To stop smoking is really hard. I would recommend buying a book about how to stop smoking and throw all ur cigarettes away or start to consume only one per day and then decrease like from one per day to 3 per week or smthng.

Your smoking habit is ingrained in your subconscious mind, try changing your smoking to another habit, stop thinking about it + discipline yourself.

That is a really long period of time. Did you try vaping? You can regulate the amount of nicotine in it.
My cousin said vaping is more dangerous than smoking because you need to refill it with liquid, which we don't know if that is safe. Although the smells of vaping are quite different than smoking, I still don't recommend vaping.
Maybe if someone wants to quit smoking, he needs to have a strong will to stop, and he must have control over himself to say not to smoke.
I think vaping is much more dangerous, there are some news about accident related to vape such us exploding of the device and etc. And also it produce more smoke even if the smell is good because of the flavor it is still can affect the human health.

I suggest if every advice and replies in the topic didn't work for you then i suggest you should go for a rehabilitation it will be more effective.

Nope vaping is just another source of Health problem provider ,and besides what is the sense of quitting smoking when you are still smoking though it is electric way?

you only regulating the amount of nicotine but still not proper way of doing such.

Well at least vape pens have only pure nicotine and no other nasty staff like benzol and tar.

I heard people are more addicted to benzol rather than nicotine itself
yeah i got your point but the thing is peoplea re not really stopping smoking by using vape because it is a smoke also just in form of electronic and less Nicotine and other substances .

So still we don't need to fight smoking but we must fight ourselves from desiring to smoke each time.

It is certainly possible without gradually developing the habit you just have to be more discriminating with the help you render toward other people the urge to smoke arises from time to time. This is why when the urge to smoke arises someone can talk on the telephone someone at the beginning of a conversation someone while watching tv someone after a meal someone or sipping a cup of tea if you try for a while everything will be fine.

Hi there, guys! I am going to quit smoking soon too, it is really hard for me. Have you tried Chantix? What do you think about such thing? I apreciate all the replies here and methods you shared
Chantix is a kind of wallet which makes you to be less desirable of consuming nicotine but there are different kind of things available for the same purpose but none of them are really effective with someone who is really addicted to it so its a kind of business to make some money.

It all depends on how deep a smoker you might be. If you've been consuming fives sticks a day, reduce it to four or three and later one and then you later zero.
It's a gradual process that goes with discipline. Give it a trier and you'll surely see improvement and a stop in no time.

I started practicing cigarettes since I was 9 years old. Regular smoking starts from the age of 12. Now I am 26 years old, I'm trying hard to give up smoking, but can not do  not? Can someone give me some good advice to quit smoking?
My friend of mine has been smoking since he was 13, but thanks to the will and willpower, he quit smoking at 50. He also played sports. I also know of cases where pills have been effective. Some people recommend hypnosis and they say that it helps, but I myself do not really trust hypnosis, but this is just my opinion.

My suggestion is:

- find a motivation = why you want stop smoking?
- reduce the amount of cigarette smoked, trying to reach a very low amount daily (around 2-5)
- set up a date for quitting (likewise one year/next month etc)
- if you have a strong cough DON'T smoke. Human body will craving for nicotine just in the few weeks/days. In this manner you have gained some days of smoking free despite having all negative effect related abstinence.
- if you are without cigarettes DON'T buy it. Close yourself at home (if you can) or use a substitute for few days like nicotine chewing gum.
- make sport (running is the best) when you are not smoking (it helps to clear the lung and meanwhile you can expel more nicotine with your sweat).

These are very good recommendations. Trying to quit to smoke is one of the hardest things I did and I relapsed so many times. One thing I would to add here is to not be too hard on yourself if you relapse. Almost everyone of my friends who wanted to stop smoking relapsed. It's just about to happen. For me the hardest was always when going out and drinking alcohol and people started smoking around me. Don't be to hard on yourself, best to look at every day on it's own.

From my experience, addiction to bad/unhealthy things or lifestyle can easily be stopped gradually, or stopped instantly/permanently through repentance and depending on GOD to heal and hold you together.
Never believed I would ever get rid of a bad addiction until I tried the latter... and it's permanent solution I am very confident will never return if I continue to depend on HIM.
I'm currently not addicted to anything that is bad for me,like bad food, bad drinks, bad lifestyle, masturbation, etc. Wasn't like this before until I totally depend on GOD for help.
And this is absolutely free

You have to work hard in this case! Try not to buy cigarettes for a week and if it works then try for another week! Also u can try mediation....it helps!

You can even search for Nicotex it helps in removing the cigarette addiction.

Hope this helps!🤞

Smoking is an escape from the present life situation. It is a kind of getting boosted that can be done even without having smoke. Just you have to get strong will for it. For that one has to look for self worth and boost it with whatever ways. Eat healthy. Busy your schedule. Meditiate and breathe deeply. You will feel that the need for smoke will be decreasing with time. Donot go for nicotine addicting gums and all. Just focus to build your mind strong

I used to be a smoker. I just kept on making myself busy with different things like gaming and work. I just woke up one day that I don't like smoking anymore.
I hope it was easy to quit just like that. It really depends on the smoker I remember the saying "if there's a will, there's a way".

Vape is a good alternative. My cousin switch to vaping and he is using an e-juice with less (or nothing at all) nicotine. Now I can see him vaping rarely and not smoking too.

This is an alternative for those who want to quit smoking cigarettes but this ain't different from the activity. It's going to be hard for real for those who are pushing to quit smoking.

But just try to practice limiting it per day and reducing the number you smoke until you to get to the lowest to zero. A gradual process could do the thing and help you get out of it.

This is fantastic news that you had strong courage to say no to smoking and had desire to quit it. It really requires people to be serious about it when comes to quitting as it’s never easy. Keeping busy helps as you get involved into something else and slowly may let go and day comes where you will be fine even without smoking.
