How do you research altcoins to invest in? I'm talking about legit/long term investing in projects that have real potential to become something that creates value.

How do you find the coins you're looking for?

What are your go to tools?
There are some tips to find a good altcoins or other cryptocurrencies to invest in. Firstly, I offer you to seek the information about the founder or co-founders of a coin accurately. Because if you know about founder, you will probably identify how trustworthiness that he brings to his coin. For example: with ethereum coin, you might know the founder is Vitalik Buletin, was borned in Russia in 1994, used to be a co-founder of Bitcoin magazine, had got some international bronze medal in IT field, and that sort of information. Next, you should ask yourself that why this coin was created, what its purpose is. In addition, you need to take a look at that coin showed in the roadmap. Finally, leading your eye on its value, capital and trading volume of market. In short, almost altcoins show its huge potential, it would be a great incentive for you to take investing. Good luck!

In google you'll find different websites which will help you to do research on altcoins and you can compare among them as well. Github is also good for this.

Nowadays to find and research altcoin is not easy to do and very difficult to predict, then the best thing to do is to analyze the chart well, white paper and road map maybe we will find a good project in a short time.

you can look for potential long-term project references on the GITHUB website. it's a great site. but besides that you also have to learn more about crypto. analysis of how the project works, the prospect offered for the future, and the team within it. all that can help you to determine a project worth investing in. good luck to invest.

Now if we want to look for alt that has greater potential and real, then look for alt that already has a product that has been run and also very well by the development team is useful or favorite by everyone, because when the market cap and trading volume is also very affecting alt to continue growing in the future.

You should invest in an ICO that makes sense as a project and that actually has a demand in the market. The business or app behind the token must be closely integrated with the currency such that one cannot work without the other. .
Actually it is hard to find a campaign of an ICO that we could make sure has a good project that truly has make sense. This could not be predicted as per looking at the market of the ICO so all I can say if you're looking for a good ICO you should be a researcher whrn it comes to your prospective ICO and study the procedures of the coins.

First thing I look into ICO is the project or product itself. Is that product useful or will it be a trend someday or does it have so many competitor. The team is also important and reviews in top crypto currency review sites.

It is the right thing to do and also to consider how will the market and the coin may look after couple of year. What will be the scenario and how will this coin perform in the coming time. If it is a unique concept which may not pick up now but in future it will so one should be investing in it.

I search over internet and look for the coins. The things I take care of while choosing are their projects, future, growth etc. Then I decide which is worth enough to invest.

With that information to be collected I am just using this forum to ask questions regarding what I am confused about and by that I can get the views and opinions of everybody and collect ideas from them which I will use to gain knowledge about crypto.

This is a hard task for  novices and newbies in the cryptocurrency world. What I do is to check them on online platform like coinschedule and some other ones to see their trust scores before having anything to do with them.
I sometimes read the roadmaps and whitepapers to know the aims and plans of the projects.

Well, I think if you are going to choose a good alts first thing you need to consider is on the people involve. Next is who are the partners of the project and last would be the road map with its transparency. The more transparent the project is the more the more it would be successful.

The product from the coin project is a good first place to look.  Masternodes are a big deal right now because the stabilize markets by providing incentive for holding some quantity of coins.  The problem is that many masternodes can be too expensive to take a full master node position.  The latest product that I've seen aiming to make masternode positions more attainable are "shared masternodes".  Shared masternodes enable people to gain masternode rewards even if it's just a portion.  It also further meets the intended purpose of masternodes in the first place by attracting people to hold some portion of the coin asset for longer periods of time and to further support these crypto coins.  MANO is one example of a coin that will support a shared masternode platform.

So that's one example of a product.  Another thing to consider is who is on the team.  Basic Attention Token has some of the top Java devs there so you would imagine that they have credibility.

This is a full explanation on how to consider a coin a best project that you can join with, always searching for it cause and effect, the foundation of the project, the team behind the project and their product , it is almost like that , in my part , I research for some positive feed backs of a specific ICO or coin to start with my conclusions and to gain profits from it.

Aside from your friends you should also make a move to search which altcoins good for investing. Usually I find here in the ann thread for a good project, read a lot all information that is whitepaper and roadmap. It makes helps for us to decide if good altcoins to invest.

Altcoin research is not a easy job because current situation is really unpredictable so better we should analyse the chart,  white paper and road map of the project we will get the good projects in quick time.
But we don't ask for the some other suggestions then only we will pick the right platform.

Yes I agree...its not easy to research Altcoin we should understand and learn of it.  Altcoin are the alternative cryptocurrencies launched after the success of bitcoin so they protect themselves  as better substitutes to bitcoin.
