How long do you hold your coins?
Some coins I have a couple of months like Sia.
Some years like Ripple

I have been holding NEM for a year now and I am still continually buying it. It made a bull run early this year so I made some 5x profit from it already. Not that big but I do believe NEM have great potential in the future.

I only hold those coins which I think will become more valuable as time goes by, some coins I've been holding for the past two years have significantly increased in value over time.

I was trading my all coins when I met bitcoin and other altcoins, then I decided to hold some coins it's better to hold some coins instead of trading.
That strategy is the wisest choice that you can make. One rule that you should have when you trade your Altcoins if you decide to do so is that you should not trade any coins until you’ve made what you deposited in the trade. People such as myself traded coins below the price that was deposited because of another coin that released within the holding period and that made me miss out on a few portions of Bitcoin.

Hold onto the coins for a while and forget about it is the thing that most people should do and if they want to invest in something else then they should gather up some money on the side and then begin to invest.

i still hold few coins from mid-end of december until now, like sc, dgb, ltc, xmr, eth. for ltc, xmr, eth, i want to hold for a long time because i am sure that this three coin will increase so high and i won't missed the price. for sc, dgb, i think this coins is still in the bottom but i hope this coin will be increase too.

It depends on the coin.
Some coins i hold for 6 months. I don't like day trading. Holding long terms for bigger earnings Smiley

For bitcon, 3 months until now, I will wait until the november hard fork action. For waves 4 months, for ethereum 2 months, for other altcoins, it's been 1 month. Some of them caused me loss, but I will wait to turn them into profit on the market.

I was one of those people who could not wait, maybe I had some kind of coin and never tried to hold it for more than a month. But I started to intend to hold my coins now for several years.

The most times i try to buy more long term altcoins that i am going to hold for minimum 1 year. but choose your long term pik really carefully. I has to be a strong and fundamental good project.
On the other side i trade some altcoins for just a few days our hours. Most times i like to play some fast ICO movements Smiley

It depends on the price. If i know that the coins has any potential in the future then i'll hold it. But sometimes i sell it when i know i already get a good profit. I follow the rule sometimes "buy low, sell high".
that's another strategy to earned a day trading might work but holding for long term will bring you much bigger earnings so for what I understand along the way those who knew and patiently hold are those whos already a rich investors now,.

Not exactly to hold coins but totally it depends on price of course. Holding coins for a while then invest or sell it for a great price could be a huge profit me. Dumping of price in the market doesn't mean that it will dump at all, it will back again to it's normal and that's a time to sell your coins.

For me I did hold for about 2 months only max on all coins I did hold depending on the price movement and If I see to have profits then I do sell it right away without any hesitations. but the longest coins I did ever hold is bitcoin I'm still holding for a year now and wont ever decide to sell it until it wont reach new ath price ranges.

I hold BTC since 2012. Most altcoins just few months.

Wow that is amazing. How much btc you had purchased in 2012 and at what rate? Only handful of people actually bought in 2012 still holds it. Because many of them either sold it or bought some goods and made payment in btc. You would be rich guy today once you sell your btc in future if you own some decent numbers of coins.

I usually buy them to hold till a target price not a target time.
So there is no an exact holding time. Depends on the price trend. sometimes days sometimes hours and sometimes months.
