There's no control over the time we are limited to use while gambling, this is all about our individual choice to remain with gambling as long as we wish to, but i think what determines if we are to gamble or not and when to last in gambling is the rate of the amount of money we have to continue with gambling from the bankroll we have, if we can afford having the money to continue with gambling then we can choose to last as we wish while gambling as long as our bankroll is available and funded.

You're right there, and the free time of every gambler is not the same. What is their free time to play gambling? Maybe it's not a big deal if every gambler should have the right time to gamble because we are not employees who have time to work and time to be out of the job.

So let's just let the gamblers play in the free time they have. Maybe there are times when we can keep up with some, and there are times when we can't because the time is not the same in different parts of the world.

Most gamblers will gamble at least 5 hours a day.
It seems very risky if you play gambling for at least 5 hours and that is the same as spending half a day gambling and for me this has a risk of addiction because the longer it lasts, emotions and dopamine will increase which causes a gambler to lose control.
as I said before, I once played gambling when I got a win, it could last up to 3 hours and at that time my eyesight and brain felt tired and forced me to continue betting which resulted in losing my entire budget because anyone who gambled was already tired and would definitely bet recklessly and It is highly not recommended to persist in gambling for 5 hours.

but it all comes back to each gambler because everyone has a different opinion but for me it wouldn't be good if done in the long term there are too many big risks that have to be borne and it's better to spend at least 1-3 hours gambling that's already far it is better to avoid negative impacts that occur.

The universal answer would be that there is no best time for gambling sessions Cheesy It is best until its fun and you still have balance. But for matured gamblers, I dont see how gambling sessions can be long. I mean they have played the same game for million bets, they have see everything, the game might be even boring for them. As I love quick games, I dont understand how can people play them for several hours straight. Several sessions for gambling online, or few hours in offline casino would be perfect.

P.S. I have heard stories when people gamble for 10-20 hours non-stop. That is crazy.

Currently we have no stipulated amount of time meant to spend in gambling, it varies from one individual gambler to the other and as much as you have fun doing it, then good for you, some can gamble until they get tired, while some quit once they hit two or three loses, whereas some set of gamblers will only stop when they burn their entire funds, but in all we do moderation is highly encouraged, we shouldn't spend much of time the moment we aren't having fun or gaining anything out it.

Moderation it is. It really depends on the person and how they feel about it. Some gamblers might enjoy a quick gambling session, maybe an hour or so, while others might be cool with going at it for longer. The key is to set some kind of limit, whether it's a time restriction or a budget cap, to keep things in check. Everyone's got their own comfort zone so figuring out what works best for you is the name of the game. Just make sure it stays fun and doesn't turn into a marathon loss of money  Smiley

This thought just crossed my mind after I dropped my comment on this board here some hours ago. I have tried to search for any related topic but have not gotten any results. Guys, if this topic has been discussed before, please do well to tag me while you also drop your opinions here.

If the title is a bit tricky, then I will break it down.

Gambling is for fun, and actually, if someone wants to have fun gambling, there is no way they can spend six hours gambling or even spend the rest of their day gambling.

Too much of everything is bad for the health be it gambling or any other activity that we love you doing but in as much as time is the factor here, I think the time you spent gambling is dependent on the type of gambling you are into. If decide to play casino, I don't think I have the capacity to sit down on my laptop and be wagering throughout in between that time and as for sport betting, it depend on my mood and how much games I want to select. If I want to bet on plenty odds, I will move from one league to another and do my analysis and may take a lot of time but if it's for a short game, Premier league and Seria is enough for me to pick and wrapp everything on time and stake what I have to lose and go about my other business.

I don't think I have gambled more than 2 hours without getting tired (not sure) Grin. I have not actually checked my gambling strength to know how long I can last while gambling; now that I have thought of it, I will try it.

I assume it's no longer Christmas Day, so happy World Boxing Day, guys.

we have some people that are heavy gamblers, you will think they inject gambling into their blood stream, they don't know anything other gambling, all their life is always about betting. While I see this as an addiction, I know people that are doing more than a person that is working in a bank staff. I have seen a guy won ₦124m($103,300) between yesterday and today, stake 5 games, 2 lost and 3 was won and this is not his first time but going through his timeline says a lot about his gambling behavior but he is doing fine and making the money. I think it's safe to say that his addiction is paying off because I'm not sure where you can make such amount of money easily in this country.

Online casinos offer a different experience. Players have greater control over their gaming sessions in terms of time and money management. With just a click, players can exit the online platform, providing a level of flexibility and convenience not found in physical casinos. Consequently, the duration of gameplay may differ significantly between the two platforms.
Yes, everyone has a certain time limit for gambling, therefore it cannot be used as a benchmark or measure to find out how long a gambler takes to gamble, sometimes there are players who have greedy behavior in no more than one hour and their money is gone because they follow their emotions when playing. gambling so that it makes it easier for him to quickly lose all his money in a short time.

But it's different for gamblers who always play casually, especially those who have a special budget, so usually gamblers like that tend to gamble for a long time, maybe more than an hour, especially for me personally, who usually bets with smaller bets, it usually takes 2 to 3 hours. just to gamble in a casino, let alone bet on sports betting, which might be more than that until the match is over. The duration usually depends on the user's behavior.

