I am thinking our coin will offer scholarships for kids getting out of highschool too So not only reach out to college students as a way to earn extra income for books and such but prospective college students as a means of getting into college

Where does this cash come from - you are premining? You are taxing?

No I was directed to devcoins article about coin copying and I found out devcoin already has the structure I am talking about

some recent coins like DOGeCoin they can easily spread wallet stealing trojans/miner viruses to early miners with big #numbers/ wannabe early adapters.

What is the basis for this? When has this ever happened with a coin? You do know what 'open-source' means, right?

1) Download Bitcoin source code
2) Replace every instance of "Bitcoin" with the name of your shitcoin
3) Compile source, optionally add a trojan to steal people's Bitcoin wallets
4) Premine at least 10% of your shitcoin's total
5) Release on Bitcointalk
6) Shill like crazy under multiple accounts
Why bother pre-mining? Much cheaper to include a tax, just have every created block send 90% to your address and skip that mining nonsense.

How would that work?

x% of the mining reward goes to the developers.

How does that work? Is that just already in there as a choice when you clone a coin?

There are already altcoins, which have this "feature". It's just part of the protocol.

I've been looking into it trying to figure it out it looks like devcoin does it
