Bitcoin will exist until zero nodes are in operation and that will not happen while people have value/money stored onto it. If the value goes down to zero for some reason, people will still use the technology for other things, like Smart contracts and many other services hosted on the Blockchain.
The price will always be controlled by supply and demand and whatever the protocol dictate. < How many coins are released as a reward for the miners to do the mining >

Bitcoin will survive till all the one who are hosting bitcoin nodes decide to host it. It is decentralized one so there will be nothing like immediate shutdown of whole bitcoin network. May be come down also in the Future.
