But I do not understand why they simply do not buy then tokens of the project they like on the exchange, because the probability that they will be cheaper than even the initial cost during the ICO is 90%.

Dumps are being done by weak hands, whales, P&D people, Manipulators, bounty and airdrop hunters and the investors itself because either they want to accumulate more coins or they got fudded oh forgot about those people who want some quick bucks, large dumps from the first months of a token when it hit exchanges are commonly from bounty and airdrop hunters but depends on their reward pools, presale and actual token sale have their own discounts and bonus that why they are investing and they can't continue with their ICO if there are no investors at all.

they continue to invest despite its risk because of profit. there are ICOs that have potential and may give them profit. there are coins that will fall but there are also that will rise.

Seeing how many projects that conduct ICO are listed in Exchange at lower prices than it was stated during the ICO, investors continue to invest in projects.
Why are they still doing this?
I'm not talking about scammers...
Sorry for my English.

Those because right now so many weakhand investors who sold cheap.
Also the bounty hunters (if the project have bounty), will sell the tokens at any price because they get them for free.
If the project is really good, you just have to wait token price rising.

I do not agree with you about bountyhanters! what do you get for free ?? many people use money to develop their accounts Grin

Yes, this is very strange, but if no one buys tokens during ISO, then the project will not be able to develop. And prices during ICO and after are very different, although the market seems to be stable, or not?

Early investors buy tokens at a price much lower than during the ICO. For that reason they can afford dropping coin's rate below the ICO level. Nevertheless, now the reason for that fall is the general depression on the market.
Correct. Some ICOs even give 100% bonus for pre-sale investors. Those who got in earliest might just sell the coin they got as bonus and save some coin if they see some future in the project. They can also sell all the coins and buy back in once the price reach a certain low; either way, its a win-win for them.

It is simple because they all just want to make money out of it. People are just in because of money, and I hope that people will change their minds and will start to embrace the technology behind Blockchain.

I think if token of any ICO project listed on exchange with lower price than ICO price, sometime it's not because of it's bad ICO project. As I can see there are so many good ICO projects but their token price on exchange still lower than ICO price, it's the effect of downward trend and whole cryptocurrency is being affected.

If everybody waits for the ICO to finish and then buy tokens at low prices on exchanges, then who will invest in ICO!! Also early investors get benefit likes discounts, Beta invites and more options to make profits on the platform. This obviously holds true for genuine projects. Investing or buying tokens of a shady project like Bitconnect, Impressio are of course a loss either way.

There are many reasons behind it.
The most important one is the scam ICOs are degrading the reputation of good ICOs as well.
Another one is the decreasing market. What was the value of 1$ in BTC and ETH is more now.

to encourage investors, maybe they had a goal planned before the launch of the currency but did not meet it, now they sell below in hope that the currency will go up a little and can recover the value at a moderated price

I got your point. Did you mindful those numerous trick of ICO ? Like phony task or nah... There is no reason the cost will be more than of value ICO, since the speculator has got some rewards and eventual fate of advantage. All will be back on request, similar to how is the law of business sectors works. On the off chance that you see those tokens functioning as that, simply accept your open door to gain more cash.

Most ICO passes through this stage. Many investors are not who they say they are. These are speculators who wait for the first growth of tokens and sell them in order to make a profit and not risk their investments. Then comes the turn of those who are ready to buy coins and wait for their recovery. The fate of the project is of little interest. that's why many projects go bankrupt.

Despite this, the rewards for ico campaigns are smaller than they should be, people earn money because they get tokens theoretically for free. That's how bounty hunters work, you should check this

Big whales are taking over the market. But, they can only control it temporarily. So, don't worry. The situation would be under control very soon.

There are so many factors and it is really complicated. Here are some reasons why coins drop below ico prices when listed on an exhange.

#1 - An overall bearish market.  When the entire market is down, and there is little volume, this will kill the price of a new coin because no one is buying it up.  Since there is no trade history, it will crash the price very quickly.

#2 - Listing on a low volume or non reputable exchange or listing on a dex before listing on a big exchange.  People are becoming more demanding as they expect their ICO coin to be released on binance, kucoin, bibox, etc.  When they see it listed on a low volume exchange, fud immediately beings to spread.  People hodl until it can be listed on a bigger exchange and that lack of volume causes the price to crash.

#3 - Huge presale bonuses or bounty hunter coins.  ICO prices are not always the same, if there was no vesting period, than someone who got in during presale and purchased a large amount at a massive 30 - 40% discount means they can sell for much lower and still flip a profit.  Bounty hunters invested no money at all so they are willing to sell at any price for a profit.

#4 - Price manipulation.  For some projects that can actually become giants in the future, traders will go in and intentionally drive the price down by selling at low prices.  Their goal is to drive it down to a very low point, then they can go back in and purchase a large amount at very low prices.
