This is something unique to every gambler yet I know that the guys who hit the max wins on slot machines keep playing for hours and hours in order to hit it.Usually slot players in this context are very patient persons and they keep playing usually long sessions. For sport bettors I can say the opposite as most of these persons study a lot before placing their bets but once they decide with which team to go they just spend a few minutes to place their bets. This is what I mean by this is unique to every gambler.

This thought just crossed my mind after I dropped my comment on this board here some hours ago. I have tried to search for any related topic but have not gotten any results. Guys, if this topic has been discussed before, please do well to tag me while you also drop your opinions here.

If the title is a bit tricky, then I will break it down.

Gambling is for fun, and actually, if someone wants to have fun gambling, there is no way they can spend six hours gambling or even spend the rest of their day gambling.

In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?

So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?

Some people will say that they will gamble for as long as their deposited money is still not exhausted, while others will say that they will gamble until their urge is satisfied. But I think that it will be exhausting to gamble for a very long time, like more than 6 hours, and it will also cause the gambler to lose more.

I don't think I have gambled more than 2 hours without getting tired (not sure) Grin. I have not actually checked my gambling strength to know how long I can last while gambling; now that I have thought of it, I will try it.

I assume it's no longer Christmas Day, so happy World Boxing Day, guys.

Gamblers don't have a specific hours to stay in gambling hall or board, the major thing about gambling is the gambler preferred options, I know that the number of hours you spent during a gambling section does not determine your winning, is just your selection that count but all is luck, some gamblers take their time to check so many things before making a selcetion, they check head to head of the two teams, the highest goal scorer in their previous meetings, most successful team in their last encounter, the individual team current league position and form, all this has to be done by a gambler before he or she decide what to do in his or her slip, so the hour spent is not pu into consideration, what matters at this point is the right choice of market.

I myself don't spend as much as an hour when I gamble. For the most part I only spend as much as 40 minutes when I gamble. I make it a point to not let gambling become a bigger part of my life, so I never oblige myself to gamble on a schedule, nor on a specific time frame. When you start scheduling and making time for when you gamble, you're already setting your priorities straight, and unless you're a recovering gambling addict I don't recommend this as this will only link you with gambling even further, until such a point arrives where you can't get away from gambling because it's already become a part of your life. Gambling occasionally and sparingly should always be the thing you go for. Remember, gambling is nothing more than just a way for you to spend your money when you don't know what to do with it. When you make it an even bigger deal than it was supposed to be, problems will start to arise.

Maybe I don’t have the longest attention span but I couldn’t imagine sitting around gambling for hours. Perhaps that’s why I mostly bet on sporting events. After 5-10 minutes playing slots I’m usually bored and ready to find something new to entertain myself. I’ve always wondered how people can sit for hours in casinos playing slots.

This is a question has different answers for different gamblers. Our gambling styles are different. The number of hours for gambling is whatever the gambler feels overtime is comfortable with. This is the point of satisfaction where they don't feel that they are throwing money away or just gambling to pass time. Each and every one of know that and we know that it changes from time to time. At one time, it may be 30 mins, some other time, it may be 2 hours. Whatever the hours may be, it falls within the range of responsible gambling.
You are right because not all gamblers have ever counted the number of hours and activities they spend on gambling and any problem really depends on the capital they have. For some people who are not addicted, perhaps gambling activities are carried out for a few hours just for fun, but I don't know what happens if gambling activities are carried out by those who are addicted to spending several hours gambling.

In essence, if they actively gamble it will depend on the condition of the capital they have because if they lose and there is no more capital, they will definitely stop on their own. Because without money it is impossible for them to gamble and that is why gambling is not an exact number in my opinion to look at activity hours.

It varies a lot... Someone could only dedicate 30 minutes each week to gambling, because he doesn't have enough free time, even if it's on the weekend... considering that someone has a fairly important position in a company and cannot be replaced, the company really relies on him, so even during his holidays he still gets tasks that must be completed immediately. And there is also someone whose weekend is only filled with gambling, and he is an ordinary employee, who really doesn't have anything else to do apart from work... so on the weekend he can freely gamble. and there is also someone who almost every day is filled with gambling, and he is unemployed, so as long as he has some money, that's how long he gambles and when he gets money, that money will go into gambling.

So in my opinion, a person's busy life can be a determining factor in how long someone gambles... although there are some people who are careless, where they prioritize their gambling more than their obligations. However, the less time we dedicate to gambling, the easier it will be for us to control this activity.

