That is an evidence of bearish season OP, because once the bearish season is happening in the market, holders will begin to experience reduction of their coins in their wallet but you don't need to be panic, because it will definitely increase high when bullish season appear. I think, the altcoins bullish season is very close for long term holders and short term holders to experience from the market, because whenever the price of altcoins is decreasing in the market show that it will increase high to reach a new ATH in the next month. If you are holding a potential altcoins, don't allow anything to discourage you to trade in this bearish season, because there is a massive bullish season ahead for those that will continue holding their altcoins.

Hopefully 83% of your portfolio is the top altcoins that have good development, always updated, and the rise will come soon when the price of Bitcoin also recovers.
You don't have to worry if it's the best, just wait and if you have spare money, buy it again at a cheaper price.

But I hope you have BTC and ETH, because BTC is the main portfolio and ETH is the second choice. Some of the top altcoins are also pretty good, like SOL and BNB.
The collapse will definitely stop and become a bull market, just be patient and don't panic. This is common in crypto and the market will continue.

My altcoin portfolio was +83% on the 9th June but is now +51% just 9 days later.

I am buying some dips but mainly just holding during these times and hoping we recover in the coming weeks.

When will this crash stop? and how is everyone feeling?

I have it in my mind we still have a few more months till alt season so I am just holding on for now.
On the moment that you would really be seeing  your portfolio is dropping then it would really be that so damn hard to make yourself that not able to have those kind of reactions or making yourself that stone cold.
If you are someone whose really that dealing up with this market on a couple of years or long time then these movements wont really be that shocking anymore. For those who are just starting up then it would be
normal that there would really be that freaking out or having that kind of worrying inside on the moment that they will really be seeing some crash on which i could say that it would really be just that normal.
Holding up your position would really be just that entirely depending on you because if you do have trust about on the coins or project on you've been holding then you would stood your ground and wont really be
trying to take profits.

The hard thing on these moments is that on the time that you have seen your port on 0% or negative profits on which it would really be making already that kind of hesitation
and you might be ending up on cutting your losses on the moment that it would happen. This is why it would really be that situational on this part if we do speak
about these probabilities.

Well it's devastating for one to take a look at his portfolio right now .Most of the altcoins have lost so much value just hoping the bearish move will end soon

Meanwhile altcoins are showing bullishness in a podcast right now, crypto by highlighting meme coins is having a negative impact on the market it seems like memecoins and the emergence of fomc are contributing to this volatility, by withdrawing projects actually delaying the expected rise of altcoins just hoping the bearish movement will end soon by showing the outlook carefully wait for stronger market signals.

The bearish market is an important part of the market where investors seize every opportunity to accumulate more Altcoins into their portfolio. A good Altcoin having lost so much value will definitely retain its value when the bull run begins and even go higher than expected.

Did you overtrade for your portfolios? Why didn't you sell them all at the peak?

I am buying some dips but mainly just holding during these times and hoping we recover in the coming weeks.

When will this crash stop? and how is everyone feeling?

I have it in my mind we still have a few more months till alt season so I am just holding on for now.

Instead of buying on a downturn, why not short the market?

The market seems doubtful to recover in the next weeks for me. Though I do not rule out the possibility of a recovery, simply look at the bitcoin chart to see that the market takes months to recover.

To be honest, nobody knows when the crash will stop; hence, if I knew when the market would stop, I would jump in or even sell my car to get cryptocurrencies.

Although market collapses are not unusual in the bitcoin sector, I really think that everyone who did not sell at high regrets their decisions.

If you are talking about future trading then I would not recommend it and hence you also mention that nobody knows when it will crash. Doing DCA is suggested for people who don't know how to read and analyze the chart.
Futures trading doesn't just fit in this context, although some people are trying to attach the DCA approach to it in a way, but the approach will only be fitting for investment purposes. However, the DCA approach is for everybody, this is in contrast to what you stated, but the fact remains that you may not need the chart again when you opt for it. So these are two different things because just that you didn't read the chart doesn't mean you can't read it, and since you've averaged the risk/rewards through the DCA approach, there is nothing to be afraid of or read the chart for gain. All that matters is to have an unwavering belief in the project/asset you are averaging, otherwise, it could lead to regret.

What altcoin did you buy so that you got that big profit? The profits you get are very large because the price of Bitcoin and most altcoins is currently stable. You said the alt season will come in a few months but this is still uncertain, especially as currently the halving does not have a big effect on the price of bitcoin. maybe you should sell it because you have made huge profits and invest in potential altcoins like ETH and BNB.

I am not selling my altcoins I am just going to hold the ones I have currently and buy a little bit every now and then during this dip but I don’t have much spare cash at the moment so I am mainly holding waiting for the next leg up which will hopefully come soon.

