It is not impossible for an 18-year-old to become a billionaire because of bitcoin, why is that so? indeed, if some adults consider bitcoin to be a threat and something taboo, it is different from the boy who kicked bitcoin from the other side that people did not realize and were able to see, which turned out to be the thing that made him change and change his views others about bitcoin.

"I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault."

It's a big statement! An 18 year old male who grew up in an affluent family, is not a good fit for making such statement! Becoming a millionaire doesn't make you eligible for such statements!

People come from different backgrounds, different financial situations and different family situations! To get a different perspective of life, speak to a slum boy someday!

True, not everyone has the privilege to get thousands of dollars at a young age or even be able to handle a computer properly. He got lucky that we was given the education he needed in order to understand Bitcoin and invest in it at an early stage.

He was just lucky on putting a bet on bitcoin, and that statement is just plain dumb. Be like other millionaires that is just so humble on their achievements using cryptocurrency. Hoping the luck will ever in his favor forever.
agree with you indeed this is because of luck,
maybe luck is indeed on him and not everyone can have that fortune, this is a gift that is indeed obtained and he executes it correctly. this is the advantage of crypto who can use the benefits, so he gets the luck.

This is an indication that in some situation, education is not the only bridge to success but also skills and determination. This young boy is just so lucky that he god his family supporting all his journeys. If we'll all have that eagerness and strategy, we'll also be successful as well.

This child is surrounded by families who support what he wants to do especially his brother who first played Bitcoin became a motivation for him to compete to be the best. Basically he didn't know about how Bitcoin grew, he just realized that he had Bitcoin when he wanted to meet someone. He bought at a low price and sold it at a high price which meant he was just lucky to be an unexpectedly millionaire.

This is all true. This child had the sense to invest his money instead of spend it on toys and gadgets and technology. He also times it well. Some of us didn't. We lost out. He had disposable money so he risked it. We didn't.

I just summarized it with my own wordswhat I have understand about his journey on how he became millionare. You can read all his story with the link i provided below my post. Also, i did not copy paste it. You can simple pin point it easily since my English and my grammar is not that good and intact.

However, back to the topic. I envy the boy so much. He was so determined to become victorious in life. He was so lucky the btc's price back then was so cheap.

"If you birth poor and you died rich, you made a great life. But if you birth poor and died poor, that is your sin"

The philosophy I have said is the sayings of my countrymen. I really disagree with this maxim. It is an egocentric philosophy for me. Why do we need to be rich? Do we take it after death? I don't care if I died poor as long as the people around me are glad when we are together.

We don't need to become millionaire because through aspects of life is to become aware of what you are doing in this earth. Adam Smith say, wealth can't be measured by materials things but by the welfare of the people around you.

I agree with you not everyone could become millionaire .
The boy surely doesn't know how it is to start from zero just by reading how he started in crypto you would already know that he is already wealthy enough to buy plenty of Bitcoin.
Surely he made some progress but we all know that he didn't do it on his own there are people who help him (Family) unlike most of us who are earning and feeding ourself .

I think your statement is wrong, is making a statement like that only for people from poor families? I think he only provides motivation for all of us to make the right decision from now on because if in the next 10 years you are not successful, that is because you waste now. I still appreciate the boy, he has made quite remarkable changes in the class of boys.

If buy at that time and hold until bull year when price was 20k +$ and sell yes he got 1 mil. $ and was a wise decission to buy and hold. The problem now is bitcoin cost a lot and no one know when will grow enough to bring a huge profit.

I really like the expression ,,be in the right place at the right time,,The guy, even if you omit the fact that he is from a rich family, was not afraid and bought an unknown bitcoin. At that time, not everyone would have agreed to this.

So the key to being a Bitcoin millionaire was, besides being darn well active for a teenager, creating and selling Botangle and then being able to HODL to the BTCs he obtained as a result of the process, building-up his portafolio all along from there on. The guy seems a bit of a brat, but you’ve got to give him the faith and push he seems to have (as opposed to being on the PS4 all day long).

This kid is something else. Weird thing is that this story is pretty old and many including me were already aware of his success thanks to his Youtube interviews and articles related to him which is why op seems to have heard of this story really late.

Many are calling him arrogant and I admit that he is, but this does not necessarily mean that this is a bad thing. He basically took control of his life at such a young age and pushed forward and continued to improve his portfolio which is mighty impressive if you ask me.

This really talks to me. Damn. I got teary reading this. My best part is this "I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault." It is so so so true.
You want to make it in life? You gotta push hard. Take control!!. Be a monster and release the beast!! So many times we blame a million other things when we are the ones in charge of what happens and no one else.

I was very upset because I had enough money to buy 10 bitcoins a long time ago with money my gran gave me. I had nothing to do with it and wanted to invest it in bitcoin. I was spoken out of it but I shouldn't have listened. Later on I did need the money but I wish I just bought bitcoin and forgot about it. The quote a repeated above makes me feel like I still have a second chance and that I shouldn't give up.
I missed a life-changing event. Should I give up? Never!! Life changing events happen all around us. This makes me want to try even harder and this time get it right, learn from my mistakes and forgive myself.
I won't let it happen again. Yet I still feel the sting, I wouldn't need to work right now if I had just followed through my plan.

You never know the future though so maybe I am much too hard on myself Sad

all the same, the correct investments were made, any other teenager would spend the$ 1000 received from his grandmother on entertainment, he did not do it and invested in bitcoin, and did not lose.

There are lies, damned lies and statistics. MTwain
Neither the OP (nor the reference article in the OP) complete the kid’s journey to the 1M$ goal. The 100.000$ he got from selling his BTC at age 15 were subsequently invested as follows:

-   He then created Botangle, an online business related in the field of education.

-   In 2015 he managed to sell the company for 300 BTC (declining the 100K$ alternative payment he was given).

-   Allegedly, he still kept increasing his portafolio, having over 400 BTC as of the time of the article below referenced (one year ago roughly).

He was lucky because he was born to an affluent family and his grandmother gave him a few thousand bucks for purchasing some little known asset. But I don't think that they got the calculation right. He has 100 BTC in his wallet. As per the current exchange rates, they will be worth somewhere around $780,000. That's not exactly a million $$$.
