In my country, I think bitcoin isnt that popular but it is beginning to be popular.  But the problem is that. Im afraid people might get a bad impression about bitcoin since it is advertized by networking company and taking advantage of the ignorance of people about bitcoin and blockchain.  I just hope  those company won't run with their members money coz i don't wanna see another bad news about bitcoin activities.

Yeah and the main reason people hesitate in investing their money in bitcoin is that they have fear of loosing their money and that is the major drawback with bitcoins.

In my country, it is a big problem, because no one know about Bitcoin, even when i want to explain about the bitcoin and other crypto currenies than they never want to listen it, because they have no interest on it, and also my government not accept it, thats why my country's people not interested.

it hard to explain about something they not see ( for example : gold they can see and touch) here bitcoin they can not see and touch. that why they not trusted. but i think it still existing some market in there like gambling or casino they are looking for bitcoin ?

if you're knowing bitcoin and you say that no one know bitcoin in your country, this could be considered as a contrary sentence, even they just don't show any interest, they will eventually try to find out what is bitcoin by themselves when bitcoin just got the popularity, your effort is not such a waste, they atleast heared the bitcoin name because of you

I am yet to find a single company that accepts bitcoin here in my country, not even people accept it in businesses or other ventures as payments, very rare. Though there are many individuals that use bitcoin and are off to earning btc, some have earned a lot already too but its not in the market yet, nor in businesses either. And I still think its quite some time before Govt. or any other big organization here is gonna consider it as optional let alone making it their main currency.

Then you must be the lucky one, because you're the only people who understand about Bitcoin.
Just because the government doesn't accept it, doesn't mean that it's illegal right?
By the way, have you tried to introduce Bitcoin to your family or some close friends.

in my country banned the use of bitcoin, but many are using bitcoin

The popularity of bitcoin in cyberspace has begun to occupy the hearts of Indonesia, for the sake of the challenge - the challenge of continuously attacked bitcoin developments in Indonesia until about Bank Indonesia (BI) according to which law violations if using bitcoin as a payment instrument.
I think Indonesia did not leave a ban on the use of bitcoin. they handed over all responsibility for the use of virtual currency to its own

It will depend on population of country and the percentage of people aware about the bitcoins, if people are tech friendly and believe in innovative technology then they will surely start using it.

This is indeed. if a nation don't even aware of Internet and Technology hwo they can get to know bitcoin then? no way.
it depends on the Nation's education and awareness of the latest technology. United states is the most educated and developed country so there is no doubt that when a new thing and a new invention came United states people will adopt that first of all.

about my country, I am not living in a well developed country. but here in my county bitcoin craz is increasing day by day.

Bitcoins here in my country, only like 5% of people use them.  Sad Sad
Location: somewhere in SEA
im from europe and i have never seen any people using it without me, to be honest that would be cool though

You cannot keep a watch on each and every people, and there may be many people who are using it but don't want to disclose it, and I think in Europe there will many people who are using bitcoin.

I live in Indonesia, and I can say bitcoin is quite popular in here, especially in big cities. We have some local exchanger, and some offline merchants accept bitcoin as payment.
And in my city, I join bitcoin community and we regularly hold gathering with bitcoin users. We discuss everything about bitcoin, like bitcoin recent news, bitcoin development in my country, tips for trading, etc.

- What they normaly do with bitcoin in your country ?
Since we barely can spend bitcoin in real life here, so people in here use their bitcoin for trading, gambling, or investment.

- Do you think your country will replace US for number of bitcoin users in near future ?

No, I don't think it will happen.
Comparing with US, most people are still unaware with bitcoin.

It's not about how many people are already aware of the Bitcoin, it's about how many populations that we have compared to them.
But however, nothing is impossible.

Beside a few bars and restaurants there are no real interesting places to spend coins here, which is a shame. But then again, even if Bitcoin would be accepted much more throughout the stores here, beside me, how many people would be actually using Bitcoin as payment option? Don't think it would be much.
I think in the future you can spend for any bitcoin. because you know that bitcoin will be mainstream in the future and will become a global currency

Global currency in the way that you can spend Bitcoin everywhere, or that it takes over every other currency? If you are talking about the first part, then it already is somewhat of a global currency since you can use it basically in every store around the world accepting it. If you talk about the last part, then no, Bitcoin will remain to be an alternative.

I agree with that. There is so much happening to the world that it will be a big time consuming if changes in currency will happen. That is why it will remain as an alternative for many years although we dont know in 30-40 years if it can be changed.
Yes I agree to, there is so many people who use smartphone and internet conection in the world. The news about bitcoin will be easily dissemination. I think they will interest to learn about bitcoin because it's so potential to be resources. In my country only  small amount of people who knew about bitcoin. But i'm sure that amount is increase every time.

I don't know anyone personally that holds bitcoin, all of those that live here that holds bitcoin I meet some of them online, and I think most of them just convert it to fiat after receiving and use it for their daily living or part of it...There is not much place to use bitcoin here, only in online shops.. Because of that, I think there is no chance that users here will be more than that of US..
