In the next 5-8 years, this industry may evolve a lot and there will be some foundations and benchmarks, but for now, all these blockchain games are not much different from each other, as they all depreciate equally fast over time and quickly lose interest among players.

couldn't agree more with this, if things in blockchain gaming industry got a lot simplified i'm sure it could be more success unfortunately the current implementation of the games was rather done really badly, starting from complicated guides and low quality games, I think in the future if many blockchain game developers instead focused in these things, this blockchain gaming industry will be big and isn't just become a niche like it is now.

People tend to gravitate more towards things that they are more familiar and comfortable with. Blockchain gaming has been around for years and some big projects just slowly died out and the conventional games that we have for years are still going strong. People still don't understand the concept and doesn't care much security and immutability, but rather on other things such as availability and simplicity of the games that they want to play. It needs to develop even further to the point that it is dumbed down and people understand it fully to take a chance on it.

Due to competition between various projects, I think blockchain will have an outstanding future. It could be integrated on many other aspects of our lives. I believe that there will be a good amount of adaption in that timeframe. More adaption equals bigger market right? If there are many investments into it, it means that it is doing really good. For now it's hard to think of any token that can replace bitcoin, so I think btc will sill remain as the king in the future.

We do keep on progressing or developing specially into something which does have huge interest or demand by people. Blockchain gaming did really get some interest and support wayback

Yes, it can be said that the combination of blockchain and games is a great creative point. We know that the gaming industry is growing very strongly and with the combination of blockchain, it can both create entertainment for players and help them earn income. But it's a pity that p2e projects can't bring any real entertainment experience because most of p2e projects only focus on making money but lose the entertainment in the game. Metaverse platform already have this and most of the games now have their own NFTs just like with Axie Infinity.
I see most of the games now are still struggling from the bear market, some are still down and didn’t have any update yet. Though some games are already working with Web3 as well which is a good improvements. The future is still good only if they continue to exist in this market and if they continue to develop. Not all games today will last longer, they must continue to adopt and innovate.

Metaverse is just a word, the reality in the minds of people are much different. A world where you can live instead of real life will not happen for many decades, it is not a technology for today. Yes the technology world grows fast, but not all the time, look at the VR world for example, it has been around for a decade and it is still not something we have in our houses for all of us, some do but not all.

This is why I believe that we are not going to live the metaverse everyone imagines anytime soon, that ready player one type of world would probably only happen after a lot of years and so far any project that promotes a new world would always end up with a problem for sure.

There has to be an innovation that creates a self-sustaining economy.

The present economies of these games have infinite people from poor countries draining out of the ecosystem. That isn't sustainable. That's just a refactored ponzi scheme.

I imagine with the amount of money on the line here, solutions will invent themselves in the free market. I don't personally think they exist presently though. My best guess is that people need to make the blockchain part more important and less forced in order for it to work correctly.
