but the thing is that before you post make sure you cross check your work and make sure that your response is in accordance with the established discussion, and make sure that you don't post on hurry, don't post because of posting sake, just read and understand because you began to write your response, so of the newbies do response for something they doesn't understand, so when looking at it very well you will know that it's something that make some newbies [ beginners] to have an issues on the forum...Reading you need to understand before you reply...this forum an institution that will educate you on what to do co concerning cryptocurrency and bitcoin in particular, which you have to take your time to investigate before you post.

Hi am new here and I hope to learn and get information in the crypto space especially Bitcoin so how do I start posting and know which board is relevant to the topic that am talking about so i don't post in wrong board

It is nice to see new members on this platform every day. Anyways, you are welcome to this great platform and I will advise you to always stick to the platform's policies and rules so you do not have issues here. If you find anything difficult to understand, you can ask just as you have done here, and members who are willing to help you will respond to your question.

Do well to read the pinned posts on threads you visit because as a newbie, that would guide you through your stay here and possibly teach you more about the platform and how things are done here.  You should avoid the use of AI-generated content here as it is not welcomed. Also avoid plagiarism as @hugeblack already mentioned to you because it is highly frowned upon here, if there is any post you have copied that is not yours, it would be nice if you refer where you copied it from to save you the stress of being called. I will advise you to just be creative in how you can be able to add value to the platform and see yourself grow and become more knowledgeable about the platform.

First, you are most welcome to bitcointalk, there is no better forum to learn about bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large than here. All need to do is get engage in conversation and you can only do that when you make a lot of research and ask questions about what you don’t know. The forum is a very big place and when you tour around you can see several sectors. As a newbie you ought to engage more in the beginners and help sector, a lot of high rank members are here to help and talk you through.

At the beginning you might find it difficult to engage in most activities in the forum but with time you will get to it but only if you read more, make research and also ask questions too. Once again welcome to bitcointalk and enjoy your stay.

Welcome to the BitcoinTalk forum. Many people have shared the link of this forum rules, hope you have read the rules carefully. Now for those who are new to this forum, it seems difficult at first. So you should try to read regularly on different boards of this forum, remember the more you read the more knowledge you gain. If you don't understand something then ask on this board or your local board, hopefully someone will try to answer your question. Forum rules can't be violated, if you don't follow the rules you won't be able to go far. Good luck to you.

Welcome to the Bitcoin Forum. I would say that you are still posting correctly on the right board. Also, many have mentioned that you should be careful about which board you post on. My advice to you is if you don't understand everything well in the beginning, spend more time on the Bitcoin Forum, read, think, you will learn a lot very quickly. Also, be active on your local board. If you are active on your local board, I think you will know everything very quickly and become experienced. But remember that the Bitcoin Forum does not like any cheaters so if you try to cheat, you will be destroyed very quickly. Post good quality, get merit, hopefully you can become very big.

Hi am new here and I hope to learn and get information in the crypto space especially Bitcoin so how do I start posting and know which board is relevant to the topic that am talking about so i don't post in wrong board
Welcome mate, for clear understanding about the forum rules or crypto you just have to read each pinned post but I think starting with meta section is perfect for newbies. How can one start posting is simple, asking questions still depends from your post history it shows you’re posting rightly although there’s still a lot to learn probably if your post is not in the right board the mods will do justice to that, like I stated earlier the forum rules will help enlighten your understanding so it’s better you do more research than writing.

So far so good I guess, seeing that you started off with the intention to learn which is key if you do want to survive in this community and the entire crypto space at large especially when you don't have idea on what to do. I would advise for you to just do more reading and asking questions because almost everyone here is set for guidance especially with newbie that are very inquisitive about knowing stuff about Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Discussion is the Board where you discuss about Bitcoin.
Beginners & Help is a Board for people who are new to Bitcoin and people who need general help.
Local Boards are for local languages and particular countries.
Gambling Discussions is the Board for discussions about gambling.

Common sense is the only thing you need.  In the worst case you will have your topic moved to another Board by moderators or other Members will instruct you to move it to the proper Board.  You do not get punished for it.  It happens.

so how do I start posting and know which board is relevant to the topic that am talking about so i don't post in wrong board
How to start posting?… your doing that already, opening a comment box and writing out your views.

Knowing what board you should be posting in; you can virtually post in all the boards that a comment box can open into you. Once you’ve got the reply or new post icon on it, it’s most likely that you can post.
A couple of places you can’t post though, once it’s self regulated and you’ve been required not to make post on the thread or places where views from your rank isn’t needed.

As per knowing what board you should be directing your post to; all boards on the forum has got a title which defines the kind of subjects that is discussed within. You should be able to evaluate on best fit and in confusing situations, you choose the best fit and if it doesn’t fit, be cool if it gets moved.

Anyone here, especially beginners who come here, can discuss anything that has to do with crypto, Bitcoin, mining, reputation, meta, law and so on, in other words, anything to do with crypto currency, What's more beautiful is if you have knowledge that other people don't know, it means your expertise is appreciated here, keep learning and learning about all things crypto.

Hi am new here and I hope to learn and get information in the crypto space especially Bitcoin so how do I start posting and know which board is relevant to the topic that am talking about so i don't post in wrong board
Welcome to Bitcointalk. If you are here to learn about Bitcoin and the crypto industry at large, you are in the right place. All you need to do is to read, understand, and obey all the forum rules. All of these rules are not written in a single document, so you need to keep reading the pinned messages at the top of every section. You will also learn a lot by observation, so I encourage you to spend time on the forum and be observant.

I want to also advise you to read more and write less. This is because you are not well-informed about the industry and the forum. Be real and learn at your own pace, don't be in a haste to earn merit and increase your ranks. The use of bots to make posts is highly prohibited, don't use them. If you keep learning, within a short time, you will begin to contribute to the forum.

Welcome to Bitcointalk. Smiley

You have already posted on this board and you did the right thing where it should be posted. There are descriptions for each board on what topics to be discussed in there.

And you did it right by asking this question on the Beginners & Help. Read and use the description per board as your guidelines so that you won't be posting in the wrong board.

Aside from that, refrain from replying off topic replies on threads that you are posting. Stay relevant by being in line with the discussion and topic. Just be yourself, abide by the forum rules and you'll be fine.