There is no actual universal time duration one can say is the right time range to gamble with. Gambling duration is determined by different factors and in most cases, the longer time you spend gambling does not mean you are spending more. A person can walk into the casino and lose a huge amount of money immediately he started gambling for the day while the other that has been there for the past few hours will go home losing very little or even nothing at all.

A responsible gambler who has a job and other activities to run back to will manage his time very well to accommodate all the the activities he has to attend  to and this can only be achieved when playing with a fixed budget and ofcourse backed with discipline. When a gambler begins to stay overly longer at the Casino to the extent that other of his personal affairs begin to suffer,  then it is a sign of a gambling problem. Everything boils down to proper time management,  a good gambling budget and discipline.

In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?

So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?
It's not a general rule. A gambler can play for the whole day with a limited budget, placing low base bets, growing their budget slowly, if they are lucky on that respective day. Meanwhile, another gamble can spend a fortune in a short gambling session of few minutes by placing huge base bets or increasing them a lot on each loss.

I've seen gamblers spending about 20,000$ in a 10 minutes gambling session at online casino. And on the other hand, I've also seen gamblers doing bankroll management (5% daily profit) during long sessions of 2 hours with few bucks. And what it's more curious and interesting yet is that probably the guy playing with few bucks had more fun than the other who played with thousands, because he was playing with a purpose, while the other was just killing some time without any planning at all.

You can play as many hours as you wish, just make sure you aren't neglecting another activities and responsabilities of your daily routine, neither spending money you can't afford to lose in gambling. There are days we are too stressed and just want to have some good time, so if you picked gambling with that objective in mind, I see no issues if you gamble the whole day, since you it was a planned, rational decision which won't prejudice your finances as consequence.

You are right, the time interval doesn't matter, in a minute one can wager lots of money, in anticipation of earning big. While some other person would maintain their discipline and enjoy the process with little amount. It's certain to say that the person who managed his money played for fun, but we may not know what's actually in the mind of the high roller who spent all the money in a few minutes. He may end up happy if he wins the bet, but somehow would feel the loss, especially when the amount is too much for him. Some people wouldn't feel it losing such an amount in a few minutes. But, this type of gambler, is mostly an addict. They don't want to waste a single time in the casino. They just want to wager all their money and go if the result isn't favorable to them. The attitude is mostly void and affects them financially, and they may not be able to pay for other bills.

While there may be few people who practice this type of gambling, we can't exaggerate the rate at which people would win for spending more time or less time gambling. It's mainly on luck, the big roller can win immediately, a whopping amount of money. All that is needed of the players is to spend their money and leave immediately. The amount they'll win or lose for the time spent in the casino can't be detected or calculated. That's why Op's question may not have an accurate answer. Gamblers differ, and all sorts of people around the globe gamble, each with a different purpose and reason why they have chosen to gamble. No appropriate hour for gambling, I think a human is expected to get tired after spending at least 6 hours on his computer screen. So, if a player wants to spend his whole leisure on gambling, he only needs to plan his money and wager according to what he's got. But another gambler who is not comfortable or can't control himself for a while will have no other option than to spend all his money at once.

Depending on where you're doing it and how much and how fast you get your account or pocket, funded, people are playing in physical casinos and they can last 5 to 12 hours, physical casinos do not have windows and they do not have clock displayed and they always serve free drinks, free foods, and free entertainment even to nonplaying visitors just to keep you hyperfocus on the tables, because the casinos know that the longer they can keep you inside their premises the better for their profit.
It's different in online casinos you have full control of the hours and your money because you are just one click away from getting out of the platform, so it's not the same length of time between the two platforms.

The ideal length of time for gamblers for online casino players is 1 to 2 hours and for physical casinos is 2 to 3 hours of course it depends on your bankroll and how good you are at controlling yourself in adding more money in your bankroll.

In my view, spending more or less time gambling doesn't necessarily indicate that those who spend more time will lose more. What if that person has a high winning rate? The more they play, the more they win, right? Moreover, if you're comparing like that, it's better to compare it within the same person. Because the winning rate for each person may differ, someone spending less time gambling might lose less. But it doesn't mean the same for others. Perhaps, they might earn more money if they spend more time gambling, don't you think?

I believe the amount of time someone spends gambling depends on the individual; there's no one-size-fits-all answer. I've witnessed friends from my college days who could sit and gamble all night and remain perfectly alert, whereas I couldn't do the same. This shows that each person will have their own response, and there's no specific number to apply universally.

I believe before gambling, one must have made up their mind to gamble that moment as per  plan and budget. Possibly that gambling time might be the gamble time they have mapped out for themselves so gambling that period might likely be the only time set aside for such exercise or activities and most gamblers would gamble for a very long period while some would not.

Sometimes, gambling for a long period depends on the funds of the gambler available. Some gamblers do gamble till their funds gets exhausted or made much wins before they decide to call it a day but I believe the longer a gambler stays in a casino, the tendencies of losing more money is minuit because they would want to gamble to recover and in the cause of doing that, the lose more.

