Perhaps, this could be catalogued as an unpopular opinion from me, but I think it would be productive for beginners within the gambling world to be taught about the law of probabilities or the laws of chances and who it is applied to casinos and bets in general.
I have got the impression, those who have been left without a penny because their constant engagement with slots machines and dices is because from the beginning they did not have much of a formal education on how gambling actually works and the laws which work behind gambling itself for the house to have advantage over us in the long term.

I mean... It is not uncommon to heard or read from someone on the internet who had claimed to have "defeated the system" and be about to make money off gambling in a constant way, the sad reality is that those claims come from the ones who are the least informed on the laws of chances.

It would be similar to some inventor talking about who he is about the creste a perpetual motion machine (he would need some money to build it), I could assure you, anyone saying things like that have never gone through a class of basic thermodynamics.  

After all. Isn't Ignorance the fastest path towards destruction of oneself?

It's not about restricting them from gambling but making them aware of bad impacts of gambling addiction.
The right way to do it is already mentioned by you that they need to be taught about gambling.
Only when they know what gambling is about, they will be able to find out it's bad impacts and addiction.
There should be some kind of workshops that people should conduct which teaches people the negative impacts of gambling addiction.

Actually the process of getting addicted to gambling could come from many ways however when we talk about the possibility of a beginners who doesn't have a good understanding about gambling to become an addict, I doubt if that would caused him of becoming addicted because in as much as he or she may not have a good understanding about gambling doesn't mean that he doesn't understand the risk involved, so in that case the only way he will become an addict is when he start gambling with greed to get rich overnight and from there he will become overwhelmed with the desire to get rich.

And also one of ways at which most people normally get addicted is actually when they held with a pressing financial needs when he doesn't have a source of income, so they would project all there interest and devotion to gambling in other to meet up those needs so from there he can easily become an addict because he will become desperate to win.

I think just as you mention here, the best way is to educate people before they go in and do something that they may regret. I think this goes for most things in lif that might become a habit. If people done know the potential harms or risks before they do something, they are going to be a lot more prone to making mistakes if they hadent known otherwise.

It turns out that the most important thing is to know in advance what gambling brings you to. I think the most important thing in the fight against gambling addiction is to understand that they can become a real trap. As soon as gambler start playing, it seems like it's just entertainment, but then he realize that they can pull you in harder than you thought. For me personally, it became a realization that you need to be warned and not let yourself get carried away to such an extent that you lose control. It is important to remember that health and happiness are much more important than possible winnings.
I understand that there are lucky people, but this is not about me.

The possible main reason because of the money once they see the possible chance of winning a large amount they want to keep grinding the lever and make a bet, we cannot deny people who need money have the most urge to play gambling. It depends on you how you will see gambling if you find gambling as part of a source of money seems this is not suitable for beginner gamblers because their emotions as being a first timer is different to those people who have experience. If you have a concern to them guide them, but still not as you are the one who decides on their game, let them learn, have a mistake, and enjoy.

Do we really need to think that people get addicted to gambling simply because they don't understand gambling? That's harsh and it looks like we are insensitive to say it that way.

Anyways, you see, gamblers do understand what gambling is. This includes their understanding of the risk, possible effect on their life, financially, mentally, or anything negative that might come to them. But the thing is, people get addicted to gambling simply because they want to win quick money in gambling.

This also includes the enjoyment they feel, satisfaction, and even the happiness if ever they happen to win the jackpot which can be considered as a once in a lifetime opportunity due to having a low chance to make it happen.

What they don't have in this situation is realization. They understand it, believe me. But once they are up to gambling, they lose every concern they have including the possibility of losing money, their mind is more focused on winning during this time. If they have a realization, they can have a wider vision, control and avoid addiction if this happens.

But common thing happen to them is they usually ignore those reminders or anything that can demotivate them since they think that someone just envy on what they do and stopping them to gain profit. This is common mindset from newbies especially if they are been brought up to gamble by some individual telling a lie and say something that its easy to earn some money on those casino games.

But we can definitely give them some ideas on how to control themselves towards engaging to much on any gambling activities and now its up for them if they listen or not since its their responsibility on how they can guard their finances and mental state.

No one is telling you bet it your decision to want to gamble so you should be able to take yo responsibility rather that putting blames on anyone. They wouldn’t be a single complaint when you are winning so why should complain when losing. Some people don’t just know when to quit. They gamble and forget they have spent plenty couple of hours in the game. It is not wise to stay too long in the gambling house. Beginners need to understand that gambling is not the only source of income, so they shouldn’t just rely on gambling with that they may not too depend on gamble.

The key takeaway is that while casual gamblers can set limits and stop when losing, individuals with a gambling addiction are compelled to keep playing in an attempt to recover their losses, leading to a harmful pattern that can spiral out of control.

