Selling at 10% loss is a panic move for me. Back when I was still trying to trade alts, there is this coin that I made the most out of other alts. Because I made good money out of it, I bought tons of it. What I don't know is that it's on a pump and oh my I bought near the top. An hour later I saw that it's crashing and so I sold all of it, 25% loss, then never looked back in that coin ever again.

Oh, it is the little devil Blakcoin I'm talking about.

Whether its bitcoin trading or altcoin trading, there is bound to come a time when your investment is getting dumped badly, and its panic time.
How do you panic? Does that really make you panic and do you take decisions that you actually regretted later? Or do you keep calm and HODL?
What makes you panic and how do you react to it?

I don't really panic because I trade for the long term, so I just hold strong coins as an investment. If I was for the short trades, then I don't think I would panic as well, because I would just follow my exit strategy. You need to have one when you trade, so you don't panic, and keep everything according to plan.

You should research before investing. A good coin to crowdfund would be InvexCoin  Wink

I have lost money when I panicked during trades. So I have stopped trading as well as panicking. To be honest I can't control my emotions while trading the money. I use to put more stakes to get my investment back but it never happened with me. Whatever I got while panicking was loss and loss. I tried to keep it calm but I was impatient always so I better left it before I can get bankrupt.

This usually happens when you got panicked. You made decisions without even thinking what will be the consequences of your action.
Everyone gets panic of course coz' we're human ( unless you're not Grin ) it's all natural to us.
Well atleast to you @sirfrowsiter, I think you've learned your mistakes through your experience. Never get panic. Stay calm as long as you can stay calm. Then think what's the best thing to do next.

I go on panic when I heard that bitcoin will collapse the price. Many bitcoiners will be affected if this happen. But most of bitcoiners may panic they will sold their bitcoin before price down. But the big timers of bitcoin maybe they will hold it then wait for the surprise of bitcoin high price.
The most panic is the person who most open business by using 100% bitcoin as his business, then the price of bitcoin collaps. This has no effect on the person who holds little bitcoin.  Grin

you need experience, if you will have good experience in trading then you will not sell your bitcoin in panic. you should continue trading because you can only get experience inf you have will spend time in trading altcoin, you need to invest a little amount of money in very beginning and when you get good experience then you should try to invest more money.
Yeah, I can say experienced is the best teacher. You can learn a lot in your experienced. You need to study all the aspects of the trading and you will become a good trader.
yes and think experience can only be get through trial and error, for example if you want to become a good trader and get some experience, then you need to do trading but will small amount even if you lose that amount of money so that it may not have worst effect on you. and only through this way you can get experience.

In my opinion, altcoin or bitcoin investment will not suffer 100% loss unless you invest in waste coin. It became my rationale for staying calm in holding an altcoin. I've also experienced a panic, my strategy for that I sell the coin I invested when it dropped around 30-40% and I bought it again at the cheapest price. that way I get 2-fold profit when the price back stable And at least you get your capital back.

First time i want to say we should not panic when something is going bad .
I trade a lot but when a coin or a token is going down  , i keep my calm and keep that coin , for example btc price was 2700 usd and went back to 2200 , i was thinking that is going more less than 2200 and i could get a worst proft
I kept my calm and the btc went back to 2800 so i am happy

So finally dont worry be happy Smiley !
I don't think a lot of people worry too much about the bitcoin price if they're already actively trading bitcoin for altcoins. But of course the vast majority of people who have bitcoin can panic when the price of bitcoin drops a couple 100 dollars.

Example the price can't comeback $2800 and continue down to $1500, do you have calm to still hold it and waiting? In market everything is possible and you need have a stop loss point before starting trading, it can help you make small loss and high profit

Yes, when I first started trading I often do panic selling and it makes me regret in the next. At that point the price dropped around 10% and many people said prices would continue to fall and I panic for fear of losing more so I sell it, but the price went up several times. It makes me regret for doing panic selling. But that is a lesson for me and now I never do panic selling and always have a trade target.

For me i am not panic easily i just monitor the background and what actually the cause of the price dump..
Because there are still possibility that this altcoin can be increase more after the dump happen and if you sell it you will be lose so better to hold them and monitor if it still in good condition just hold but if you seen a bad news about the coin better to sell ..

When I was a beginner I tend to panic when the price is falling down eventhough it's only a little and I often do panic sell, and after few moments the price going up again, from that experience I learned that we need to be patience in trading and it is safer to trade famous alt coin so the price can bounce back and I can evade panic sell

Panicking when you reach around 800% profit, then it goes to 650%, then 700%, and you sell at 600% when you see it reach 500% afterwhile and take a break before investing back again when you see a calmer market.

Yes, you'll get panic when this happens to you.
Getting panicked won't help you in deciding things. You can't think right and your emotions took over you.
Yes better to take a break and pick up your thoughts.
Well as for me, when I feel that there's something wrong, before I get panic I'll calm myself before anything else.
