2. Design of casinos - it was really brilliantly crafted by the design itself, very big, no clocks inside, and then the color could have played as well, like gold and red which they say is the lucky color or color of money.

from what I know also like that casino they intentionally design so that the building does not have windows and clocks, so that players can not see whether it is night or day and they can play nonstop and spend their money. that is a psychological trick played by the casino to make more people can last for hours inside and they do not remember to go home, and I think that is quite disgusting but that is how the casino makes money for their business.

3. Free drinks/alcohol and then there are live band - So they gave you free drinks and alcohol, but perhaps you make you drunk and so your judgement is clouded and potentially you losing big money. And then there are entertainment, such as live bands performing every hour to keep you inside and watch and have some fun while at the same time losing money.
This is your choice my brother, but yes, land-based casinos could do that, although the ones I know do not serve their alcohol for free, it's strictly on order after payment. But peradventure they serve someone like me their alcohol for free, I will be visiting there regularly. Do you know why? It's not because their alcohol works on me but because I want a free drink. Wink Anyone using alcohol to lure me to gamble more is only wasting his time because I will not drink more than my capacity and I will still gamble as I want to or even restrain myself more since I know I might probably be under the influence.

Yes, basically for the consumption issue that is provided by the casino, especially alcohol, it is a choice that can be determined by the gamblers regardless of whether it is provided for free or paid, but of course I think it does not make sense if the casino provides alcoholic drinks for free to gamblers because of course it will also increase expenses for the casino while the casino's income is not evenly distributed all the time. Basically, yes, most likely the purpose of the casino providing such drinks is because maybe they want to make gamblers lose consciousness when they gamble so that there is a possibility for gamblers to gamble blindly and spend all their money, but on the other hand, yes, if every gambler who is in that situation really knows about how much alcohol they should consume, then they should not be included in the casino's trap, meaning it all comes back to you.

Casinos employ specialists - psychologists who specifically come up with all sorts of psychological tricks to make customers stay longer in the casino and lose their money.
I do not think there is any specialist or psychologist that is necessary for this. The casinos are naturally where people will gamble for fun but losing. People's losses mean the casino will continue to provide their gambling services.

You will not find a wall clock in any offline casino. This is done specifically so that players feel like they are in an alternative reality, where there is no usual flow of time. Also, casinos usually do not have windows - so that it is impossible to determine whether it is day or night. In "generous" casinos, waiters bring alcoholic drinks to customers - players for free. In more "greedy" casinos, alcoholic drinks are sold for money.
But someone can always check the time on wrist watch or phone. This can be an excuse in the past but not now. So why are online gambling making so much money? People play on their phone or laptop that has clock but they like to continue to gamble whenever they are not busy. There is more to gambling than casinos not having wall clock and windows.

Maybe you can add to it as what are you think we keep on coming back as if we are under the spell of this big casinos?
The ambiance, the sound. You know those stuff aren't really getting noticed by the gamblers whether it's with the physical or online casinos but they're impactful to the gamblers. But I think it's more impactful with the physical casinos when you feel the ambiance and you get to vibe with the other gamblers there. AFAIK, the sounds that are from the games inside the premises and even online have a psychological effect to the gamblers and that's one of the reasons why it stimulates our minds and emotions and makes us coming back from time to time.

Yes, the ambiance, when you enter the casinos, it's like you are entering a different world as you hear those sounds from the machines and even the balls rolling on the roulette table. And I do agree that it stimulates our brain and be attracted to have the same experience as before.

However, I want to mention one thing, in all casinos, there is a specific person who looks normal but works for the casino. Their job is to motivate those who have lost a little money and want to leave the casino. They talk to the gamblers and convince them to play again, assuring them that this time they will win and this is how they deceive gamblers who struggle with decision-making and lack confidence.

Weird though, I haven't heard this situation before, I only here this if the games are not in big casinos, but maybe in fly by night betting shops that I used to play before. But big and huge casinos? nah, I do not think that they have employed someone to encourage gamblers. Maybe to bring whales and big gamblers, yeah, that's true and that's what we call Junket operator.