Another thing is this, someone who is very much engaged with activities and see's gambling as fun will not really waste time in casino although they would gamble based on their already planned schedule for gambling but would not spend much time at the casino but still yet sees gambling as fun

In my opinion, this really depends on what type of game you are betting on. I can spend hours on slots, while I don't spend much time on sports betting. The type of game will determine how much time you spend, so it always varies from one to another. I agree with some of your parts, the more time you spend actively gambling the more you lose. But this is just a habit, not something absolute for all gamblers.

I think for the problem of how many hours someone will spend participating in gambling on the other hand it also depends on the time they have, if indeed they only have 3 hours outside of work and rest time then they can engage in gambling with the time they have  which certainly will not interfere with some of their other activities, especially work. But overall if we look at the risks in gambling then I think the right time to engage in gambling is at least a maximum of 2 hours a day if you want to be involved every day, that's what I always do and sometimes I spend more than an hour, not because I don't have a lot of free time but certainly the OP has also said that the longer you gamble then of course the more money you will lose (if there is no luck at all), and also the other thing that is feared is the potential to get carried away and get stuck in the addiction zone should always be a concern.

With that said, we should at least  have some precautions, one of which I think is important is to put a modest amount, or in other words an amount that you can afford to lose and only take a small amount of time to gamble, regardless of the situation try to stay firm on planning the best approach according to you and really tested.

I bet on sports, so I only spend less than 3 hours a week and sometimes I go more than 3 weeks without betting, but as I like to follow the boxing and MMA games and fights, I constantly go to the casino to find out about sporting events, but I only watch them without playing. Now, I also had experience in the past, although it was a very short experience, about gambling games that depend on luck, that day I played for 5 consecutive hours without stopping, it was my first time playing and I confess that I only stopped playing because the money that I had in my account is gone. But that day I was scared when I saw that 5 hours had already passed.

I started to think that during the game it seemed like time was passing very quickly, I didn't even feel like much time had passed and I was playing plinko. So if there's one thing I could see that day, it's that gambling games that rely on luck are hardly games that people can play for just 1 hour and then stop. I could be wrong, but in my opinion it would take at least 2 hours of playing these games of chance that depend on luck for people to be satisfied. we just need to see that in each round the person puts in 0.20$ and with a balance of 10$ in the account, knowing that it is unlikely that the person would only have a sequence of defeats until losing the entire 10$

So with that 10$ a person could be able to play for 2 hours and there are people who play with a very large bankroll, something like more than 500$. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with a person playing for many hours, see that in the past I spent more than 12 hours straight playing video games, but I didn't get addicted. The most important thing is that the person plays with money that they can afford to lose and has a lot of things to do in the real world that can make them forget about problems and have fun. The world itself is a dangerous place, so people need to do things that make them happy

In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?

First of all, I will like to make reference to this part of your post, let's stop making gambling look like it's a money losing venture only, people still win in gambling regardless of the fact that, it's not really that common, or that most people this days seem more comfortable discussing their loses in gambling than their wins.

So, in gambling, there is the potential to win just say way there is the potential to lose, and the more time one spends gambling, also represents how much chances they have to either win or lose, it's not just about losing alone..

So, I implore us all to always try as much as possible to stop making one sided comments when it comes to the issue of gambling, it paints gambling like something no one should ever engage in, and what even baffles me the more about this, is that, those who make gambling look like something no one should ever indulge in, are all wearing and promoting a casino through their signature ad.

I can't help but LOL at this statement you made because my comments, which you quote, do not in any way condemn gambling, nor is my topic a criticism of gambling. I am only seeking the opinion of other gamblers on what they think regarding the normal time duration for gambling.

On the second statement you made, I don't know the members you are referring to, and I have not read any comments from members who condemn gambling but are still promoting it in their signature spaces.

If it's outside the forum, yeah, I will agree with you that there are a lot of people who condemn gambling and see gamblers as irresponsible people, but that's far from the truth. Gambling is for fun, and whoever takes it for fun will enjoy gambling because it will be fun and they will still make some money from their wins, despite the losses they will also experience.

Quote
Anyways, with the above sorted, I would like to say that, actually, its not right to spend too much time gambling, for when we do so, we usually do not know when we slip away from just having fun to chasing money, or chasing our loses if we lost good amount at the time or period we were playing just to have fun, I am saying this from a person experience actually.

We are still in the same circle here. You are not making a different statement from the one you quote.

Gambling is for fun, and actually, if someone wants to have fun gambling, there is no way they can spend six hours gambling or even spend the rest of their day gambling.
This means they don't gamble for fun but it is an addiction that makes it difficult for them to stop. They are not people who are looking for pleasure, but fall into the category of addiction because they are no longer able to control time or clocks. If gambling is just for fun then they should be able to stop at any time and have nothing to do with time or clock.

In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?
The question is quite easy to answer and it is certain that people who are involved in gambling for a long time will lose a lot of money compared to people who are involved in gambling for only one hour. Let's say they can be lucky for the first hour when they are involved in gambling and make a win, but can they guarantee to get a winning streak in the next hour.
