bitcoin is the first crypto currency in the world. so bitcoin greatly influences the price movement of all coins in the market. all coins in the market are affected by supply and demand. and the crypto currency is strongly influenced by global economic conditions. so that the impact of these events will affect all crypto currencies.

I have recently been into altcoin trading. I just want to know, does the price of bitcoin affect the price of other cryptocurrencies as well? How? I really want to know. I have noticed that ever since the bitcoin price pumped up and reached 4,000 USD, the price of the altcoins had gone really really low. I almost lost my invesment due to this sudden drop. Does bitcoin price have something to do with this?
it has a effect, bitcoin has the photo to be very large with the altcoins. when the price of the bitcoin incremented, the price of the altcoins will be shrinked because the bitcoin like the currency centre of the global system prefix.

In my opinion, bitcoin affects everything, and that everything is not done is poured into it for storage for a long time.

Bitcoin cam affect other cryptos price, in my observation, last year bitcoin is uptrend then some altcoins price also increases its price just like bitcoin, then when bitcoin drops hard, other coins also drops and it also drop hard at the same time.

Most of the altcoin are using bitcoin to value it with USD, so in the short term, Bitcoin price will greatly affect the price of altcoin!

This is the easiest way to explain why bitcoin affects the other price of cryptos, because bitcoin is the basis of the value of the market and when bitcoin is down all cryptos price are down too.
yes that's why bitcoin is like a dollar for give affect to all altcoin. when all the dollar rises, all prices of goods or whatever will go up and if it goes down then everything will go down. Bitcoin has its own law in the crypto world and is regulated by the market situation

When viewed as bitcoin is a coin that has the most expensive value, that makes the bitcoin price movement on the market can affect crypto prices because most crypto make bitcoin a measure of the selling value of many crypto. including eth, which is now also down, I think because the effects of bitcoin are down and then move the crypto market.

Bitcoin has big effect in alternative coins.
The value of bitcoin in USD will determine the value of tokens in the market with USD.
This is happening for a long time until now.

when the bitcoin value is low usually people who invest in altcoins takes advantage of this to promote their own alternative coins and attract more users to use their altcoin.

bitcoin dominates in various exchanges, almost every exchange has bitcoin. besides, bitcoin is still used as one of the good coins for exchange so I think bitcoin will continue to influence other crypto for exchange transaction media

very simple I think, bitcoin is the only crypto that has very expensive value, and has a large market community. all can imagine, if all those who hold bitcoin sell their bitcoin together in the market, surely what happens is a dump, and that can all have an impact on other crypto because bitcoin has the power to move the market. some crypto also rely on bitcoin as its exchange rate, if bitcoin goes down, surely other crypto will go down, and vice versa.

in a direct or indirect relationship, bitcoin happens the be the final trading pair of all other cryptocurrencies and that is the great part where it has its grips on the crypto space, because if other crypto has to trade the bitcoin pair then what ever happens to the bitcoin price is also reflected in the alternative crypto currency.

Now as I see it, many hid under this date and took a wait-and-see position. On the one hand, and now the price is acceptable for the purchase, so that may have a positive impact on your balance sheet.

most of the cryptocurrencies are directly proportional to the price of bitcoin. when I trade new altcoin one of the first things I looked up on is the previous price if it has a directly proportional to bitcoin price.

Everything is simple, most cryptocurrencies can not get anywhere without bitcoin, it can be clearly seen by the cryptocurrency market itself, when cryptocurrency falls or grows, also half of the new alts use bitcoin technology, so without a bitcoin, cryptocurrency world it would be difficult to exist at the moment.

Looking past the price, my experience is that people who aren't familiar with the area assume that they are one and the same and that other cryptos do actually exist. Bitcoin affects the way people perceive other cryptos too, once they know they are different things

the price of bitcoin affects the price of altcoins because when the price of bitcoin rises, many sell altcoins and buy bitcoin so that the price of bitcoin will continue to rise while the price of altcoins will decrease, but not all altcoins are affected by the price of bitcoin, so I think that depends on investors and the development of the coin

The flow of demand of bitcoin would greatly affect the price of other cryptocurrencies sinc the basis of the prices mostly depends not just on the demand and people using the cryptocurrency but also the base of all the cryptocurrencies would be the real bitcoin which is in todays prices are really high