Aside from excellent customer service, the treatment. If someone is felt VIP done by the casinos and its staff, that's one way to make a gambler keep on coming back. Because of special the treatment, it's going to make every gambler feel that they've given importance by the casino. Who doesn't want to be treated well? All of us, so, best customer service, treatment and being attended to makes us confident and happy. And whenever a customer is happy, that's one of the reasons why we become repeat customers/gamblers.

Yeah, who wouldn't forget the case of Terrance Watanabe:

The thing you have mentioned on the op I think I saw in a youtube video few days ago even then these are not words to throw away they are true what I think.

Actually, these activities of a casino's gives signals that they are really did these to attract the gamblers and I saw in that youtube channel those casino brings their customer from the hotel or house with cars and I saw see in that video that those casino provide these services to those gambler who loss at their gambling with high amount of money I mean they particularly give these service to their VIP gamblers. I didn't have experience on a physical casino and nor I am a VIP member of a casino but I played on some online casinos but things are not false.

I agree that there are many factors that make the experience of playing in a land-based casino so interesting, land-based casinos have their own charm that makes it difficult for fans to leave. And besides what has been mentioned by OP, there are factors such as atmosphere, lighting and even the sound of slot machines and the crowds in it. All of this is designed in such a way as to create an atmosphere of a place that is so exciting.

As for psychology, "almost winning" which makes someone think that they are always close to a big win, this can really make someone continue to bet and increase their bets. The sensation that is presented when getting a win even though it is only once out of many defeats experienced, this can really provide a dopamine boost that makes players satisfied with their victory. Even though the results may not be comparable to what they spend.

From the many factors, this is a combination that makes the experience of playing in a casino more than just a place to gamble, but a place of entertainment that is exciting and attractive.

Psychology influences everything. There is no area of life, business,or any industry where psychology doesn't play a huge role in having an influence on people. I can even say that casino operators could go as far as having consults who help them tailor their business psychology with the ultimate aim to influence the behaviors of gamblers.

Mainly to attract them and secondly to keep them at their seats on the machine for the longest of time and lastly to keep them coming back for more. They use technology to do this psychological influence, they use celebrities and influencers to do this psychological influence, other means too. It is a competitive advantage for them.

You are right mate, I agree with what you have said, especially in the aspect of free drinks and a good looking casino. I remember a casino that I and my friends usually go to have fun and the reason we love there is because of how cool it looks and the free play they usually give to their frequent customers.

The psychology of gambling is very appealing at the beginning but the end is always something that is never impressive. I keep asking myself why casinos are always giving us huge amounts of bonus even in sport bets for us to win huge amounts of winning that can be very difficult to have such kind of results at the end. Gambling is very luring playing bets consecutively and not having consistent winnings since we keep making profits and losing it at the same time. There are more to gambling than we actually know and it is good we should always try and control ourselves.
Casinos are often large structures that invest a lot of money in building a strong team and a good advertising budget, for them it is a business and they get profit from the players' money, so they are ready to use any possible methods to influence the players. Free bonuses are a nice gift for the player, rather like a loyal attitude towards him, and a way to make this player a regular customer in the casino. Any successful business implies working with the client, doing everything possible so that the player returns to them again and again.

Well, it is simple. Money itself in form of profit is enough to make things work for casinos. Everyone wants to earn big in an instant which creates drive for gamblers to engage in this industry. Given that there are many gambling platforms in the market, the best way to outshine competitors is to make an offer that will catch the interest of the players such as bonuses and rewards. Another is to retain the players and that is with user experience in particular with customer service (at least in my preference). I do believe that Psychology doesn't do that much for the gambling providers and it is just the discipline and urge of players who plays most of the part; casinos are just targetting those factors.
When a gambler is under the influence of alcohol he loses more because he isn't in control of his actions, this is the reason why they can make the alcohol drinks free, it's actually a business strategy that works for the casino everytime. There are a lot of things put in place in casinos to put people under this psychological trap, they  are people feel like they can be millionaires overnight if they keep trying. They can even put up someone with the highest win of the day on the screen for people view, this is a mental trap and if you fall for it you'll end up losing money.
I agree with indirect encouragements such as flashing people who won on the screen, it does indeed work with players' desire of winning as well. But if it is with alcohol, I quite doubt of it. Well yes to some people it really works but not all people act that much due to alcoholic influence. It is more of their drive for money. Everyone wants to get rich and that lead them to try and engage with gambling activities or to test their luck for the sake of achieving what they are dreaming of. Money is just that strong to be a tool for gamblers to continue what they are doing despite of warnings and moral viewpoint towards this industry.

