The technical studies of cryptocurrencies enumerates that not all AltCoins are good for long term holding because they're too highily volatile so, when you choose to venture on long term holding coins, make your research to invest on projects strickly potential to accommodate a good vessel for storage of values.
Then when the value goes Dip, it doesn't fall like it's disappearing totally in the surface of the crypto world just as most of the MemeCoins does.

Better 24 hours for the market with my portfolio now +26%.

Have we found the bottom or are we going lower? Roll Eyes

I bought a bit during the crash prices yesterday and will just hold for now - if we have another crash in the next few days or weeks I will just buy more.

Don't think of it that it's already doom when the market is falling. Bitcoin has recovered a bit after reaching those lower price levels. But if you think that it's already doomed to fail at this moment, you should have sold when your gains are a lot. And when your portfolio recovers, that's the time that you have to decide whether you should sell or not because each decision that we're making right now is going to determine our future through the money that we'll get from our own decisions of selling.

The feeling during altcoins crash is always bad but I like the fact that I don't keep altcoins for long because it's dangerous.

I'm also buying new coins for next year but I know this crash is only for a short time and the market will reverse definitely, since BTC is facing a downtrend all coins a following up but it might be a better opportunity to invest in top coins for.

If you buy deep then hold it, it's only a matter of time if your portfolio recovers. When the market enters dumping it takes some time to pump so you wait for that season. If you invest in altcoins it is a bit risky but there is a possibility of more profit if the coins are pumping well. Because Altcoin are always pumping more volume and investors can reap huge profits from it.

There are many investors who invest in all these ALT coins in addition to investing in Bitcoin. We experienced the great highs earlier in the year and now it is time for some more lows but the ultimate highs will be coming in a few months or so, that is what we have to wait for.

Bitcoin is down though, and so the rest of the altcoin is going to follow and it's hard to see that market crash for many reasons. There are even predicted that Bitcoin might go to $30k'ish before going up on a massive scale so let's wait for that to happen as again it will have a trickle effect to the altcoin market itself. Of course that is the old adage, when there is blood in the market, you should take advantage of it and buy. But there are investors that are afraid on it, and so they just let the market recover before they buy, lol. But in any case, we shouldn't panic when there is altcoin crash, sooner or later it will have to bounce back, there's no way that the market is going to crash for so long in a bull run. Just be strong mentally and continue to accumulate, that's the best strategy in this kind of market.

Exactly Bitcoin is down too. I would be way more concerned if Bitcoin was holding strong and altcoins were crashing for no reason.

Hopefully we do not have much lower to go before we bounce up again but if we do there will be no panic from me.

We are only 6-12 months away from the peak of this 4 year cycle so would be stupid to panic and sell now.

We expect bad news to come, and it won't change bitcoin's direction. But, if someone plans to buy all of MTgox's and the German Government's bitcoins, then it will be good to enter the market. I am not experienced enough to try and trade the market i am just happy to hold and if my portfolio goes below breakeven then so be it.

I am not thinking about the next few months i am thinking in the next 6-12 months when the bull run peak will arrive and Bitcoin and altcoins will be in much better position then so I will just hold what I have and wait for the good times to come back like we saw earlier this year.

The market will recover and when it does altcoins will fly up just as fast as they have dumped lately.

I was here during the 2022 crash and also earlier in the year when we hit all time high in March so know what it’s like when it’s both good and bad

You're right, as long as you're not selling at this point, that loss or small gain that you have will change positively. Many seem to be worried at the current rate of the market but just as you've said, everyone who don't sell and will be patiently wait for the recover will have to see the increase soon. And just as now, Bitcoin goes back to $58k although this isn't something to be celebrate as this is a normal move of it. But you get the point with that kind of recovery.

It's a common behave of market going through up and down. Through this volatile situation you have need to make a plan where you need to take entry and exit. You said you were in profit so that you surely need to exit with your plan so that you will be on profit. However you said you still in profit make your plan hope you can exit with your time. However It's true that it still season of uptrend so that we can become more patient to get a good chance and exit with profit.

A lot of people who invest in highs have negative PNL, and if you have bad money and risk management, it is mentally hard.
