Since I only play lottery games it only take me 5 minutes to place my bet in the lottery booth and then go home. But based on my observation cock fighting here in my place took my friends like 7-10 hours. Card players usually took them more or less 12 hours sometimes they go home at dawn without a meal, that is how they are addicted to it even if it was illegal here.
That good, you only play the lottery and that is done at home betting place which allows you not to be interested in betting or other games because maybe there will only be two or three types of bets and they are all about guessing numbers.
Live cockfighting and card games do take quite long time because those who bet there will not go home if the amount of money they have brought has not been completely used up, this is an activity that happens quite often where I live.
But the majority of gamblers are people who can be said to be old because the average age of gamblers is around 40 to 60 years, and gamblers who can still be said to be young will prefer online gambling.

But the question is how can you only focus on lottery betting and only do it live or offline, when there are so many gambling sites that have lottery betting and other betting options.
Moreover, lottery betting on online gambling sites will be able to provide much larger winning amount, the difference obtained can be around 2 times that of winnings at home betting sites.

On the other hand, I quite impressed with those of you who are not influenced by online gambling which has clearly had very large and significant developments.
So far I have never really found gambler like you.

In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?

So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?
Subjective question and the answers can be vary depending on the gamblers. The more time to spend = the more money lose is not completely true, the right statement is that the more time to spend = the higher chance to lose more. Of course the more time to spend also give more chance to win as well so its all about luck. Coming to the appropriate time to spend on gambling, I cant say a fixed number because I believe a single gambler may spend different time from one session to other session. The most important thing is, do not sacrifice your family time or working time or other important time for gambling.

Finding out how long someone plays or gambles is interesting. Even if they think that playing longer will make them lose more, teaching people how to gamble safely is still important. Games can be more fun and keep you in control if you set time and money limits. Finding a mix that works for everyone is important because everyone has different tastes and intolerances. Maintain a record of the time you spend gaming if you want to do it healthily. Happy play, and stay safe!

For me, it depends on my budget if I run out or still win, but the time I often spend gambling is 3 hours win or lose. There is nothing wrong if you gamble for a long time, 3 hours to 6 hours, as long as your budget can handle it and you don't gamble every day. The bad thing is that if you gamble every day and the time you spend is always 3 hours to 6 hours or more, that's not good, you have a high chance of becoming addicted to gambling if you gamble like that. You can easily run out of money. So it's possible that others are the same way once their budget is used up they will stop there too so it really depends on the budget how long you will last.
The main factor all depends on the budget allocated for gambling, if you win at some stage of gambling then the duration of your gambling will probably be more than 3 hours per day but actually we need other rules to limit gambling that if we win it reaches 50% of the total daily gambling budget then it is better for you to stop gambling to take profit and you can return to betting another day with the same gambling budget limit.

This thought just crossed my mind after I dropped my comment on this board here some hours ago. I have tried to search for any related topic but have not gotten any results. Guys, if this topic has been discussed before, please do well to tag me while you also drop your opinions here.

If the title is a bit tricky, then I will break it down.

Gambling is for fun, and actually, if someone wants to have fun gambling, there is no way they can spend six hours gambling or even spend the rest of their day gambling.

Some people will say that they will gamble for as long as their deposited money is still not exhausted, while others will say that they will gamble until their urge is satisfied. But I think that it will be exhausting to gamble for a very long time, like more than 6 hours, and it will also cause the gambler to lose more.

I don't think I have gambled more than 2 hours without getting tired (not sure) Grin. I have not actually checked my gambling strength to know how long I can last while gambling; now that I have thought of it, I will try it.

I assume it's no longer Christmas Day, so happy World Boxing Day, guys.

