I'm really disappointed with myself now because of Verge. Way back June 2017, I bought $200 worth of XVG and I sold it last week a day before the pump happened. It could be worth more than $5k now if I just HODL. Cry Well, I need to move on and learn from this mistakes. This will be a lesson for me to have patience and wait for the right time to sell my coins. The reason why I sold it was because I need more funds to buy another coin. I'm happy with the coin I bought because I can now see that it is now starting to pump. Maybe, I'm just half disappointed every time I'm seeing the current value of Verge. I bought some XVG again and will surely hold it this time. Smiley I hope that this experience of mine can be a good example for everyone especially the newbies in this community.

I'm trying to hold at least of 20% of coins. For ex, if I have ripple and I see big pump I will sell 50-80% of coins only

Just move on man when it comes to these type of scenario don't feel sorry about your decision because it will just chase you and even before you sleep you'll just struggle so thinking about it will not help. Learning from this mistake will help for future decision making, me myself I have the same error committed but it goes to bitcoin for selling before when I was quite new to it and I thought that was a good decision. It help me with the way when it comes to deciding if I'll buy a new coin.

Something similar happened to me too. I bought like 13 bitcoins and i sold it for only 400 dollar each lol. I felt so stupid. But the only thing you can do is take your lesson from it.

It depends. What happen if your coin is dissapear now? The best way is research carefully to understand your coins. You have to know that which coin is suitable for long time or short time. So, you wont have to be regret

but I'm glad I learned that lesson early in the game.

I would suggest it is better to HOLD for a period of 3 - 6 months at least to see what develops. If you do want to sell for fast profits then dont sell all of them keep 30 - 50% back to see if it continues to grow. I had 930 EOS with average $1.30 I sold 50% at $2 then a month later it was $10. No point having regrets just develop a better strategy
This is the best idea for a newly endorsed tokens and coins. Many people sell their tokens and coins after an ICO and the main reason why the price goes down suddenly and the effect is that some investors regret that they buy that token/coin because of what happenned not considering the development and value it may have in the future.

Hodle always best. Wabi i am keeping for long time. If you see some coins 2 to 3 months like dead. Then suddenly pump. As an example  xrp and nem those are between .2- .3$ , now almost 1$.

So you always need to fix only part of the profit. And the rest of the coins to keep on them. As the majority of altcoins will grow to tens and hundreds of times. I look at my experience - those coins which I had kept since the spring, has increased many times. And in 2018 even more profits. And I risks insured, as fixed part of the profit with good growth

I also have a terrible story like that, when Monaco was around 3 dollars I was able to buy some quantity back the but there was a little surge in price and the coin increased to 10 dollars. I immediately sell off all the Monaco coin, two days after that, the coin increased to over $25. In sort its good to hold for long.

It is easy to regret once the pump happens. But you don't know before. I'm quite new to crypto, but I think I will always try to HODL part of coins that take off, even if it is only half of what I started with…

I feel you, it happens to me every time. Yeah, you heard it right, every single time. Just for example I sell my 13k blue for $0.02 then it pumps to $0.4 dollars. 20x of the price. I sold my 1k XRB for $0.2  then i pumps to almost $4. So disappointing right? Gladly i didn't invest money on it.  Just time and effort but still disappointing.

Lesson learned sir. There are actually events that we can not control like what happened when you sold it a day before the pump goes. But I'm glad you have moved on and even bought XVG again. That's the essence of HODLing. You have to be patient and wait for a better price to happen even if it means you are about to lose when its market price is falling.

Thanks for sharing your experience as this will be an eye-opener for everybody around.

Every one of us have a reason why we sold our coins maybe an urgent need or you have something to buy, all this have a different reason why we do that thing. I also now hold IOTA and hoping it will pump up more in the 6 to 7 months from now i am holding.
Just hold as what you've want then sell if you need that's what life.

Good things will happen just by watching and beng patience this is why there is a saying that "Patience is virtue". I personally invested my money in bitcoin no matter how high the price even if it goes down or plunge sometimes i just continue to HODL it and look at it now. My patience has finally bear some fruits and manage to get triple or i think even more of my initial investment. Just dont panic sell and invest on new tokens with great technologies behind it and HODL.

Atleast you got ptofit from it, thats what trading all about, it dependent on the wise prediction you have. I actually HODL coins, which I saw great potential regardless of sudden changes in value. Most of the coins is really for anlong term investment, you'll just see its profit atleast a year.

Well, just as what you said you learned from it. The best decision to always do on investment is really to Hodl and hope for its best future. I actually have coin now, wgich already doubled its price and still choose to hold it no matter water. Simply because I believe that it has promising future.
when trading, if our profit is big enough its better to liquidate.but if we are still confident the price will go up better to hold this. this will make our profit doubled.
