The truth is I doubt that in countries in Europe and the USA the majority of businesses and especially casinos are owned by politicians, because Generally I see that in those countries politicians have more ethics, despite the fact that they are politicians I see them with a little more respect, however in my country the majority of companies are owned by Politicians and they have their front men so that their names are not tarnished, this is something impressive, but unfortunately it is like that, I speak only for my country, but I imagine that some countries in South America do have these practices.

It's hard for you to see or hear a casino own by a politician. Down here in my country, I don't think that any of these politicians own a casino, because they are more of stealing public funds than setting up a business for themselves. Instead of then having casinos, they prefer having hotels that they can use for political purposes.
Don't be surprised that despite their attitude of stealing and squandering public funds, they can secretly have those business (casino) without our knowledge and some keeps their personal business secret because it could be against the policies of their positions in the political office. Well, here in our country, as far as I know, there are some politicians or congressmen who are protectors and others who are even owners of online gambling under Pogo's, And as far as I know, although there is no confirmation yet, the house speaker in our congress himself has casino properties in Pogo.

I only know Trump, and the reason Trump can get away with being a politician and a casino owner is his being charismatic, but politicians will stay with the gambling business even if gambling is legal in their region. There are voters who are conservative when it comes to gambling, so they are going to lose votes from people from religious and these conservative voters.
Some corrupt politicians own gambling platforms, legal and illegal, but they hire their own people. to run them, and sometimes they act as a protector they just get bribe money to protect these casinos.
for Trump specifically, as far as I know, he doesn't own any casinos right now but he did open several in the past but it was eventually closed or sold(at least this is what I remember reading in the past).
You can just say that he bankrupt 6 of them, as he did. In fact there were 4 of them that got bankrupted, which is pretty impressive considering how much money you can make with these if you would be a successful businessman. But it's not like he used his own money, it mostly loans.Technically in US, has laws to prevent conflict of interest that would prevent Trump benefiting from presidency. Jimmy Carter put his peanut farm to blind trust before his term, to prevent the conflict but trump doesn't seem to care, so who knows if he plans to make more casinos online.

For sure that no politician would gonna link their name on casinos since provably that this might ruin their political career. This maybe be use as weapon by their opponent to destroy their reputation so we cannot to see any politicians involvement on this kind of investment. But provably they might protect some entities running this businesses and they might ask some bribe from casino owners and I guess this is the only thing they deal with those casinos around.

I think that a person like the current US President Donald Trump will not organize a casino, since it is unlikely to be associated with a positive thing by his former voters. And even if he does not neglect such things as speculation on his own cryptocurrency tokens, I think that the organization of the casino lies with other people. These are most likely really serious wealthy people who have the courage and legal knowledge to organize a casino. But the situation with organizing casinos in small countries is different: there it is quite possible that the leader of the nation can be the organizer and owner of the casino, but this is more likely in authoritarian countries.

However, many of these politicians are corrupt or secretive. They could be secretive to avoid issues when people are aggrieved with them and could target their business, so that is wise. But many are corrupt and everything they own will be kept a secret. In my country, many politicians do not own casinos and other establishments in their name, that's to show how secretive and corrupt they can be. I don`t remember any president with his own casino. But i`m sure that some politicians lower level has some casinos under control using other people of course. Right now i can`t remember names, but i remember that at least one governor in my country was catch with affiliated casino several years ago. It didn`t change anything in his career. I do not have any statistics where politicians are connected to casinos or gambling businesses or hold business partnerships there. But what seems to me is that politicians are definitely ahead of others in any financial activity. But they are usually interested in making profits from those businesses from behind the scenes without coming to the front of any business. If the information regarding his finances becomes public, then he can certainly face serious losses. That is why even if politicians are connected to gambling establishments, they will never disclose it.
Trump and his casinos are well known, but you have to understand the lack of discretion here. Exactly! No one here or very few will possibly know about a politician that owns a casino or even a serious gambler. In some state where there are well established casinos the VIP session is for big men/ politician and for one to be able to afford VIP session you should know the amount of money you have. So even when you stop at those casinos and stay in the regular you might not be able to access the VIP where you could possibly see politicians or influential people in the society. Probably not gonna find them online. In my country, I assume many Casinos or online gambling platform are owned by Politicians but they got a way to preserved it. They use an alias or probably a different name or entity as a sole owner of that casino. Ofcourse being a politician you should not be affiliated with the likes of this kind of business. But its the opposite, thats their thing and if the casino made an illegal stuff they hide it. Its being protected without any problems since the owner is the politician whose gonna protect it from people who complaining about it. Lol haha crazy world.

I did not find any exact data about politicians who have casino businesses like Trump, but I feel that there are many, both legal and illegal. For example, in my own country here, there are many politicians who are involved in gambling practices, it is like an open secret that many politicians or officials are involved in gambling practices here, even when the government issues a regulation prohibiting gambling, but it does not worry them because they have the authority and network that they can use to secure their gambling business.
True, because owning casino, no matter how successful it's, the public won't be proud for that. There are many people who consider gambling is something bad, harmful, sin, dangerous, cancer etc you name it, if the politicians share it to the public, they might lost votes from people who hate gambling.
