Well the main reason why I’d like to earn merit is because I have to wait 360 seconds just to reply + post a topic. Kind of annoying, and the only way to fix that from what I’ve read is to earn more merit. Thank you for replying to this though, gives me a bit more understanding and one more question, to search up a question, do I have to click on the topic that’s for the question that I am looking for? Or am I able to just search it up?

But how fast are you to read through the post and want to reply within a few restricted seconds? Or is it about creating new threads just like you did after creating this one?

Any way, with a copper member, your waiting time will be reduced, and it's almost or even equal to a member rank by some limit, if I'm correct. Just so you know, being a Copper member does not give you immunity from getting banned if you violate any of the forum rules, and the money paid is not refundable.

Just for typing this comment, you dropped another thread on the Altcoin discussion.

I’m not aware of what the rules are, like I said, I’m new. I didn’t know that creating a bunch of threads could get me banned? (if that’s what you were trying to tell me) I am just trying to have a few conversations going in stuff that I’m interested in, which is why I’ve created multiple threads. I’m sure when you first joined this site, you were curious on how stuff works, just as I am, but I’ll be sure to check out the rules, guess that’s what I should’ve done in the first place. And just so you know, I’m not just here for Merit, I don’t even know what its for, I was just trying to gain knowledge on how people have so much and how it works/how to gain it.

Hello, new bitcointalk user, been around on this site for around a year or so, just never decided to create an account. I’ve seen people with tons of merit! But yet I have not a single clue on how to gain any, whilst people have thousands! Pretty much a newbie when it comes to posting Tongue. But any help works, thank y’all!
Welcome to the forum. Merits are like the reward you get for contributing meaningfully to the forum. Members will give merits to your post if they find it helpful or if it assists them in certain ways. Quality posts that answer questions, ask relevant question, and is creative or innovative will always attract merits. For now, your focus shouldn't be on how to earn merits because you have not learned much about Bitcoin and the forum. If your knowledge about Bitcoin and the forum increases, I can assure you that you will earn some merits.

Most newbies who focus first on earning merit become discouraged if they don't get it and it could be frustrating which could lead to leaving the forum. So if you want to enjoy the forum, give more attention to learning and less to merit and you will gradually gain them because of your positive contribution to the forum..

What I will say to you is that you are welcome to the Bitcointalk forum. Although you are a newbie to the forum, similar topics of this nature have been discussed several times in this forum, where you will see newbies are just after the merit or the rank, not maintaining the space of learning. As someone who is new to the forum, I didn’t expect you to start by asking how to get merit but to ask for help or questions about how you will be a beneficiary Bitcointalker.

Some people came here to achieve knowledge, some came for the money in signature campaigns, and some came to share their experience with others, so if you are new to a place, you should first of all learn what it is all about before thinking about achieving what others have. From your post, you said you have known about the sites for around a year now but don’t have any active accounts, so I will share some links with you, though you didn’t request for them, but I see they will be very helpful for your stay here in Bitcointalk, and I will also encourage you to engage in reading and research.

If you look at those people that has this tons of merit you will find another thing close to it as activity which means they have been doing some activities that resulted to merits.

If you want to be like them you need to go here https://learnmeabitcoin.com/ and read all about Bitcoin written in there and whatever you don't understand you can come back to the forum and use search button and find the thread that has the answers but if it's complicated to you can always ask questions. Go try it out buddy!

Best regards

By stopping to ask questions like this and doing more reading first in the forum, and also not forgetting to make use of the forum search button, which can help you locate similar threads and the advice given to those who asked such questions,.

If you can be productive, ask helpful questions, provide valid solutions and answers to questions, and think less about how to earn merit, you will receive merit as a reward for your good work. It's as simple as that.

At first, it seems very hard to earn, but if you look deep down and understand how things work, think a little less about how to earn those merits, and just be yourself, you can even earn the merit in a post that you might least be expecting it from.