Currently we have no stipulated amount of time meant to spend in gambling, it varies from one individual gambler to the other and as much as you have fun doing it, then good for you, some can gamble until they get tired, while some quit once they hit two or three loses, whereas some set of gamblers will only stop when they burn their entire funds, but in all we do moderation is highly encouraged, we shouldn't spend much of time the moment we aren't having fun or gaining anything out it.
yes, of course, for the problem of time it varies, but it is true that we should not overdo it in using time to do gambling, I think here it is necessary to apply gambling time management, just like we budget money for gambling. because if you break it down further too long playing gambling even though we feel happy it is not a good thing because it will interfere with our minds and personalities that have the potential to be carried away by gambling games which will lead to bad behavior in gambling, such as compulsion or impulsiveness.

Maybe dividing an hour on one gambling session is much better, or a few games expertise one session to do three times the game and in my opinion this is much better than waiting until our balance runs out, because the time used cannot be determined, BTW I once played 12 hours of gambling with only $100 and thought about stopping if my balance ran out.

Depending on how you gamble, you can lose big amount in minutes if you bet big amount but on the other side you can lose small amount only in hours because you bet small amounts.
Luck does affect the result, we cant put this aside obviously.
When you are out of luck, you can lose so fast but when you are lucky, you can win fast as well or you can win after playing several hours.

So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?
Gamblers should know how many hours they should play, every gambler can have their own time limit so you may get different answers for this question.
Just look at poker players who play poker tournament like WPT, they spent hours playing poker but I'm sure they know how to do it wisely.
All in all, appropriate for you does not mean appropriate for others and vice versa.

every gambler has their ideal time. which of course will not interfere with work and rest time.
I use at least 2-3 hours when playing at the casino. and maybe less than 1 hour when I just decided to bet on football. in football betting at the weekend I usually just open and look at several teams that will compete and place a bet. I don't monitor my bets and only come back the next day to check whether my bets won or lost.
Those who gamble in casino games, definitely spend a longer time.
Every individual can have a different situation in casino gambling. I don't gamble every day but on the days that I do I gamble for a long time until I feel like to coming back. Every week I set aside one day for gambling but this schedule is not always the same and sometimes changes for various reasons. Sometimes I go there after a long time and sometimes cosecutively i go their. If there is self control then there is no problem in gambling.

Normally gambling does not depend on time so there is no value of time as long as one is winning or losing a bet. Because gambling does not prioritize time. But the less time a gambler spends gambling, the better he can be. In that case, one should not spend too much time in winning or losing without being overly greedy.

A couple of hours is the most ideal I guess because the body needs to take stretching, movement, and of course rest with your eyes having several minutes on the screen waiting for the result, if you can still manage with your body and not feeling tired you can extend more but again the excess too much is bad in the health.  Based on my experience 1 hour is enough for a game take a rest and chill analyze mistakes and check the budget if still capable of making another round ill go for it or not i will call that for a day.

The length of time a gambler should spend betting varies depending on individual circumstances and preferences. It is important for gamblers to set limits and have a clear understanding of their budget.

Responsible gambling emphasises the importance of taking breaks, setting time limits and not chasing losses. It’s advisable to take regular breaks, assess the situation and ensure that gambling remains an enjoyable and recreational activity rather than a harmful habit.
Gambling or trading too much, overdoing it will lead to uncontrollable gambling or trading.

We have to self-limit total time we seat in front of computer or use our mobile devices for gambling. Win or loss, good or bad streak, we must stop after that time limit or total bet limit.

Taking a break, hanging out, walking or do some intensively rigorous physical activities like running, will help us to avoid gambling addiction and it's also better for our health.

Most gamblers will gamble at least 5 hours a day.
It seems very risky if you play gambling for at least 5 hours and that is the same as spending half a day gambling and for me this has a risk of addiction because the longer it lasts, emotions and dopamine will increase which causes a gambler to lose control.
as I said before, I once played gambling when I got a win, it could last up to 3 hours and at that time my eyesight and brain felt tired and forced me to continue betting which resulted in losing my entire budget because anyone who gambled was already tired and would definitely bet recklessly and It is highly not recommended to persist in gambling for 5 hours.

but it all comes back to each gambler because everyone has a different opinion but for me it wouldn't be good if done in the long term there are too many big risks that have to be borne and it's better to spend at least 1-3 hours gambling that's already far it is better to avoid negative impacts that occur.

