I think its better to split your bitcoin on different alts. Never put your eggs in one basket, you can stuck in it. and the good thing that with growing your alts, quantity of your bitcoin will grow too. Just put your eye on good coins, read about them and make your choice

Hello there right now I am holding exactly 1 bitcoin....what should i do with that... should I hold only in bitcoin or should I split some of it into other coins... if yes then which ones and how much

I would say split it - proportions and which coins are up to you. Listen to advice, but then research everything yourself to make an informed decision.
Bitcoin offers high probability of increasing, with low risk. For higher returns, go for lower cap coins - but risk increases here too.
Personally I would put some into good smart contract coins ETH, NEM/XEM, NEO, maybe Cardano (although I think Cardano is overpriced at the moment).
Then put a smaller amount into more risky stuff, take your pick from amongst the top 100 or so.
I would say to avoid very low cap coins as these are often pump and dump.

I suggest you keep 50% of your bitcoin, buy Ethereum around 20%,  buy NEO 20% and Monero 10%. This coins are one of the most stable price in coin marketcap. You can buy other altcoins with  high provability to get better profit but you could also lose from it like TRX.
You are right about splitting, but I guess better will be to split between more coins, and 10% of deposit invest in to some ICO's.

Taking up the situation of bitcoin right now it seems to be better if you'll take some parts of altcoins investment. You can choose ADA, XRP, ETH, these coins are consistently having a good reputation from some investors. And it's market price really impressive, though some changes may blown out but it really give profit.

Diversifying your portfolio is basically one of the best strategies since this can help in widening your chances of financial growth and profit. though there were speculations that bitcoin might pump soon but then again, those were speculations. If you are willing to take the risk, i guess it is best to split your bitcoin to 60% butcoin and 40% altcoin. As for the altcoins, there are a couple pf alts that have high potential but for me, i'll go for eth and monero.

i would split it. A small amount i would hold in bitcoin. But the biggest part i would invest in other altcoins. Because altcoins have a higher chance to rise like ten times then bitcoin. When you have a altcoin who cost 1 cent and has just a marketcap of some millions, it can easyile go to ten cent or more. Bitcoin will never make a 10x growth so fast. But bitcoin will be more stable and safer than any other altcoin.

I'm a kind of person that believe in the act of using money to make money. Therefore, I will advice to split the bitcoin you're hodl into two and invest half into altcoin like ETH,BCH,KMD,XRP etc. Besides, it will be better if you also invest into promising ICO as well and Graft Credit Card and Universal Crypto payment processing network ICO is the best option for that  and here is their ICO site. Their ANN Thread on https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/graft-universal-payment-processing-network-2115188 and ICO SITE.

For me i going to hold it until the price of bitcoin is increasing. I choose to hold bitcoin because it is legit and bitcoin is the higher valuable in this crypto world. If i'm going to split my bitcoin to many altcoin i choose eth, ripple, and to the other popular altcoin here at bitcointalk.

If you can do invest in other coins is better, because you have some other coins if 1 coins drop down and another coins is increase you still get the profit from the other coins. I know bitcoin is this few month is drop down, but don't worry because in a few month later will increase again.
My recommendation you can split to 2 coins again, like ethereum and IOS. This 2 coins the profit almost same with bitcoin.

I think it's better to invest also in other coin than holding only bitcoin. It's price is stuck between 10k to 11k and vice versa that a possibility for it to dump any moment and it's kind a risky.Assign an amount or a percentage (lets say 10%) or how much would you
prefer in investing for other coin and hold the remaining bitcoin. One thing, wisely choose a particular coin that has a potential of growth in the future (i prefer to search for some good alternative coins) here are some list of it here

After the market halt, which is now, you should hold your Bitcoin because he will first start to rise.
When Bitcoin start to rise alts are not growing. When Bitcoin shows his muscles at the peak you change your Bitcoin in alts.

I think you need to keep bitcoin and be patient. Now the altcoins are always going after bitcoin and I do not see the point of buying them. While bitcoin is falling, all the altcoins are also falling. But if you keep only bitcoin, it's unlikely that you will make a big profit, on altcoin you can earn much more. As they say here it is better to divide the deposit, what would reduce the risk.

I think bitcoin itself is too risky to hold %100 right now. I would rather diversify it to 5 or even 10 coins but making bitcoin stance is higher (like %20-25 or something) I am still bull on bitcoin but not as much.

It's always better to diversify to reduce your risk. I'd say keep 50% in Bitcoin & invest the other 50% in alts. Which alts? Well that's entirely up to you. Just gotta do your own research & pick the coins you believe in the best. Every member here will have their own opinion & none of them can be considered objectively right or wrong, so it's important you come to your own conclusions.

Myself I like to have a bit of a few coins although it is nice to have a full bitcoin it maybe a idea to have a play about with some altcoins. By no way am I saying plough it all into altcoins I would keep at the very least 75 percent of btc and have a bit of fun trading.