I don't feel anything. I still own the private keys of my coins and my coins stay in my cold wallet. Safe and sound. As long as I don't lose coins, I don't lose anything. These crashes are temporary. My main altcoin is Litecoin and it is below $70 at the moment but I have zero fear. Sooner or later It will go above $100 again and then some more. I've been reading the news and they tell Litecoin has one of the most active addresses lately. These low prices don't mean anything to a coin like that. It will correct itself soon.

o48o - I have been in crypto over 2 years so have experienced the 2022 crash.

This is not as bad as that but Altcoins going down over 50% is more than a dip isn’t it?

This isn't really a "crash", this is a correction. Crash was what happened in 2022, if you go and take a look back on what happened at 2022, or even 2018, then you will see what a crash looks like, this is more like it is something you could definitely consider as normal and corrections happens all the time.

We shouldn't judge the market on brief moment of drops, because those drops could recover in a week, and anything that can be recovered in a week is not a big deal to me. Just keep on buying and holding trustworthy good projects and when it recovers you are going to make a good return from it for sure, it is not going to be such a big major deal, we should not be really worried about it at all, it could be something nice.
Hear, hear.
Although it's always hard to tell if people are newbs in the scene because new accounts, i am guessing JamesDaniel90 is new and this is OP's first real crash, so it's subjective to his bags.

But JamesDaniel90... You might want to scale back the charts to see how much people have been losing on crashes and why we are calling these dips. People who wouldn't be looking their bags weekly wouldn't even notice this. If you believe in your bags, forget them and look back when some lesser known high cap altcoins trend on your local news feed, newly rich are interviewed and "experts" say that blockchain is the next big thing. That's the only sell the news event you really need. Everything else is noise.

Here's a tip to OP from someone who came in early, that i've learned so far:

If you are not a day trader, and want to keep up on what's going on, look for news in development only. Trying to chase markets and trends will burn you up. Only way to bet on the trend is to know what the next trend is, and that you can sniff if you are following development. That's how people got into NFTs and dexes early.

Honestly, this altcoin crash has people feeling all sorts of emotions. A lot of folks are really anxious and frustrated seeing their investments tank. Only Long-term holders are a bit more optimistic, thinking this could be a good buying opportunity ,Pretty sure the  newer investors are pretty regretful by now. I too wish i had sold at least 50% of my altcoins before now cause the market isn't ready to stop tanking down anytime soon .

None of us knew for sure that this crash was coming - if we did then we would all be millionaires as we would be able to time the market, but we cant.

All we can do now is hold strong for the next month or so and buy any dips we can afford.

Good times will be back again probably August/ September time.

If you still maintain a 50% profit after the collapse of altcoins, you are in really good shape. The majority of investors did not make it, as is the case with most declines.

I can clearly say that I am at a loss, and I am not surprised by this, but even though it may not be the bottom, altcoins are at the bottom, so I am not worried and I am waiting for the moment to come. The market is like that, it really puts a strain on people's psychology, and it's not easy to endure these devastations.
Man, good thing i've reallocated most of my portfolio from shitty altcoins to at least the better altcoin (ethereum), the ETF really does give strength to ETH making it among the strongest altcoin withstanding current waves of price correction.

can you imagine had I still not reallocated my asset, i would've been -60% probably which could erase my profit i make from the beginning of the bullrun all the way to today.

pretty scary landscapes in the altcoin market, some even so sure that altcoins facing bearish season due to many projects getting undervalued.

the benefit of sticking to etheruem and bitcoin is like this, more resilient toward market correction, even if it dumps it doesn't dump too much compare it with TIA for example, losing 50% with just slight market cough.

Dont be scared that is what the big boys want they are trying to make the average person panic sell.

I am +42% currently, could be +32% this time next week but in a month I could be close to +100% again.

We just have to get through the next month or two and then last 4 months of the year we will be rewarded.

Just woke up and see the markets have fallen further and my portfolio is now +42%.

I continue to hold and not panic yet but must admit have been getting feelings of depression lately but surely market will bounce back soon as we have been going down for over a month now.

To be honest, currently I have experienced a loss of around 50% of my altcoins. This is very painful and stresses me out. I had to cut losses several times because I needed the money for something urgent. I have invested with cold money but I can't hold it for a few months. I put my money in altcoins around February and you know that currently the price of altcoins has experienced a significant decline since last May.

An investor must have a good knowledge of the market before investing. All the altcoins are losing their prices in a big way in the current state of the market. Those who invest in altcoins despite this situation will surely lose. But those who have already invested have to wait for this period. The market will not always remain in the same position, if it is bearish now it will be bullish again later. This is the religion of trading platforms. Those who have already made investment decisions can wait for a few more days. The market will turn again at any time. All altcoins can regain their strength if the Bitcoin price moves upwards from this position. Those who are interested in investing from this dip can invest and hold. Risks must be taken in the crypto market. However, it is important to analyze the market well before investing.
