It can be stated objectively that up until now there has not been a successful playtoearn project, including Axie Infinity, since the purpose of all these projects is to make money, not to create a real and meaningful game. So once it leads to a recession, people will run away and say it's dead.

If blockchain companies as well as traditional game companies really come together and make a real game then I think things will be different. The game industry never goes out of style, its potential is huge, I guess the big boys in the industry will not ignore it. It will be back soon with a newer look.

What blockchain gaming, OP? Is this part of the NFT games?

So far, if there's an NFT involved in their game it's all rigged if there are players who likes to waste their money in order to gain full control of the resources inside the game. Since resources could be converted into real money if they get them all on their own.

But, seriously, what kind of game do you want or expect that developers would make while interacting with the blockchain technology?

In my opinion, the blockchain technology adopted for certain utilities will probably have a higher chance to grow up and always continue. However if this is related to gaming. We know that many people love gaming, when they can play any game and moreover earn money at once, they will be more interested right? However most of the games are skill-based games. Although they don't win the games, they don't lose their money, because that is not gambling.
So, I personally believe that the game with blockchain technology is capable to developa ndc ontue in the future.

I guess so. I'm imagining some big companies sponsoring tournaments where best teams from all over the world compete over a game on the blockchain. I think Axie had plans like this before but I'm no longer sure if that's the case now. I'm quite confident we'll have something similar to Dota 2 or something similar.

I see no big future for blockchain gaming. People are oversaturated with current games. Regular gaming industry does not keep up with the wishes of the players. Devs spend millions and years creating gaming. Gamers spend weeks and months and switch for other project. Blockchain gaming is something long lasting imho. Gamers are like gamblers, they need everything now or yesterday. They want to play and have fun, but not struggle doing calculations of tokens, trades, value and etc, and learning what is blockchain and etc. Even now, metaverse - game involved innovation, is not very demanded. We see lots of projects, but I dont see any real and deep interest in them.

We know people do really love transparency on a game and no other that that technology will do. Because the result of the game in blockchain data is publicly seen by anyone so no one will cheat in that way.

We've already their NFTs gameplay which is made a hype this year.
The play-to-earn games, and the looting process that can be traded on the marketplace that makes players earn money, and anymore, these are only examples that we're on a good step toward innovation.