We can observe that casinos lately have their own methods for bringing players in and keeping them engaged with many events. Even without the physical presence, the marketing team always know how to recreate a similar allure to offer their clients a tempting environment and play with our psychology. Personally, this i what I think stands for the casinos’ ways to affect gamblers:
Offering welcome deposit and non-deposit bonuses, free spins and loyalty rewards which called rakeback that keeps players inside. The excitement of getting free value gives players a reason to keep playing even after losses. Second is graphics, sounds, and animations which are crafted to impress us.
While most online casinos also use vibrant colors and effects that shows traditional casino styles, triggering the same rush for us to keep gambling.
Last, the good support and quick responses from their team to fix any unconvinces or issues inside the casino account.

I've been fascinated on how casinos really attracted gamblers on the games that they have that people come back for more even if they lose money. I'm talking about land base casinos here as it is really very attractive and the atmosphere are different.

So from what I observed, there are some that I think that might add to it's aura that's why we do play on them.

1. Incentives and Rewards - majority of casinos have this membership card, and so when you play and you used it, you will accumulate points and you can used this points like to get free merchandise from them. I even have been given free hotel accommodation.

2. Design of casinos - it was really brilliantly crafted by the design itself, very big, no clocks inside, and then the color could have played as well, like gold and red which they say is the lucky color or color of money.

All the things you mentioned are tools that a casino uses to engage a person in gambling. It's human nature, people always get bored playing the same game repeatedly. For that reason, casinos do not allow any clocks on the walls and use bands to entertain the gamblers. In the same way, they offer free alcohol. All these things help gamblers focus more on the game instead of other distractions, which encourages them to stay in the casino.

However, I want to mention one thing, in all casinos, there is a specific person who looks normal but works for the casino. Their job is to motivate those who have lost a little money and want to leave the casino. The moment you start winning from casinos especially if you are a beginner just know that you have entered a psychological trap, it's very common to get lucky on your first try but it's a system that has made so many people addicted to Gambling. After making a lot of money from a few bucks you will definitely want to try again at some point. The third point is quite agreeable, there's a reason why alcoholic drinks are not for sale in a casino, they know that it's going to be easy for people to lose when they get intoxicated with alcohol, this is indeed a psychological trap.

Ill say they are more like a UX designer. One who understand the nature of the business and how to improve the experience of the customers to enjoy everything in the platform. Normally a UX expertise is expected to make the experience of interacting with the casino as enjoyable and easy for the customers. It involves things that we entice the customers, how they will feel and response to each feature, improving the usability. This means that they think like the customer and if they were the customer what will they want from this casino.

I know a guy from an old job that was a regular at the Hard Rock Casino and he would always rave about the "Plum Lounge" and they have free food and drinks of course and they are always giving away items of value to their members. I remember this one time that he said they gave him this coupon to pick a brand new beats headphones which are usually a couple hundred dollars. He spends so much money there that they can afford to do that I guess and clearly its working for them.

this is part of a big marketing story the casino's task is to make the player fall in love with it. So that he feels as comfortable as possible and feels satisfaction from the fact that he is spending money here and accordingly soften his feelings in case of a big loss the general atmosphere of fun will cloud him. The task of any service is to make its user permanent this is business. The same is with online casinos, more advantages for receiving a bonus for a newcomer than for a regular player is also not without reason.

The casinos are generous in giving promos/bonuses/cashbacks and whatnot because it keeps the gamblers coming back for more. At the end, the casinos earn more from gamblers falling for these tricks than the money they distribute. Even in online casinos, they do the same thing.

They might not be able to build a physical presence but the way their online platform is designed can also play tricks in a gambler’s mind. They create a platform that is engaging and exciting to look like. They make their platform sparkly basically and let gamblers reach out to bonuses.