Generally I don't follow any Kind of hours limitations whenever i engage in gambling. I do gamble when have free time and i stay in gambling website till the end of that certain match/round. Cause a person can't ingore any game after placing bet with it as mind will always try to drive a gambler there for updates. And thus there's no hours for gambling. But it's true that you shouldn't stay there for longer when you don't have any favorite team to place a bet. Even it is also important, not to keep a large amount in your gambling account. Otherwise mind will command you to place random bets and you would lose more bets

First people must understand that gambling is not like sport for example, when doing something for more than hours or half an hours is useless and gives nothing except exhaustion. Gambling is not something like medical procedure, which is doing less than X minutes gives no effect, and more than X minutes damages health. The amount of time spend in gambling must be measured with size of deposit and ability of having self control, so that gambler won lose everything in one session. It is not something "doctor recommends to do it X minutes per day".
Often the recommendations that are made have to do with the amount of money a gambler could use to gamble, however since this amount is different for each person the recommendation comes in the form of a percentage, with 1% and 2% of our monthly pay being often considered to be the limit of what a person should spend when gambling.

And while that limit may seem to be too small for some gamblers, at least to me that is an amount that makes sense, as such a low amount will prevent us from ever developing any gambling issue.

Your point regarding time and risk calculation is important, but gambling's volatility cannot be changed by patient. Understanding odds and having a strategy can reduce risks, but not eliminate them.

Often neglected, knowing when to stop is crucial. It's dangerous to make 'just one more bet' Self-control in gambling includes regulating emotions, expectations, and bets. The trick is to gamble just with what you can afford to lose and to enjoy gambling, not make money.
However, in reality, active gamblers will find it quite difficult to calculate their gambling time because they are already experiencing excessive addiction. If asked when they stopped it would definitely be when their balance was empty due to a losing streak and if they had other money they would definitely put the money back into their account and continue gambling again. It's about what kind of gambler is and who can manage their time when they engage in gambling, because what I know is that for those who are addicted it will be quite difficult to control when to stop.

If talking to people who gamble just for fun it may be true because it will be much easier for them to assume the time. But it will be much more difficult when talking to those who have been addicted to gambling because they are unable to control themselves and regulate their emotions.

Gambling for long hours could increase the chance of winning and understanding better about gambling. In reality, gamblers won't have the patience, and they don't follow it. All they do is just increase the bet value after a loss. If lucky, the gambler will recover what he lost in his previous wager, if not, his gambling fund gets washed off. To avoid such situations, it is always good to wager with limits on the bet value. This will allow the gambler to have long hours of gambling as well as help to avoid losses. At the end of the day, gambling is more of a luck-based thing, so how long we spend doesn't matter.
Not so sure if someone involved in gambling takes hours to train patience and increase the chances of winning. Gambling is known to have a side of luck and it is not every day that we are lucky enough to gamble, so there is quite a risk of losing when people are involved in gambling for a much longer duration. But I agree with one thing, if we are in a condition of luck then increasing the bet can give us a big win while we are in gambling activities.

On the other hand we also have to think about when to stop because if we are forced to continue, our previous winnings could turn into losing all our previous bets. Time is not a big problem but how can someone be responsible for the gambling activities carried out because if not we will lose much more.

I had the same thought which is why I prefer small bets while playing in an auto bet feature and I just let it go wild. Looking at the graph, there's always a point where the gambling site will give back. One of my seeds registered 200 thousand amount of bets but I didn't even feel that I really lost before I changed to a new seed.
It's true that playing for a longer time gives you the chance to hit the RTP but I don't think everyone could do this. Some have limited time because of work or other stuff that they must do but I can say that casino games are not pure luck-based games. I've won triple my money and everything was taken back from me and any game I pick I would just lose, no matter what it is. There's a system that controls everything and I think our only chance to win is if the system says so. If not, we are just playing circle with them and maybe losing a little bit. Winning on the other hand is if we are at the right time at making our bets.

I think this all really just entirely depends on the situation.  One valuable piece of time management in regards to gambling that I've learned over the years is to gamble when you've got plenty of time on your hands.  That way you're not forced to quickly play/potentially make rushed decisions.  I learned this lesson playing Texas Hold'em in college a bunch.  With that game you've got to have plenty of time set aside to gamble.  If not, you'll be forced to make silly all in type bets.  I would get a call from my gf at the time who'd say to come over, and then I'd just go all in and waste a game.  So, my two on this topic.

