Well, they need to establish a good relationship with the forum users if they want to attract any players on this forum. There is no free meal. Sometimes even that's not going to be enough.

1xBit tried to bribe/pay high sig camp payments to the forum users but they are still not liked here. So money isn't everything.

They need to be honest, do some promotions, maybe a signature camp and the rest will come easily. Of course they are not going to be successful around here if don't know anything about them no matter how good they are on other forums/communities.

Based on the replies above, it looks like most members will judge the trustworthiness of a sportsbook or a casino based on what they read here on this forum or on other reliable review websites (meaning they rely on other users reviews).
But what if the sportsbook/casino doesn't have an announcement thread or an account on bitcointalk and it is still new and there are no reviews about it or any mention of it anywhere online?
I believe in such case we will have to follow a different approach  and rely on other criteria to determine if the sportsbook can be trusted or not. Any ideas?

first of all a site should have a license. if it possible I take a look about "privacy" and "about us" or other text (just be sure they have inserted useful information and it's not a mere copy paste from other platform).
I made a research online to verify and read scam accusations (I know that most of the site have some accusations but it's interesting understand why people are complaining).
Last but not least, I have a look on their topic in bitcointalk. If they have any promotion active or any kind of marketing.

It's easy to find a good and bad sportsbook, you can always check the profile of their bitcointalk account, if they have plenty of positive feedback, they are considered a good sportsbook, and if they have bad feedback, that means they are the worst, simple as that.

We are in this forum, the easiest way to check their reputation is through their profile feedback.

Credibility, license, security, and feedback from its users are the things that I usually check to see if a sportsbook is legit and trusted. Their trust rate has a huge point because it signifies their reputation. Experienced gamblers here will testify if a sportsbook is trusted and there are honestly lots of it that you could find on this forum.

Usually, I look at sportsbooks track record of allegations, how they respond and address problems or accusations by users in this forum. Yes, I'm not shy over not-so-clean-of-record sportsbooks and I think it's unrealistic for a sportsbook to not have any bad allegations. From those standpoints, I can see and understand how they conduct business. If problems arises, are they going to try to buy my silence, or be willing to address it, working out the problems.

there's nothing wrong with trying a new sportsbook, just to find the gaming experience elsewhere. only use small money to try it. I often try new sportsbooks, especially the ones advertised on forums. not to chase bonuses, just want to find the most comfortable place to play to spend money.
if we look in the forums, there are several sportsbooks that we can use. Seeing reputation in forums and reviews from other members will certainly be easier. I don't play sports books anywhere else except the ones on the forums. although many websites accept fiat for us to bet on.

I search their thread here and make a research. What the users say about it, what problems this sportbook have and how their support work with it. How long it works - for me it is better to use an old sportbook with good reputation then to choose new one with better bonuses.
PS. The fast way is to google "site name + scam/cheaters/problem" and analyze the links.

I first of all do a detail check of the deposit and withdraw page and then go for reviews about them both on forums and social media. I also check the licence but in some case I have read that fake licence are also being posted. This forum has a dedicated board for all gambling sites so if that sportsbook has a thread here then I would check it too. 

One thing you have to consider is to look it in this forum if the sportsbook have some crypto related to know if it has a potential to be a good casino in the future. And yes, a little bit of common sense when doing some research and I think you would notice it just like how the review can be paid to release a fake reviews.

You just have to be very observant and learn what are the common red flags of the other scam casino as well as the green flags of a reputable casino. Then you can do the math after that.

Reviews could really be faked thats why its really hard to trust up any sites which arent known into this forum thats why whenever i do see something new  then the primary place i do check on is into this forum.

If i cant find it then its better to avoid it so that you wont really be having no problems or would be having some headache just because you had dealt with a scam sportsbook or casino.

It does really need up some common sense most of the time and a little bit effort on making out some research.

People can be paid for review, like I or anyone can be paid to give fake review about a site, even scam sites do have good reviews for victims to be able to get convinced. I too can not trust reviews. If you search 1xbit reviews on the google search, you will see most articles talking about them is a good casino and doesn't scam.

But the truth they're scam, since you can easily found many accusations related to this casino until now.

The bad part when it comes to some of the best sportsbooks are their lack of promotions and withdrawal speed, most sportsbook usually takes a minute or two to send out your withdrawal but I still can't forget a couple of sportsbooks that usually takes a few hours before they'd approve your withdrawal. 

Stake is a good gambling site, I haven't tried their sport betting because I do not like to bet on national leagues but prefer top club leagues which we have just finish. On stake, the blackjack and roulette are very good and you can see how the site is very transparent and showing customers that they are not manipulating, it is a good betting site to go for.

Actually you should use your own strategy on this, don’t follow anyone on the gambling. Because gambling is the unique game. It need use many strategies on it, sometimes your strategy will fail. But you should not worry about the past. Because you can win any amount of money you had loss in the gambling with the new strategy and it doesn’t consider as a loss in gambling.

The simplest way? is that I only plays on those site that has good reputations here in forum and this is why I never experience anything bad from my years of playing either from sportsbook or from regular casinos, though most of my sites are having those both .
and also what makes me safer? is that I only deposit small amount per time so I will never become a big loser if ever the site turns scamming in long time .

Let's say that today I want a gambling site, I enter google search for "gambling sites" and then I read each review of each site, then I select some sites based on the advantages. then comes the investigation phase which consists of investigating each site in detail, then I come to the forum and continue with the investigation, one that here on the forum I see that the site has a good reputation, I did not find any accusations of scam, so I I create an account on the site I chose. It is necessary to note that before choosing the site I have more or less idea of what kind of resources I want on the site and for this reason I will search on google first before searching on the forum, that's because here on the forum there are many threads so it stays hard to see all threads. But for a newbie in the crypto world I recommend starting the search here on the forum

definitely stake.com is my favorite, I'm not talking because I'm in their campaign, I say this because I place bets on the site and I've used other sites and I realize this big difference, at stake.com there are many games a day to bet and it's easy to move the site while on other sites there are few games and there's a designer that doesn't make it easy for me

To trust new online sportsbook for my opinion, I need to do a research or let say, I need to know the sportsbook first, and more important thing is that how they manage every gamblers. The reviews of every gamblers is very important because if they have good feedback  from that casino then for sure that many gamblers catch the attention of that newest sportsbook and play with them.
