Well, i just hold until it makes profit, i dont like to hold for years, i just hold as long as it is necessary.
For example, i bought some Siacoin at 120 sats and i sold them at 200 sat each one, i made a 80% profit in less than a month. I prefer doing this and then buy another coin, than just wait months for a big big pump.

I do the same with you, for bitcoin that i try to hold in 2-5 years ahead, while for altcoin i always use it for trading, now I have some altcoin like ETH and WAVES which i think have chance to keep growing. And I survived until the end of this year and it looks like this altcoin price will be able to reach the best price at the end of this year.

Definitely depends on my coin and the circulation of coin in the market.
I'm holding bitcoin for some years now and cashing out sometime but Im holding it as long as I can and wait for it to go to its peak. While my alts, there are some that Im holding for short term and mid term. Ive been watching closely the market so I can profit good to it.

Not too long, unless the alt coin is already on top 10, the traders mood for trading specific coin is only brief so need to be fast and make profit while you can, there are a lot of new coins every day that is why for alt coin you need to move fast, I usually only hold for 1 week

It all depends on the coin. Some I hold longer than others because I believe in its long term survival. Most pump and dumps I try to get rid of instantly.

How long do you hold your coins?
Some coins I have a couple of months like Sia.
Some years like Ripple

How long? I'm gonna hold my coins until the price of it goes high then after, I'm going to trade a half of it so that the remaining is reserved for the next higher value of my coins. Holding and waiting is very much important because, with that, you could earn more profit so just hold and wait for you to have a high profit.

Ripple is something that I would hold onto for a long time because there’s people working in that project that will cause the development for that coin to improve over time. The guys that do the marketing for Ripple does a pretty good job as well. Personally, I think that they spend too much money on keynotes and conferences, they could spend that money on the price of the coin and pay more programmers so they could speed up the process of the project though that’s just me.
A lot of people on here don’t really like Ripple though, they have to prove that it’s an investment worth spending money on.

I think it depends on the coin. I'm sure everyone is holding some bitcoins for some years now, and will probably continue doing so, specially with the new halve in 2020 I guess. Solid altcoins like etherium are probably worth holding long term as well. Most other altcoins are probably only good for trade, so I don't think anyone will hold them, and will probably just try to get something out of their pumps and dumps.

To get the best  out  of your  investment, you must  always set a target, when to old and when to release else 'greed' migth make cause you pains. I hold  untill I reach 10-30%
Thou risk is involve in cryptocurrency but with calculated risk your lost will be minimal or nill.

I plan on holding both Eth and Bitcoin (whichever fork wins) for the long term. I think they'll keep spearheading the crypto economy for quite some time into the future...

Other than that i plan on holding NEO and OMG, but trying to increase my positions on those

From a week to over a year, depending on the cryptocurrency itself and all that goes around, the team, the marketing plan, etc
There are not a lot of coins that I hold for over 6 months.... the natural selection I guess Cheesy

It depends on what type of project the coin is holding and what will be the result output. Their are coins which i am holding from more then 12 months as their projects are very good and its result will be 10x on long term. Some i have sold it as soon as it hits exchange. Right now i am holding ICN, ICOB, VSL, TIME, this are some coins which i am holding from long and my view is another 6 months and the coin will give you 10x profit.

It depends on the coin and some news which can change my decision. I usually invest in major altcoins such as Ethereum and litcoin for long term. But there are some news or some events that cause the prices to change. In these cases, my decision might change.

Depends on people's reason for investing in the first place I guess. Some could be to help with an idea they believe in, some are get rich quick and bail soon as it's x5/x10/x20 and others it's the long term maybe strike it lucky like the early NEO adopters.

May also be an alternative retirement pot rather than holding all your eggs in one basket (the bank)
