Good idea, tried it, liked it. But sometimes, for some reason, the cards fall off, and we do not understand why.
Well, the main disadvantage is the payment.
If you have one or two rigs, then everything is OK, you can use it, and if 6-10 rigs, it's already expensive.
For on the same windows and allminer we have the same thing, only for free;)

$3 per rig for this software is not expensive, that's insane.  & Windows is a pita with a lot of rigs.

use etcher to burn the image.  and unhook the windows drive, you don't need it.

I dont get the usb to work. I am following the video, but usb is only 20mb large after i am finished making it.

And straight away when its finished, i get a message that i need to format the usb.

Any tip?

I assume you are flashing the usb from windows.  It will make 2 partitions on the drive - one is a very small partition readable by windows which lets you configure the rig before booting the stick (optional), the other is a larger linux-formatted partition that windows can't read (thus the message about formatting the usb).  this is expected and can be ignored, the rig should boot from it fine

That is correct sir.
I can see the 20mb disk, and another 7 gb partition.

But nothing happends when i try to boot with it. it goes straigt to windows. I have tried the tip from hive os site for troubleshooting.

1.i dowload the file
2.i unpack it with winrar, or 7zip
3. i use hdd raw copy tool , or win32diskimigar
4. i chooose the file
5. i choose the target

right after it is finished it tells me that i need to format the usb.
dont do that.

i restart the computer, check that bios is set to boot on usb.  goes to windows.
i restart the computer, go to bios and try to force start from usb , nothing happends.

i have downloaded both the torrent, and the normal one, and i cant see what i am doing wrong.

my next move will be to go to the store and buy a new usb stick.

i have tried to mount the img file with windows, just to see. and then i get a error that det file i damaged. but i have dowloaded several, and they all cant be damaged ?

What are the steps to duplicate an existing rig?

I currently have one rig running in HiveOS and now have a second rig ready to add in Rigs that has the exact same hardware as the current running rig,

If there an easy way to duplicate the Rig or do I need to do the individual steps that I had to do for the first rig?

Is there a list of what notifications will be sent to you via Telegram? I am specifically interested in GPU heat warning for X temp.

I was also wondering if Hive would turn off a rig, or disconnect mining when GPU temps reach X temp?

I am currently moving my farm to a new location. I will need heat monitoring until I can get the cooling worked out, but the ability for an OS to ensure my GPUs don't get damaged while I'm sleeping would be great piece of mind.

You can easily check it yourself. Just set Red Temp to low level that is easily reached by you rig, find out and report to coomunity.
As of Telegram you can explicitly setup what notifications are sent. It is done from https://hiveos.farm/a/account/#pane-notifications

I have to say I love this os its easy to setup and has been running 24/7 on two of my rigs for a few weeks now with no downtime I just ordered a usb watchdog that I'm going to play with and if its good I'll add them to my rigs also the only other thing I haven't tried is flashing a bios with hiveos if anyone tried please tell me how it went I plan on adding hiveos to all my rigs Thanks to the dev for great product

If you can let me know which watchdog you got and how it works for you that would be great as I haven't had much feedback on that.

I was a bit reluctant to use the flash function but it is much much better than using windows and ATIflash (much more stable & faster) my only suggestion is not to push it ie after you flash give it a good minute or two before refreshing and making adjustments but other than that its very easy.

hello guys,
I have a problem with my rig Huh,i have tryed to install hive to a hdd drive but its not booting up Sad.
i have 2 hdd drives 1 with win 10 and 1 with hive, win 10 is booting up just fine no problems but when i boot up hive(hdd win 10 disconect) it starts up the bios.
it has also has made 2 partitions on the drive 1 for the config file(email adres) and the other?Huh hive???

i hope you guys understand me, english is not my native langauge and is a little bit rusty

how did you create hiveos hdd? i guess your disk image corrupted. i tried "hdd raw copy tool" before with smooth. and you are right its 2 partition 1 partition is around 8mb for vpn and certificate files other is linux image. it can not accessible from windows caused by ext file system formatted.

yes i create it with hdd raw copy and it worked fine, i think  Roll Eyes.but it wont boot up,i also tryed usb but it was the same problem.
and when i connect the ssd it boots up just fine with win 10.
but is it normal to see nothing on the other partition? the first you can see the config txt file

Enable CSM in your BIOS. I had the same problem.

- I ditched 1x ethOS mining rig ( paid $39 for the EthOS). EthOS is good but no WIFI supported is a huge disadvantage for me.

Could you not find your wireless card driver online? For Hive I used make and installed some driver from the web(not from the producer page).
BTW: Hive, could please add dkms to your distro?

hey guys i have some troubled rigs, some gpus made incorrect shares caused by oc settings. how may i watch them? they did not seen on each miner-log file. i catched them by randomly on miner-log.. and also nothing possible to watch from pool.

Connect on SSH or using Shellinabox .
and use command miner

List of usefull command:

=== Commands FAQ ===
miner - shows running miner screen
miner start | stop - starts or stops miner obviously
agent-screen - shows hive client agent
Ctrl+A, D - detach from screen (miner or agent) so it will be working in background
selfupgrade - upgrade hive from repository
firstrun -f - force rig setup, you will enter ID and password again
wifi - to setup WiFi if you have one
net-test - check your network connection
gpu-fans-find - find GPU by spinning fans
logs-off - for USB Flash Drives move logs to RAM

this commands not solved my problem.
i solve my problem with this command from ssh console or shellinabox console.
Code:
cat /var/log/miner/claymore/lastrun_noappend.log | grep 'incorrect'

this command shows incorrect shares caused by oc settings.
