I think the cult of hold has its merits....that are 90~95% correct.....however for that last 5~1%, well some profits in fiat so you can buy some stuff and trade a bit, and lock in some gains?

That may let you hold more long term....

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
I think it's time to change the title of this thread to "Sell... Sell.... Sell.... Sell everything".

Ethereum is gonna hit $200 in a couple of a hours. We all had it coming.

No need to change the price of bitcoin now is down at $2,362 so that's not a good sign that we need to sell everything. Another time of removing those weak handlers, more buying power again into the hands of the whales. They are making money each time there's a small pump and when there's a dump, they are adding more bitcoins.

meh, the panic sellers never listen and the higher we go it seems like it becomes easier to shake them out and take a big profit.

and times like this is the perfect time for people with my strategy.
what i do is buying bitcoin each month or couple of weeks or so whenever i have money. and at times like this where there is a big rise i wait till the panic sellers panic and buy all their coins cheap Cheesy

Agree with BrewMaster.
Just a little profit and they go all out sell.
Just a big sigh after that.
We keep on encouraging them. Telling them it is supposed to be higher than that if we gold together. But it is also an endless talk to which they just ignore what we tell.
I think of it as a selfish act. But what else could we do abiut that but just let it be. We cant force it to them.

The price of bitcoins is going higher and higher and there will be not be an epic dump as people have trust in bitcoins and they would not dump down all their bitcoins.
Well.i would rather to hold my bitcoin than to sell it in a low price. In addition to that, holding is one of best strategy that you can do to make a good profit. I know that the price of bitcoin will increase day by day in the near future so I think I will save and hold more bitcoin. Lastly, if you want to make a good profit hold your bitcoin now.

Ye But you need to understand those poeples
If the price is going down they think oh i make loss
And if its down then i can buy cheaper coins
I am losing money also now beceause of holding instead of selling
So i understand the poeple

But I think they got it wrong. If they sell if the price is dipping, isn't it they are losing their investment? The technique is just to stay calm because it has proven time again that bitcoin can rebound from this price crash. If I see that the price is going down, I might as well buy more and stash it in my wallet and hold on it. Because when the price rose in the near future, holding will be really worth because what you gonna see in profit in you end. Just don't panic and don't push the sell button, you might regret your decision later.

I am a strong believer that this is not the big bubble that everyone is predicting. If you want to make some profits, then sell a small percentage

of your coins, but DO NOT sell every coin you have. We have not even sorted out the scaling issues and we have not even had 1 killer/viral Bitcoin

Application and look at where the price is now. Only 1 country has signalled that they will fully embrace Bitcoin {Japan} ... What will happen once

this goes global?

Take some profits now, {to protect yourself, if this goes bad} BUT do not sell everything. Leave some coins for the Big Score when this thing

really takes off to the Moon.  Wink
You are correct but those that will hold don’t really need the advice and those that don’t want to hold are not going to hear the advice and instead they are going to sell at a bad price, also with the current decrease in price, many weak hands are probably going to sell everything they have.

Well that was the plan from the beginning  Grin

Considering the many more potential positive event that may happen, it is best to just hold and hold our Bitcoin. By having this type of mindset, even if no major event happened that would trigger a major hype, the price will, still, continue to increase because the users are just holding more and selling less. If Bitcoin really takes off to the moon, then this will be exciting, my seat belt was buckled ever since I started earning Bitcoin and it's still buckled up until now Roll Eyes

Don't be a weak hand who panic sells only to rebuy back in later at a higher price because of FOMO. Just buy on the dips and hodl. Then sit back and enjoy the ride.

If it was that easy, people wouldn't be losing out. Problems here are that people simply have no clue what they are doing, plus their emotions always get the better of them. Add that most of them also happen to invest with money that isn't meant for that, and the panic gets complete. Let people make the same mistakes, it will only make their coins land into stronger hands....

Hodling is easy when the price is more or less stable with few dips here and there. Real test comes when a big crash occurs & price does not seem to be recovering. Then doubts start to creep in whether you made the biggest mistake of your life or not.

Yes, most of my friends are also into HODL (Hold On for Dear Life) position for Bitcoin as things can get so exciting by the time the scaling problem and the transaction clogs can be solved. There is a big opportunity ahead of us so there is really no need to sell...I had done that before and I will not do it again as I missed great growth since then.

As July would be approaching, I guess there would be many who can be spreading FUD to scare us to convert our Bitcoin to cash. There can be some form of panic but we should not listen to them because people who are members of the panic  club will usually not make great money but will lose them big.

We may need the patience to be able to hold our bitcoin wealth, because out there are so many issues that start us so that our bitcoin is converted into cash, but believe that if we can be patient we will be able to double it in the coming July , I believe it
and i trust to hold my btc
Exactly with most of the digital currencies patience is a must to taste the profit. In reality none can predict the exact pump and dump of the coins as well issues with digital assets were common and in time this will be overcome easily. Only the teams that lack developers fail at this point. So patience is much important and even if selling, sell based on necessity and not everything.

It is true In reality no one can predict the exact pump and dump coins.
But if we can keep some of our digital coins in large quantities and assume it's just a buried treasure, though bitcoin prices will drop dramatically but one day it will definitely return to the top of the high price, and when our coin is still buried.
It will be a tremendous victory

Buy in the dips? Well I don't see any dips incoming or none took place recently, are you talking about $2100?
If that's the case, I don't think that it will be making any such differences to anybody's decisions over selling or holding Bitcoins because according to me, even buying at current rates will one day give the investors bigger profits as it is not going to stop ANYWHERE.
I think there was a recent dip when we reached $2900 and then it dropped back to $2300. If you sold at $2900 and bought back at $2300 then that means profits for you if you were able to follow those dips. I think it's a usual occurrence in bitcoins that we see this price dips and just see it slowly rise back up again.

Here are people who regret of not knowing bitcoin in 2010-2011. But most of them will not wait for few more years to get an excellent profit through bitcoin. Bitcoin has proven to be profitable in long terms. These short term pumps and dumps doesn't mean anything. For short term pump and pump, people should prefer altcoin trading instead bitcoin. I totally agree to OP, people should not just sell all their bitcoin if not absolutely required. They might become rich through the amount of bitcoin they are holding today in some 5 years.

Bear season or just the beginning
Totally agree with you bruhh. Hold all your profits and take your capital. I mean that's why I did, so there's non need for you to panic sell when the prices drops down and then just chill.
