I discovered cryptocurrency way back 2017. I just became curious bacause some of the movies that I watched mentioned the word "cryptocurrency" or sometimes it is the part on the main story. Then I made some research about it and upon reading, it happens that I opened the website forum "bitcointalk" and I read a lot of information about crypto. After few months of readings, I found out that there is a bounty in crypto wherein I can earn stakes/coins which can be turn into actual or real money. That is how I met crypto 4 years ago.

I think the majority of users here met crypto because they want to earn easy money online at home. This is just my opinion and to be honest this I myself is included to the swaps of people who wants to earn online by just staying at home sitting in front of the computer and do nothing. I want to know your stories.
When i started there were no monetary gains and i started to support the network and to have a wallet to test the innovation of having a decentralized currency and understand what it is all about. I did make a profit down the line with the coins i mined which i never expected when i started and burned a couple of expensive graphic cards.

Me? Not really though that's a part of it but that ain't the whole reason why am I here in crypto. There would be people like me that would be in here, not directly in the forum, but in crypto space due to how convenient it helped me do a simple transaction.
Here in the Philippines, tollway payments are now starting to be cashless through sticker scan like rfid and me at home would pay my bills through cryptocurrency with the use of 3rd party apps like Coins.ph, since merchants here aren't accepting direct Bitcoin/crypto payments just yet.

This is one of my motivations so that I can be involved in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. At that time I was in need of a side job, I needed more money because I will be getting married in 2017. In short, I learned to trade with a friend who has studied crypto first and started trying airdrops and bounties, until now.

Nothing is easy, repeatedly loses, it is all a learning process. the important thing is not to give up and continue to evaluate previous mistakes so as not to get caught in the same mistakes. Don't be greedy, enjoy the process.

Known it through random sites and article. Way back then, I am searching for a way to earn profit without investing that much and I don't know but this technology, especially Bitcoin, is spreading awareness to more people about its existence. I saw it from the ads through different social media platform. Then curiosity pushed me to explore things and to avoid being judged by other people. I also experienced asking things to those people who are here ever since. Then it was also intrucued, when you . Sr edis talked about their recent profit. But things won't be ofcourseeaser on hance.

I learned about cryptos from a friend whose attention was caught by the Silk Road scandal, and it was soon clear that it's so much more than just some money that drug dealers use. I was attracted by the idea of it being completely digital and independent of countries, but getting involved on this forum honestly was about some ways of earning money at first. But then I got used to reading the news, started caring about the new regulations and really rooting for Bitcoin. Again, at first I wanted my hodlings to reach some nice levels, so I was very focused on the price, but right now the price is not something that bothers me or is of big interest to me. However, it is quite sad for me that after all these years I've been closely following the market and everything, adoption of Bitcoin as actual money that can be used to pay for goods and services is still on a very low level.

Also, as a simple answer to the insufficient basic salary.
It's just not enough whatever side you look at it.
You will need something more to make money from.

I have that kind of view with things before but once I got the profit I needed, I stopped.
There is a chance for some of the cryptocurrency projects to look at a bigger picture. For the future.
All they need is support.

Wayback at the first bullish of bitcoin year 2017 to be exact i have decided to myself to try my luck in trading and i was crediting it all to the friend of mine who introduce cryptocurrency to me. At first i was hesitant if it is worth it, do i can generate a profit from it. Well to be honest i am afraid to take the risks of putting even such any amount of principal in cryptocurrencies at that time because i'm still not convinced how does it work. But luckily i'd listen to my friend and here i am now.

Kind of an odd experience tbh. I wasn't exactly looking for faucets, nor a way to make money. I just met my friend in the library of my college and oddly enough, was doing something with it that I completely did not realize. Went up to ask him about it, and turns out he was using it to mine coins, specifically Bitcoin (from what he said anw). Now I'm not sure how legit it was, but it did look like it was mining something, but after that, I basically didn't take notice of crypto. It took me maybe 1-2 years before I saw it again, and only then did I fully immerse myself in the community.

