The news about the new prices of cryptocurrencies can just make you break down and cry sometimes. There are some coins that I bought earlier this year and looking at the prices now, I just wish I could go back in time, buy some more of those cryptocurrencies and warn my myself seriously with harsh words not to sell them no matter what anyone says.
Sometimes we buy cryptocurrencies and sell them off because of bad news and fear of the uncertainty, but at the end those coins will end up mooning way above what we predict.

Hold is a good strategy, but it doesn't always work the way we need it to. In this market as it is now dangerous to keep something for a long time, it is better if possible to fix their profits. Hold is perfect for bitcoin or ether, because these coins are sure to show a good result in the future.
I would have done differently in this situation. I would invest other funds to buy new coins, but I definitely would not sell the coins that you currently have in the big minus. After buying a coin, I will never sell it below the purchase price.
I think in the world of crypto patience is very necessary because there are many investors and traders who lose their capital because they are impatient in holding crypto assets, so the key is patience.

I am very thankful because my best friend convinced me to hold. It is important to don't give up. In time the market will go up and we will be glad for holding.
I am thankful too. Wanting coins does not feel as good as getting the coins transferred to a wallet from exchanges on the Internet.
In my opinion, it's better to hold, than regret. Don't give a chanse to make you sad or regret from crypto. Only a sober look at the situation will help you.
Now there is no other option how to keep in the long term. Of course, if you know how to trade, then it is better to trade and make a profit now, but if you do not know how to trade, then you will have to just keep your coins in the long term.

i had 500K XVG and i had only 100K of XVG when it reaches to $0.25. still i earned good profit. but i lost huge amount of money too.so HOLD and waiting is best idea if you trust about your coin and team behind the project
Thank you sharing your experience. I think holding is the right thing to do now, I agree with you. If we trust our coins, there is no reason to sell them at a loss. 
A daily trade in the Cryptocurrency market means that you can embrace the useful experiences for us. Hodl is the first of the reasonable living options as long as you wait patiently. Regret is an ineffective factor in trade.

I'm really disappointed with myself now because of Verge. Way back June 2017, I bought $200 worth of XVG and I sold it last week a day before the pump happened. It could be worth more than $5k now if I just HODL. 
Well, I need to move on and learn from this mistakes. This will be a lesson for me to have patience and wait for the right time to sell my coins. The reason why I sold it was because I need more funds to buy another coin. I'm happy with the coin I bought because I can now see that it is now starting to pump. Those who are always too quick at selling off, in my opinion are among the most losers in cryptocurrency. The period of allowable growth for a particular coin or token is never observed by them. Sure HODL works long term if you have faith in crypto and/or your coin in particular, but this market is so FULL of chances especially now at these prices even for the shorter term.
I think it's only a matter of time until we go full bull again at which point I'd wish I bought more at these prices.

I had the same. I bought XRP for 400 USD and sold them in October 2017, just before such a huge pump happened. Just hodl and relax guys! Good times are coming! The bullish market is close and the only thing we can do is to wait.
I'm not sure that long-term storage today makes a big profit. It seems to me that such a strategy is very dangerous and unprofitable.