Not everyone has thoughts like you, the majority of people who are addicted to gambling usually cannot think intelligently, they tend to think more about how to get a lot of money from gambling without thinking, this will cause them to become addicted if they are not able to control themselves well, most beginners only know how to do it gambling and making money they initially just try and try and after being given a win once they become more addicted and want to get more. But if a beginner understands what addiction is and the causes, chances are he can prevent it from happening to him before it is too late.

Gambling existed long before Bitcoin, and there are also casinos that operate online without Bitcoin, so it's all relative. Addiction is a separate topic for discussion, most often the players just wants to return what they lost, so it was reasonable to simply not start delving into it if there were losses from the very beginning, or not delving into it so much that it could reach some critical value. Basically you are saying that companies should have "anti-ads", paid campaigns that actively discourage the use of the company's services. Yeah, that's not going to happen.

The only thing they usually have to do is put some text the government decided, like "gamble responsibly", but that's basically it.

actually more of the addicted gamblers are those people that desperately wanted to become instant millionaire , that is the reason why they are easily turns into addicted.
my mind was also into this back in the days until i realized that this is an stupid idea.


there are no gamblers that I believe turns addicted just because they wanted this as pass time , because those  type of people has attitude on knowing what they are doing.

I'm not an expert in psychology, but I think that addiction starts in a subconscious level, when your rational mind kinda loses control over your behavior. With that being said, just saying "don't get addicted" to the new gamblers simply won't do the work. Some people are genetically determined to get easily addicted, while others can't get addicted so easily. I'm sure that the noobs are aware about the risks of getting addicted, even the gambling addicts are aware about the risks, but they still get addicted. It's like a drug addict, who knows that drugs are bad, but he can't stop taking them. This subject is really complex and maybe some professional psychic doctor should share some real tips on how to prevent addiction.

i doubt that governments that legalize gambling would want to carry out awareness campaigns against gambling, since they make a lot of money from the industry. and when they hold this awareness campaign, the casino industry will definitely protest because they pay taxes but face discrimination from the government.

but even so, governments in countries where gambling is legal can regulate this industry for minors, so that will limit casinos from marketing their services to age groups that should not be involved in this industry. and it can prevent more children from being affected by gambling in the first place.

Newbies have various dreams about gambling. They don't think of gambling as excitement but consider it as a different motive. We can't restrict or demotivate them because the gambling depends on each individual. But we can definitely give them some ideas so that they can control themselves when they become too excessive or addicted. A novice gambler cannot control himself as much as an experienced gambler can. Beginners should be able to give ideas on how to manage their bankroll, including how much to bet according to their financial capabilities, after all how to practice responsible gambling.

Learning to gamble responsibly is more important than a gambler winning. Because winning will not come everyday but if a gambler can manage controlled gambling then he can manage gambling for a long time.

Yeah ,maybe yes maybe no, most people usually get addicted when it start winning after playing for quite some time.

To be honest  I know that gambling is really highly addictive but sometimes I just lose all of it    When start winning the game you gonna start the emotion-fueled over the body and the greed is crawling to your head.
Gambling companies usually put gambling responsible link in the footer and most people just don't aware off and tbh the company just want profit imo

As a beginner in gambling, the No. 1 rule for gambling is don't chase your losses. Ultimately, you will lose money gambling. And to become good gambler or even Pro you have to Set a Realistic Expectations and Exercising Excellent Money Management Skills. Thirdly getting the best odds by having an eye for value and being decisive in what you want. Be versatile and learn about different form of gambling and be realistic with your expectations. Don’t be idealistic. Don't assume every form of gambling is Luck-Based.

We cannot prevent anyone from trying to play gambling, good for beginners, we can only give good and appropriate advice and understanding to beginners that gambling should not be considered as an activity that can have a good impact on their lives, in fact gambling is actually what brings our lives. It gets worse if you play carelessly, meaning you play without good self-control so that the beginner gambles excessively.
Therefore, as experienced gamblers, we should not forbid anyone from playing gambling because it is their own choice. What we do is provide good understanding so that beginners play in the right way.

Gambling addiction has many dangers to face, and always a user is victimized and loses his mental balance. But I am still not that much into gambling that's why I didn't get addicted there, but I played there for few days, but I came back due to losing. I know how much a gambler's mindset changes when it becomes an addiction because it leads a person down a path of destruction. But many users are only newbies who sink too much into gambling to earn money, due to which at some point they become addicted. Gambling is one of the biggest hurdles for newbies today as it is being promoted everywhere, especially on social media as many casinos are promoting it these days. Although those who are in the present generation are somewhat aware, but the generations that are going to come in the future will definitely take this gamble as their own to go digital.
