I think of course this is very influential because bitcoin is the parent of all altcoins, this is just what I think that the price of bitcoin affects the price of altcoins

I have recently been into altcoin trading. I just want to know, does the price of bitcoin affect the price of other cryptocurrencies as well? How? I really want to know. I have noticed that ever since the bitcoin price pumped up and reached 4,000 USD, the price of the altcoins had gone really really low. I almost lost my invesment due to this sudden drop. Does bitcoin price have something to do with this?
When the capital is invested in Bitcoin, there are following cases
1. Bitcoin fell and altcoin fell, investors sold for USD
2. Investors selling bitcoin to buy altcoin make the altcoin add value
3. Altcoin diminishes and pouring into bitcoin will increase its value

Either way, bitcoins are easily manipulated by people who handle large amounts of bitcoin

Most Altcoins are pair to Bitcoin on most exchange platforms. With such pair, an increase or decrease of the price of bitcoin will definitely affect that of the altcoin. Bitcoin is like a standard digital currency to compare altcoins to. A fall in the market price of the standard currency affects all the currencies compared to the standard.

Well my answer is Yes! Bitcoin affect other crypto especially when it goes up its price value most altcoins affects by it. though few of the altcoins maintain its value. Maybe because when USD$ value increase bitcoin also increase then, which means as I observed by it bitcoin is dependent of USD value, But I am not sure for this matter, this is was just my observation. While most of the altcoins also dependent on the bitcoin price but they are opposite to their movements.

I think from the level of valuation and market capitalization, when people see the price of Bitcoin is high, then they will think that other crypto coins will follow, so they buy Altcoin in the hope that the price will be the same as Bitcoin, this is in my opinion...

We can see this opinion as a reason. But the main reason is that most of the coins in the market can't be exchanged directly to USD. Accordingly most altcoins have a Bitcoin calculated price. So first you should buy Bitcoin to getting any token. Thus, the change in the Bitcoin's price causes price changes of altcoins.

BTC really affect other cryptos in such a way that since it was the first coin that was created it has been paired with it so when BTC price goes down those coins too decrease in price on exchange market.

The most cryptocurrencies can be bought only for Bitcoin but not for FIAT, that's why the price of almost every altcoin depends on the price of Bitcoin. I hope in the nearest Future some cryptocurrencies will become more independent from Bitcoin than now.

Previously, the altcoins repeated bitcoin movements in accuracy. Recently, a lot has changed. Bitcoin share has grown. Many cryptocurrencies live their own lives, then increase in price, then fall. Bitcoin at this time remains almost stable.

Well most of all crypto coins is now depending on bitcoin, if bitcoin moves other crypto will also moves. I think bitcoin is there reference. Most of the coin a good example is ethereum. Ethereum deoends on bitcoin as what i've observed.

I feel btc also has a big effect on altcoins, as bluechips shares affect second-tier stocks, where altcoins basically will follow the direction of btc movement because for now most people will exchange their altcoins to be btc if they want to sell it, because I think interest in buying btc higher.

There are moments in the life of the market, when people lose hope in the use of Altcoins and transfer money to Bitcoin, then its price increases, and their price falls.
