Got my first Bitcoin today, also turn out I can get a few Kh mining litecoin with my phone, lol.

Because then anybody could just spam active users with scams and virii. Also, we'd like to see you contribute somehow before we let you out into kindergarten pit that is bitcointalk.org
It gives an oppurtunity to get to know the site too before posting. You could end up finding a few gold nuggets of information
