I am worried about bitcoin when mining becomes less and less profitable and
difficulty goes up and up.
Hopefully bitcoin goes up enough to compensate the difficulty and keeps people mining.

we know the difficulty in bitcoin mining goes up everyday , but the bitcoin price can't goes up everyday,if the opportunity to reach ROI in bitcoin mining more difficult, Im sure only "biggest company" can survive in bitcoin mining life
I'd say it is already established. It's not a toy and many people use it.
It's not established yet until a proper consensus mechanism is made.
You dont have a transparent voting system yet for bitcoin and that is why you see all the discord withing developers and community.
We need to adopt a share based voting system like http://bitcoinocracy.com/ system-wide.
After that happens, then I say it's established.
I think the life of bitcoin would depend upon its price and the adoption level of the people in future, if the adoption is higher then bitcoin will survive for a longer period of time.

I hope bitcoin lives at least 5x more than the banks.
Since banks are around for 600 years, then bitcoin must live 3000 years!
I hope what you are saying that should be true in future, but honestly I don't feel that bitcoin will live that longer, I have a feeling that it will not last more then a decade.
It if lasts 1 decade , it will last much more, it will be pretty much established by 2019, and nothing could harm it.

At this point all of the scenarios that i can think off where Bitcoin would dissapear fall on the "unrealistic category", so that includes a total massive natural disaster, a world war, some sort of alien invasion... everything else has been addressed and is not a real treat. So yeah, it's simply unrealistic that bitcoun would fall at this point, too big too fail.
Feels like the polar opposite to me. It's still microscopic and very fragile. Too big to fail implies that the collective would do anything to ensure something's survival.
The hard core of developers, businesses and users would be understandably bereft if it went up in smoke tomorrow for technical reasons or whatever. For the multiple billions of people elsewhere it wouldn't even register. For a large chunk of Bitcoin users they're going to go where the convenience and the profits are.

I think it has opened a pandora's box where new types of ideas and thinking is concerned also. There will be ups and downs but for now I believe Bitcoin is slowly increasing in people's interests generally speaking.

Long live bitcoins ! I think and more than think I wish bitcoins to stay alive as long as possible, I know less about technical things but I think once all coins are mined then it would be dead, before that I love btc.
