The gambling companies such as casinos want to make money, if they are helping beginners not to get addicted, it will affect the business. They may not do that.
The gambling companies will give that responsibility to someone else like the government or rehab support group to publish some advice to help beginners not to get addicted.
The reason why I'm not addicted to gambling is because even before I started to play gambling I already understand gambling and its addiction, and my understanding has helped me on how to follow up gambling. Sometimes I ask myself why do people get addicted to gambling, is it because they have no understanding or awareness about the addiction of gamble.
You are lucky to have had a soft landing in gambling. I started gambling in an easy way too but without much knowledge of the risk of addiction. Strangely, I was winning easily then and it was a smooth business that I later realized was not that easy as it seems especially when reality started setting in. The job of gambling companies is limited to telling their users the risk associated with gambling, they don't need to go beyond that and so far you will appreciate the fact that the gambling companies does that perfectly well with their TOS filled with all the information needed by the gambler. The burden of fighting gambling addition and managing risk is on the gambler and no one else. Besides, there is age cap that requires that every gambler is matured enough to take their decisions.
The reason why there are addicted gamblers is that most of them thought that gamble is a means of making profit or they think that gamble is an alternative way for someone to get rich without any effort of working. This orientation have blind folded a lot of people who are just coming into gambling.
Only few addicted gamblers got addicted because of using gamble to pass time. If anybody that is going into gamble is aware that gamble will only take what you have, and there is a slim chance of making profit in gamble, they will gamble responsible, and would not use big amount of money to bet that would affect their emotions to the extent of chasing their losses.

I think gambling companies do the best they can to educate their clients to gamble responsibly. What more doI expect from them? Nothing. They aren't going to come to the rooms or apartments of the gambler and give them a lecture on how to gamble responsibly. Everything the gambler needs to not get addicted is right there in their website. And they even have links to help addicts get help. Casino is a business and not a clinic to offer therapy to their clients. They are there for the business of making money. They are indifferent to whether a client becomes an addict or not. Theirs is to make money. And expand their business to be one of the best there is. We should all take responsibility for our actions because we control our decisions.
