i have no doubt to hodl my cryptocurrencies for long term, especially bitcoin and ethereum
because for sure, crypto will be mainstream in the future, maybe in 5 or 6 years from now

No one really knows how this things will be after that period of time, but in the positive sides of view points, if everything will be done according to what we expect, saving those assets for long term investment goals will bring huge benefits, we always have to be in the positive sides of this industry so we can wait and hold for longer goals.

I already did store coins for myself,specialy bitcoin I have a separate wallet for future consumptions(hodling) and i got funds for current expenses and investments,people using crypto in the future is not imposible because of evolving technology
Bitcoin is the right choice and you have got the best choice by holding bitcoin. I am sure that we do not have to wait another 5 years to become a millionaire, look at a few more years, maybe 2021 
BTC remains the top choice for this year and also along with that if someone wants to invest in few altcoins as they have fallen during the btc rise can be bought now as they are available at discounted rates before they can also take off.

There is a good possibility that Brian Armstrong is correct especially that crypto currency is starting to grow in numbers as of today. Billions is kinda big but in 5 years, it will be possible knowing that crypto currency has the capability to dominate the currencies in the following years.

It's better to strive to own even just one bitcoin and don't be contented by just owning some satoshi's today. Reliable coins would also be good for your portfolio but stay straight to bitcoin for these times. I think what I can suggest is just not to hodl and hold your coin in your wallet, what you can do is to still trade it and maintain its balance and there, you can earn profit by being observant to the altcoins that are profitable, whenever there is, you can use your time and to efficiently consume every opportunity that you can get.
