I have one only because i don't have that much bitcoin to be afraid of losing

There is a lot to think about and some very cool and fun ways to go.  I would love to find a Windows Phone app wallet that I liked and was associated with one of the online sites that I use, all in good time

I only have one wallet and it's in blockchain simply because I don't know why would you need more than one wallet. People say they keep more than one wallet so in case it gets hacked, not all of the coins will be gone. That just proves how insecure their wallet is. They aren't confident that they password is hard enough to guess.

It depends on you bro, you can make a lot of bitcoin address but make sure hat you can manage that all addresses, a lot of people here have x2 or more bitcoin address, I think one address for personal transacts, one address for business transacts.
Depends on user if he want to make more or lots of bitcoin address , if he wants to use it for ponzi scheme then you can create more wallet in one account "called" alternative wallets and if someone request a new wallet it will pop up it always use it for business trasaction you can see it on blockchian.info

I never had a full blockchain wallet at all, started with dozen of exchanes wallet which I used for whole year only Smiley
I know it was not safe
Then made first multibit wallet, later switched to electrum BTC because ist more as cold storage with only my keys secured at paper and pc holding it being used just for it and nothing else

Maybe because of the volume of BTC I have gathered or because of the complexity in my own opinion of maintaining more than one wallet, I havent seen any reason to go for more than one...
Me, I have more than one wallet because I treat my bitcoins as an investment so in investing we need to know how to diversify our investment and dividing our investment in different wallet is good as it minimize the risk of being hack.

Need some spare btc for a new PC
If you're like me and aren't interested in gambling and such, I believe that one wallet should be enough. I'm not holding any large amounts in anytime and when I get payed by the signature campaign I, almost immediately sell them.

I had be a number of wallets. One for gambling. One is for saving and using on investments. I have 3 more for spending money and getting paid. It is really just to make it easier to organize where your bitcoin is and where you will use it.

I have two bitcoin wallet. The other one I use it in case I need to recharge my phone or want to earn from referrals by using the wallet and for cashing out purposes. The other one is the one I use in my online transactions like trading and investing. I separated it because the first one is only a sub wallet and I wanted to track the transactions so I use the other one instead in online transactions so that I can see its confirmation and track my expenses.

Need some spare btc for a new PC
Right now, I have about 12$ in btc and planning on collecting every week and than selling it all, every week, for a nice pocket money. I think I may have spent around 30$ since I've started trading and that were all trades of a few $ in btc.

Nah I don't think you need more than one wallet "specially in you case, a newbie", Just download a good wallet "the original if you can handle it or Multibit/Electrum if you can't", People using more than one wallet are mostly doing so because they are enough skilled and it's more convenient to them "Armory being more secure, Electrum fast etc...".

of course im not a newbie in bitcoin world, im miner, trader, and bitcoin lover.
but im use more than 1 wallet, why ? because i have plan to holding long term then i choose paperwallet , im using bitcoin for daily transaction (top up mobile etc.) then im using xapo/coinbase wallet with zero feature, and im use mycellium for secure wallet .

Currently I am using three wallets.

1st wallet to receive bitcoins from my sources,
2nd wallet to store bitcoin to cold wallet with higher security and backup.
&
last 3rd wallet to exchange to fiat currency.

Using multiple wallets makes no impacts as each payment can be received in new address or old address also but can be controlled user must have strong security layer to protect BTC within wallet.

For security I am using email, 2fa, ip lock, session lock etc features.
