I think you're a really lucky guy Wink. Received 6 Merit from the same member in 11 March in few minutes for old posts don't really helpful from Feb. Beside you and creepyjas are being in the same bounty campaign. LOL

Don't know how other people think about this case but I feel it's really shady. Grin. Maybe DT member should take a look at this case

As i post above, this 2 account is from one person. He farms account.
creepyjas (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=959979) is Sr.member and has 250 merit. But he only give away 9 merit? 6 of that to Woterry? His merit status here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=959979
He is not like a person who willing to give away merit to who deserve it. His last post statistic show he always stay in ANN Announcements (Altcoins) board.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/creepyjas-959979

Like I said, feel free to check our IPs. I think a friend meriting high quality posts from a friend is better than buying merits or creating multiple accounts to get one right? Feel free to acuse. I’m not aware that it’s in the rules stating “Helping a friend is not allowed here”.

I agree with you, this is what I said before if everyone do not follow the rule and regulation of giving merit for this forum the merit system are will become useless. Because there are members trying their best way to get merit while the others are not doing fair. And because of that many of our bitcointalk users are experiencing difficulties.

We hope that all members here dot not act as a blind we know tthat you already know this kind event but you choose to be silent. All of us are have the right to estate our ideas and thoughts dont be appraid to tell what are you want to tell.
We Are Hoping this merit system will change because in this forum they have corrupt people.

You should be knowledgeable, skilled, experienced, constructive, helpful enough to earn merits.
For the positive, right approach to get merits, there you go:

I think all of the newbies here will answer “really really hard”...

Let me tell you something. I started joining bitcointalk ever since this new merit system was implemented. So you can probably call me as one of the “lucky” ones starting with zero merits in our pockets. The key is to research well, learn about how the world of crypto works, and learn how the system here works. By then I wasn’t that sure that I have a future here, but here I am now.

My rank is not that high, but let me tell you something. For each time you rank up, you will be so proud of yourself and so excited to get to the next rank. And everything else will follow. With this merit system, you will strive to learn, research, and create quality posts for the benefit of the community. Yes it’s hard to earn merits, but it will mold you to strive for your best.

Instead of crying about how hard the new merit system is for the newbies, why not make it a strength for you to strive. That’s what i did. Good luck newbies, don’t give up. I’m so happy I was able to get this far. I just got ranked up today as a member, but as of now I still call myself a newbie, that’s what strives me to work hard here.

That's true though , instead of keeping on mind how hard or how hindrance earning merit slash ranking up, strive at your best always be motivated. Practice and it's worth it , some of us think merit system is hard , an hindrance to rank up which far from reality , merit shows us to learn and read. And it's not the forum who will benefit , its us, so good luck each and everyone of us.

All the cheering rewards will make people try harder. However, if you are really passionate, your soul will expand and go where you want it without necessarily having the goal of rewards.
So, the best thing now is to learn, share, and contribute the most positive thoughts to the community.
I still believe that someday I will achieve what I desire before joining this community

I personally have no complaints regarding the new merit system, but I can understand what newcomers feel.

The new merit rules just don't feel fair for some people because it was so easy to get ranked up earlier, before this system was introduced. It looks like a missed opportunity (a synonym of Bitcoin for many).

Whatever you say bro but you have to admit that the new system caused much hardships to the new memners
MEMBERS.  You're sloppy.  Your hardships are your own.  Everyone here is swimming in the same water.

For me its very hard to rank up to get merit.. i wish  that i am one of the old member. old member is already a member not hard for them to rank up.now new member like me experience a hard to get a rank.
You're here for the wrong reasons.  And lazy.  And not talented in writing the in language you're trying to write.

Its better not to rank up. Just stay low and directly invest in them
This is a straight-up shitpost that makes no sense at all.

I would appreciate the system only because of its policies. It aims in taking in only the essential publics to the forum
This is another shitpost that makes no sense.  You people are really surprised you're not earning merit or ranking up?

beginners should try harder to climb the rankings. if their goal to join here is money they will not be able to climb the rankings.
That's not true.  You can be here for money and still be talented enough to rank up, earn merit, be trusted, AND earn money.  Most people here aren't going to do any of that because they're either lazy, uneducated, illiterate, unmotivated, or a combination of any of those.

It's so hard to get merit to rank up that I'm sure that I will never reach legendary at this rate. I got like 5 merit from a topic I started which was well written and thought out, which is good I'm not complaining Grin , but to get 50 more merit will literally take forever.

I was also given 25 merit or something from a guy who was running one of those "show me your quality posts and you have a chance to get merit". I didn't ask for it but just said on there that I liked what he was doing because it is so hard to get merit. Like it is basically impossible to rank up legitimately.

As long as this new rules is using i only got 1 merit and it always makes me ask, is it sp hard

But in this policy there are still people cheating
1. There are still selling and buy (a topic that i read few weeks ago)
2. Have so many accounts just to give 1 merit to the primary account.

But i'm very lucky i've have a good rank before this policy appeared.

But sometimes, all our hardwork to quote references, to read upcoming news and gather data in order to help our post to become quality are not appreciated by other people. Sometimes, I am thinking that the system is unfair because some newbies are earning merits without any force they exerted. I always compared myself to them and I think, what I am replying in the thread is more quality than them, but it seems the luck is not in my hand.
I want to earn also merits but I discouraged a lot because there are users here who earned without the hardwork unlike to the people who always make a research just to go in a flow and make a quality post.

What a boost. Thanks for this thread, it was an opener really. I have been "crying" about how hard to gain merits ever since this system took effect. So far, thanks for those who took time to notice my posts and gained at least three merits. I know I still need more to rank up. This made me realize the things I should be doing and should not be doing. Congratulations to your success.  Cheesy  Cheesy  Wink  Wink

The April Fools Joke of Theymos, forum admin, went away several days ago. So please stop overusing Sir like this.
It makes your threads look a bit funny. Something like try kissing asses of higher ranked users to beg for merits.
Actually, they won't give their sMerits away to you due to you simply kissing their asses, instead they will do it for your constructive, high quality threads.
Correct sir,

Your words show your face off, just lying to beg for merits.
Getting a merit from a friend is not bad though but you didn't work hard and do your best to obtain it because he is your friend. The main point i'm trying to implement is getting merit from someone you haven't met or know yet is the best for making the community of crypto world best platform there is.
I don't want to offend you. just my thoughts.

Feel free to investigate. Is it not allowed here to be helped by a friend? And also join campaigns together? I’m just a newbie and my friend has a lot of experience. And FYI, have you read my thread that was merited? Feel free to check our IPs. I’d like to see where your sarcasm leads you to.

Half of your merit is from a friend, that does not count as  merit from

The key is to research well, learn about how the world of crypto works, and learn how the system here works

That is getting around the merit system by asking a friend to give you merits. Your lucky cause you got friend with s-merits. You can't brag you ranked up, you ranked up because a friend donated some merits.
Correct sir, The real on getting ranked up is getting merits from someone you don't really know and that means you did post high quality information that will help all of us not just yourself by doing so you should get merit from it. Getting a merit from a friend is not bad though but you didn't work hard and do your best to obtain it because he is your friend. The main point i'm trying to implement is getting merit from someone you haven't met or know yet is the best for making the community of crypto world best platform there is.
