I have recently been into altcoin trading. I just want to know, does the price of bitcoin affect the price of other cryptocurrencies as well? How? I really want to know. I have noticed that ever since the bitcoin price pumped up and reached 4,000 USD, the price of the altcoins had gone really really low. I almost lost my invesment due to this sudden drop. Does bitcoin price have something to do with this?
i dont know but i think its not all about btc because its all about whales in market and if whales invest a lot of money in bitcoin we will see the dump of altcoins but i dont know why altcoins or crypto is still dumping sure that because of manipulation.

Actually i also want to ask that to everyone that is in to trading. Because everytime bitcoin is going down, there is a red sea on my altcoins and it is really devastating. Although i don't know if bitcoin really affects bigtime to other crypto because when it rises, other coins are still down. Altcoins will still depend on their trading markets and i think that if other traders see that bitcoin is going down, they also sell altcoins that's why everything is down.

Yes, it can affect other cryptos because all of them are belong to the same currency I mean all of them are crypto currency So, if one fall down its impact automatically fall on others.

Bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency and a standard-bearer, so the general market will tend to follow its movements. Perhaps in the future when the market matures altcoins will move independently of bitcoin, but for the time being bitcoin is king as the most recognizable cryptocurrency.

Yes, bitcoin price influenced the price or value of other cryptocurrencies. When bitcoin price changes the rest of the altcoins will definitely follow whichever direction. Seems all cryptocurrencies was driven by bitcoin price as per observation of the market value. So, bitcoin has a very big effect to all alternative coins.

in my opinion, from what I know, if bitcoin has decreased or increased all crypto currencies, it has also undergone a change, maybe it can also be said bitcoin can affect the development of other crypto currencies

At present prices of bitcoin are too high compared to other altcoin coin. So when it goes down, it almost pulls the whole market down with it.
The price of Bitcoin remains the driving force of the cryto currency, rising and falling will affect other altcoins. So when a trader will trade, the most important thing is to pay attention and analyze the price of bitcoin, especially negative issues / positive issues or sentiments that can affect crypto prices as a whole.

Bitcoin effects will always affect other altcoins. Traders know about this so they cannot leave the analysis of bitcoin in altcoin trading.

The manner in which I see it is that all through harvest time, bitcoin cost won't rise too quick since it has effectively set new records, and it will require some an opportunity to settle. What's more, likely that is the ideal opportunity for some altcoins to go higher.

From all I have observed that bitcoin is the driving of all the alternative coins. If the price of bitcoin raises in the coinmarketcap it will directly affect the price of all other coins.

Most coins are paired on exchange sites to Bitcoin and as such, in any event when Bitcoin is down, the pairing affect the price of coins paired to it at that moment unless the buyers and sellers on the exchanges correct their buy and sell orders to suit the required dollar price.

I strongly believe that bitcoin influences the market prices in such a way that when  bitcoin price increases,  the market prices increases. When it decreases,  the market prices also decrease.

Bitcoin is always a great coin from the beginning. And the other coins follow the bitcoin. So always there's a affect on altcoin because of bitcoin's price. Bitcoin's price up and down affects on altcoin's price.

It will affect bcos most people invested in other crypto bcos they know bitcoin first and they knew that whenever other crypto is affect they equally back to bitcoin. So when bitcoin is down they quickly withdraw back to bitcoin for them to ba able to recover their fund. As such it will be killing others.

I think that altcoins are fully dependent on bitcoin because they are based on it and the fees are carried out on it)))

It is not wrong to think that Bitcoin's price increase can also carry out the price increase in altcoins, but you have to consider too some of the instances that triggers the increase of altcoin's prices. The law of supply and demand still can affect each individual altcoin's prices. Also there are factors like good development in the project, more exposure and adaptation of the coin, new features of the coin and etc. When Bitcoin's price increase and all of the altcoins increase then it is an indication of a bullish market which is a healthy situation. There are times when Bitcoin's price is constant but the altcoins are moving up. Sometimes Bitcoin's price goes up but would left the altcoins hanging down.

Yes it is happened because bitcoin may affect the price of other cryptocurrencies because the asset uses bitcoin as the main currency. So altcoin always follows bitcoin. When the bitcoin price is low the altcoin price is low and than when the bitcoin price high, the altcoin ptice is also high.

Many think that way, but the fact is that this kind of correlation is not always the case. There are times when bitcoin prices rise and some altcoins actually decline.
Generally, the main currency in the crypto market is Bitcoin. Although fiat, Ethereum, and Tether currencies are also often used, Bitcoin is still the main currency. In other words, Altcoins tend to be used to fund Bitcoin running, and Bitcoin tends to fund Alt operations. With this relationship, the movement of Bitcoin prices tends to have an effect on the price of Altcoins.
In conclusion, Bitcoin is the economic center of all crypto currency markets. Because the BTC trading partner is on every exchange, the influence of Bitcoin on Altcoins will always be there. So, the correlation is only centered when people start taking profits or cutting losses in Bitcoin, by choosing Altcoins or Fiat (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.) when certain conditions, and vice versa.

Bitcoin in my opinion strongly influenced at the initial stage of the cryptocurrency market. Now we notice that there are promising young coins, which go up in the fall of bitcoin. Investors have stopped investing a lot in bitcoin. therefore, the dependence on it goes away.

However, Altcoin always follows Bitcoin, and that is the important thing that is in mind. knowing that you can get out of your altcoin investment and then invest again after the bottom is reached in the altcoin.

Since bitcoin was popular and many people know and use that other crypto was doing step to most enhance their crypto and they compete each other and everytime bitcoin price increase most of all altcoin will decrease because most of all altcoin price following, when the bitcoin price come back into the normal price or going down, the altcoin price will go up again.

Bitcoin May affect the price of other cryptocurrencies because the asset uses bitcoin as the main currency, and with that when bitcoin prices go up, investors automatically sell cryptocurrency to buy bitcoins and make other cryptocurrency prices down.
but if investors remain compact and do not sell cryptocurrency, the price of cryptocurrency automatically rises with bitcoin
