I think there is no need to have a vast research in finding the legit gambling website. Just go through the forum gambling section you can easily understand which gambling websites are legitimate in the service provided. Personally I believe most of the gambling websites accepting bitcoin looks legit.

Actually, i am not searching about any gambling sites, Because i see a lot of gambling sites are here in signature campaigns, and these all are good for playing gambling, and i see everyone are trust on them. So why i need to search and waste time? Even i have not hear any wrong or scam about gambling sites. Only i see the gambling sites name and start to bet.
It is true some of legit gambling sites runs signature campaigns to advertise fast their site to gain players who will be promote soon when they won profit there. Players are anywhere so maybe you're the one who will not waste time for searching for the feedbacks and reputation about the website. All you want is to play and just earn from it.

I wonder how you do your research if a gambling site is scam or not?
The easiest way, if you are referring to a bitcoin casino is to come to bitcointalk and see th reviews and the comments on their thread and see if they have any scam accusations where there is actual proof that something shady happen and not ridiculous threads like, ‘I lost all my money so it must be a scam’

Yes, bitcointalk is a good resource to track down casino's record. By reading other users experiences we will easily knowing whether a casino is trustworthy or not. And this forum has a trust system too, so we can easily providing an assessment towards a casino.

I wonder how you do your research if a gambling site is scam or not?

You check here is it legit or not, is there any scam accusations against that casino, and what kind of accusation, most of them are wrong to be clear on that, many people wish to scam casino, or some people are paid to ruin casino reputation. You check reviews, and their thread, and in the end you need to deposit some amount and to see what will happen, can you withdraw if you win, check site and do they have support, talk with them, thats how you check some gambling site.
Gambling sites that are on scam accusations sometimes are not accurate and you do have a point some of them are just posting some accusation without any valid proofs just to ruin sites reputation but checking this board would really help you a lot when you are searching for a certain gambling site.If its not listed there then it might be good but better always take precautionary moves before depositing your hard earned money to them.

Yes this forum is so helpful in order to find any reviews about gambling sites or anything related to bitcoin, but we need to read all the available reviews because there are many fake reviews to make the site looks good to play.
Yeah this forum and especially to the members they informing us if they found some scammers and some scam gambling website.
So be alert all the time.
Generally, I've followed this forum and become updated crypto currency news as well as develop knowledge gambling site also. Unless someone invests in it could hard to decide a site is legit or scam? Pretty hard job but a way to know if a site is going to scam is either to have years of experience from the industry may help.

If you get into a gambling site then you played inside their world and while you play and gamble then you won in the games many times, in times that you like to withdraw your winning amount and your bankroll balance was become zero and never received in your wallet, well that's what you called you've been scammed by the gambling site.
I agree with you, but you talk when you get scammed. But the OP said that how can we know that a gambling site is scam, I mean before the scam you should know.
Anyways, Based in my experience, we can know it, first by some research in google.
I mean feedbacks about this site, if there is feedbacks you can open this site and try to find the founder of this site by facebook or twitter or anything else, to verfiy.

I usually check this review website I like and if they have a review for it than I read it and check the scores.

If the casino seems good and trustworthy I visit them, that way I get to know about the website and their honesty, the review website gains affiliate, casino gets a gambler. Everyone wins.

When you invest in a casino there is no way to find out whether real players won big or not and I think that is why most of the gambling services are not that much successful when it comes to investment rate.
On topic, if a newbie announces an online casino it is most likely scam attempt.
If an online casino doesn't have any signature campaign in this forum=not being serious about their business and most likely scam attempt.

Provably fair is only provable to people with enough math knowledge not provable to everyone, so that is not something I'd look for as legitimacy indication.

These message boards are a good place to research to see if any Bitcoin site is a scam. There's no way to know for sure, but you can at least look for existing topics for a particular site to see if there are any red flags.

Scammers are stupid and be don't be like them by not letting them to scam you. Well we don't have the advantage they have, they are in control of the system. We are just players or investors trying to make profits. So we have nothing to do once they run our money.

Truth to be told - if a scam is designed well it will be very hard to spot. I have example here - 999Dice.
This site is operational since 2013, and people are asking every week whether they are scam or not.
Are you able to tell at first glance how they are cheating their customers?
There are gambling sites that already been here for how many years and as you talked about 999dice they come to a point where they already have scam accusations thats why its not really guarantee that all sites are legit forever. It does depend if they are profiting or not because a site would commit scam attempts or issues is usually do have problem with their bankroll/profits.We should really be aware as always.
No site will exist forever and even good site does not guarantees us that they will remain trust worthy, the thing we are not protected here as a gambler and as an investor. I have not read any guidelines that protects us, we are all anonymous and only trust is the main thing that bridges us.
For new site, they have to build reputation here and it will take time, and those who are planning to scam gamblers will be having a hard time because information now is easy to find.
Yeah, especially when the temptation is really hard to ignore. Casinos hold really a huge amount of bitcoins they do not own. Casinos hold bitcoins from investors and the deposits of gamblers. If bitcoin prices suddenly pumped to $10,000 a piece, I don't think all the casinos will be able to resist the temptation of not running away with the bitcoins stored in their site.

And this is why I'm gradually divesting my funds from all the casinos I have investments in, so my investments stay the same in USD value. It's really hard to entrust millions of dollars worth of coins to someone anonymous on the Internet, even if they have years of good history behind them. This really hurts development of blockchain economy, and it will require governments to change their position on cryptocurrencies in order to make any changes, because now it seems to be nearly impossible to do any business with cryptocurrencies and not be anonymous.

That is the price we pay for making anonymity as a main selling point of crypto. When the time comes that they run away with the money they are no where to be found. They are just usernames on the interenet and nothing else. That is the inherent problem with our system and we have to live with it. We just have to have faith in these anonymous persons that they will not run with our money.
