I think most of us can say that Bitcoin isn't popular in the whole world. So most of us can say that Bitcoin isn't popular in our country. Here in the Philippines, only a few actually uses Bitcoin. Most netizens just read some articles about it so whenever Bitcoin becomes a topic in a conversation, they can pretend as if they know a lot about it.
when the whole world is not knowing one currency,it's fine, did you even know what's the currency's name of a small country like Micronesia or anything else? I guess no,so when bitcoin still growing its popularity this matter is normal and it's really fine, and if people just reading article about bitcoin, some of them will eventually join us when getting interested to trying this thing

However, the number of people that are getting informed about bitcoin can only grow. I think after years and after a lot of people have a great experience with bitcoin, it'll be finally popular in most areas.

Bitcoins here in my country, only like 5% of people use them.  Sad Sad
Location: somewhere in SEA
how you can know how much the exact amount of people in your country using bitcoin? any reasonable facts or proof? even a big company lets say coinbase can't calculate the exact amount of bitcoin users in specific region, even they can,the result will become innacurate,or you just guessing or what?

Beside a few bars and restaurants there are no real interesting places to spend coins here, which is a shame. But then again, even if Bitcoin would be accepted much more throughout the stores here, beside me, how many people would be actually using Bitcoin as payment option? Don't think it would be much.
I think in the future you can spend for any bitcoin. because you know that bitcoin will be mainstream in the future and will become a global currency

Global currency in the way that you can spend Bitcoin everywhere, or that it takes over every other currency? If you are talking about the first part, then it already is somewhat of a global currency since you can use it basically in every store around the world accepting it. If you talk about the last part, then no, Bitcoin will remain to be an alternative.

I agree with that. There is so much happening to the world that it will be a big time consuming if changes in currency will happen. That is why it will remain as an alternative for many years although we dont know in 30-40 years if it can be changed.

it do not think it will be change in long time like 30 or 40 year
i think it will huge change in next 5 year

Huge change in next 5 years? I doubt bitcoin will be main choice of currency 5 years later.
At most, bitcoin price will be in 4 digits and many big companies will accept bitcoin as payment solution.

Also, government won't let government become strong currency.

I live in Indonesia, and I can say bitcoin is quite popular in here, especially in big cities. We have some local exchanger, and some offline merchants accept bitcoin as payment.
And in my city, I join bitcoin community and we regularly hold gathering with bitcoin users. We discuss everything about bitcoin, like bitcoin recent news, bitcoin development in my country, tips for trading, etc.

- What they normaly do with bitcoin in your country ?
Since we barely can spend bitcoin in real life here, so people in here use their bitcoin for trading, gambling, or investment.

- Do you think your country will replace US for number of bitcoin users in near future ?

No, I don't think it will happen.
Comparing with US, most people are still unaware with bitcoin.

Here in Belgium, it's not that popular in he grand scheme of things, but we do have a lot of local services for Bitcoin, mostly companies from The Netherlands that also offer their serv8ces in Belgium.
One that I can think of is Bitonic, makes it easy and instant to buy and sell Bitcoin, but with a rather high fee.

I do feel that there aren't really that many users over here.

nice to here that good new from you
i do believe we still have the way to get bitcoin at low fees.
some buyer have to pay high fees but seller alway find the best place for sale. for example, if we can get real buyer, we will get higher price ( even buyer get lower fees)

yes, bitcoin is quite popular in my country. bitcoin users has been overwhelming and now there are some who receive the purchase bitcoin exchanger. some offline stores have already started using bitcoin as a medium of payment finances.
I think it's very fortunate if in your country many offline stores already accept bitcoin. because I'm sure you will be more frequent for spending and surely you'll find it easier to use bitcoin