I agree with you, gambling for 5 hours is not a short time, it's still better if they use small capital and the balance they have remains or increases, but if they lose quickly maybe it will make them deposit the money back as well. the amount is not small, with a long time like that it can make us forget many things and it might also make us bolder in placing bets with high amounts, and this could cause us to lose control and perhaps all the budget we have could be lost.

yes, that's true, everyone has differences, therefore they do what they think and according to them that's what should be done, regardless of the big risks that will occur, the possibility that if it's like this they will lose quite a bit of budget, in my opinion It's better to gamble for under 1 hour, in my opinion that's more than enough, rather than gambling for hours which will only cause problems later.
5 hours is possible with those games like strategic ones but if we do speak about casino based games then this guy surely have that big bankroll because no one would really be lasting up so long with luck based games
unless if you do have that bigger bankroll but if you are that lucky and able to re-roll then gambling sessions might really take longer but as we do all know that house do always win at the end.
Hours wont really matter or an issue because we do have our own times on which we could really be able to play. As long you arent that compromising your important times or moments with your family or loved ones
and doesnt compromise when it comes to finances then it would really be just that fine.

Hours spend doesnt matter as long it would really be just that vacant time and vacant money or funds that you've been using but we do know that the longer you are spending time with gambling
then you are really that putting yourself into huge possibility that you would really be making yourself that an addicted gambler. So having that control is a must thing to have
or else you would really be ending up miserable in the end of the line.

I believe it is not related to duration. It makes sense for me to make an adjustment entirely related to the budget. If the total amount to be risked is X and my expectation is 5X this season, I will leave when I reach the target.

The longest I've had was 3 hours and that was on a weekend and I did it in online casinos I had enough funds back then to sustain that three hours but I average 1.5 hours either I lose my motivation, I lose my bankroll, or I have some important thing to do, for me I have a moderate time in gambling that I believe will keep me safe from addiction and still enjoy the fun gambling is bringing but I have friends who can play the whole day both online and offline, on physical casinos where the ambiance will make you stay longer, especially if you have funds and the time.

There's no need to be upset
So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?
In my opinion, this really depends on what type of game you are betting on. I can spend hours on slots, while I don't spend much time on sports betting. The type of game will determine how much time you spend, so it always varies from one to another. I agree with some of your parts, the more time you spend actively gambling the more you lose. But this is just a habit, not something absolute for all gamblers.

How do you manage to last so long in the slots? I can't no matter how hard I try because when I play slots things don't work for me, I lose money very quickly and I can't do anything at all, if I play a little with little money I can't do it well either, and that's something that I feel that it limits me, that is why every time we are in a casino what we must do is be very careful so that we do not lose too much, and if we lose, things will not stop and it is possible that possible addictions may occur and that is What is the worst.

I play for a short time, I would like to play a lot, but the only way I can play a lot is to believe that I am false in games, because with my real money, I play for a short time and with that I have to know if I win or lose, that is what I can determine every time I play, if I win then I get what I have, I have made the mistake of leaving it in the casino and when I play I lose it.

Time spent on gambling will vary a lot from person to person
Not even sure this should be a thing to compare

Having long sessions is probably not the best idea since over time you’ll get more tired and your decision making will be impaired

Better to be well rested when gambling and to take short sessions

There's no control over the time we are limited to use while gambling, this is all about our individual choice to remain with gambling as long as we wish to, but i think what determines if we are to gamble or not and when to last in gambling is the rate of the amount of money we have to continue with gambling from the bankroll we have, if we can afford having the money to continue with gambling then we can choose to last as we wish while gambling as long as our bankroll is available and funded.
You're right there, and the free time of every gambler is not the same. What is their free time to play gambling? Maybe it's not a big deal if every gambler should have the right time to gamble because we are not employees who have time to work and time to be out of the job.

So let's just let the gamblers play in the free time they have. Maybe there are times when we can keep up with some, and there are times when we can't because the time is not the same in different parts of the world.
Each gambler must be able to determine how long they gamble and must avoid gambling for too long to avoid losing a lot. There is no problem if we gamble for a while because we want to feel pleasure between our activities. We have to pay attention to how much money we will use to gamble because we don't need to gamble with a lot of money. We have to avoid it so we don't gamble excessively and experience many losses. And each person's free time is indeed different, so we have to understand the differences in how long a gambler spends time gambling. And every gambler will also decide when they can gamble and stop gambling.