Agree with this mate  time will matter also, cause we all know that the more we spent on gambling and if we have a lot of money then  we can bet in a long period of time which is pretty bad habits when we are unlucky cause we won't win ever. But if we are too lucky then there's a chance that we will win some of our bet and have a good  winning amount which is pretty sure we will become happy once we will win.

Coming to your first point that gambling is not at all fun because it is betting with money and losing your pocket ZERo.

When People go to cinemas to watch movies, they pay to get the satisfaction they want, will you say its not all fun because they lose money in the process? This whole thing  about gambling being a fun activity or not depends solely on the mindset of the gambler involved and if gambling means a lot  to you aside fun, you will work harder to make profits. This does not mean people do not put their minds on winning, winning is what makes gambling exciting but how you go about it truly matters.

The next point is that gambling doesn't depend on time because there are many people who gamble a lot of money in just a few hours and there are many people who gamble all day and bet very little money. So you have to have a pocket full of money to gamble.
When i go to the casino or betting then i will have a certain amount of money in my pocket and i will start with that. If i win then i will play more but if i lose i will not play anymore.

Having lots of money in your pocket to gamble with is an irresponsible act. It is just like walking into the the casino without a plan. Having lots of  money or not will not guarantee that you will stay longer at the casino,  even if you do, you might lose everything. A reasonable gambling budget will help you stay on track and lose less and this is the right way to  go.

What I do is very simple. I get a budget for a session that day and I only finish when I ran out of that money, which usually only take me 45 minutes -2 hours depending of the budget and my luck (which is in average bad, most of the times). Though, I must recognize this is a bad strategy, because it encourages me to continue to gamble even after starting to get into profit, so I end up losing all my budget.

I am yet to reach a point when I need to get off the computer or my phone and continue to have balance in my account, that being said, I believe my limit time to be up to 3 hours at maximum, assuming I have got nothing to do or take care of that same day.

Of course, I have read and seen videos of people who spend most of their day on the slots and people in Las Vegas not even wanting to get up their seat to reach the bathroom, they may perfectly be wearing deapers, for the sake of gambling. Not my thing, it is obviously one of the high staged of gambling addiction if one cannot even care to reach the table to eat or a Watercup to defecate.

I think you gamble casino games often. For a person like me that loves sport bets. I can spend less than a minute in a bookie and I can take 1 hour picking games to stake. If I want to bet and I feel lazy for tbe day, I can decide to copy bets of a player usually reputable gamblers betting code and paste on it the same betting platform and do some editing. If they select some games that I don't like, I will remove it and if they don't incluse some that I expected to see, I will include them to sum everything and then bet the amount I have in mind to bets, and when I'm done, I will logout and check after all the matches have been played.

As for the myself when I want to pick. I hardly spend more than 2 hours on betting platforms, it's even energy draining to be moving from one league to another. I will do my selection and then later sort out some by how sure I'm of their outcome and place the amount I can afford to lose and then come back when they are done. If win, cashout and if I don't, I do some night selections that will be played overnight, then submit and check back the next day. I don't think time is what determine how you win or lose in betting but I can't say much for casinos.

In my opinion, even though they gamble for a long time, it does not increase their chances of winning, because in my opinion, the length or duration of it has no effect, unless they have strong luck with a short time, they might be able to get a win, but if they don't have luck on their side even though they spend a long time gambling, it will not guarantee that they can get a win, another factor is that many cannot beat the host who has the main role in gambling.
Many of them gamble for a long time so that it makes them even more courageous to increase the amount of bets, in my opinion gambling for a long time for hours is not a good thing, because the longer you gamble I think it will trigger you to become addicted to gambling which leads to gambling addiction. but yes it is the right of each person, therefore it cannot be the same in the time used for gambling.