Came for the money, stayed for its principles and technology. I see blockchain to be the future in most industries, Bitcoin being about the farthest you will be able to go in the next few years/decades to get financial freedom. With cash going out soon, this is tbe best we can get. Lots of people are here for the bucks, but not few of them stay for what Bitcoin truly offers.

A friend of mine told me about faucets in the early years as a way to test crypto for free. But then things escalated quickly for me - within a week, I had a $4k rig, mining and trading Smiley A couple of months later, I gave up the mining, but I'm trading to this day.

same to me im start from faucet and try bitcoin gambling and hyip but unfortunately i didn't catch up mining rig but i do invest some of it on cloud mining and made profit on 2017

I want to know your stories.
There is no serious story in the digital or online world, only you need to do and capital to trade and invest in crypto.

In the past we were sued by manuals, now along with the development of sophisticated and modern technology, everyone thinks of the best way to make money, generally as you say crypto.

Story if you go into the world of crypto what you need to do is careful, be careful what you do/the crypto assets you have, a little wrong You can lose everything, bottom line: me and you are careful in doing something if you are already in the world of crypto.
Don't let it happen, for example: people make money at home online, instead you lose money online.

Yeah there is nothing wrong with people who meet crypto because they want to earn money at home. It is called survival. Crypto is my only source of income right now tbh. I was once working on a day job but I lost it due to pandemic. That is why I made my own due deligence with crypto for a much better income.

Because of curiosity and the influence of fellow traders. They told me that I would also try and find out what is in the crypto currencies. Of course I agreed as I know that in the future the world will adopt it as well. And now I have been through a lot here. And I am ready to continue what I started.

Well, me knowing bitcoin basically began with a friend of mine. Back in college, they used to form a circle just to talk about things I didn't understand at that time which is crypto. Then I got intrigued and decided to asked them things and then they encouraged me to try it. At first, I was skeptical because it's new to me. But eventually I gave it a try and here I am, from being a skeptic to being a supporter.

Like many others, the urge was to try and earn money. But as time goes by, I realized that it shouldn't have to always be that way. I realized that I won't really get anywhere if my goal is solely earning. That's why I have decided to read related things in my spare time. Learning is an essential part as well and that should always go before the earning part. Learning, after all, is for the long term and earning is a bonus.

I remember back at 2013 when i searched at Google how to earn money online.
At that time i came across several articles regarding Bitcoins Trading, at that time BTC trading has lot more fans and i was also curious to know about me.
But as I didn’t had enough equipments for it, i dropped the idea.
Later on after many days i found about gambling with BTC and there was the place I gained interest into.
In that way I gained intrest into BTC and by trading and Gambling , i have made good couple of money.

Yes I'm too, I know Bitcoin after I search about how to earn money online and some of article often included Bitcoin on their list. Then I search how to get Bitcoin easily, most of them always said by faucet. Freebitco.in is the first sites I earn few satoshi on their faucet, but I can't withdraw it since the faucet I got is very small and they had minimum withdrawal.

Since I can't got some satoshi from faucet, so I decided to invest because many article always say Bitcoin is a good investment with the most highest ROI. After that I got some profit and continue to learn more about Bitcoin, the history and how Bitcoin works. Because I don't want to invest in an asset that I don't know about what I invest for, it's just like a gambling IMO.

Yes, most people that get involved with Bitcoin are looking for ways to make money online. This is backed up by the fact that many people seem to be moving to altcoins, because of the potential profit there is to be had, over, and over on the numerous coins being released on a weekly basis.

However, why people get into Bitcoin specifically might differ from person to person. Bitcoin, is likely one of the first cryptocurrencies that you are likely to come across, and thus some people will pick Bitcoin, and stick with Bitcoin solely for that reason. Secondly, it could be because Bitcoin offers the support, and documentation, which is hard to find with newer altcoins, and means that the accessibility of those aren't as good as Bitcoin. Finally, Bitcoin could well be the most popular because its one of the few that actually has some sort of merit behind it. It was not made, to pump, and dump like many of the altcoins today, there was no selfish motive that fueled its design, and its the original idea that sparked, what hopefully in a few years we'll be describing as a revolution.
