I am almost at the verge of doing that. Leaving my day job for the crypto world as I have been engaged very well into bitcoin and many alt coins in the last few months! And man do i Love this space Smiley
It's impossible to know how many is the exact number of people who left their full-time employment to go into Bitcoin. Maybe it is not a half of the population in bitcoin because there are still who keeps on working while engaging in bitcoin for extra income. This is a nice technique also to have higher income to invest more money so that it will work its capital that you put up if ever you want to. Someday,I will put up or invest if ever I work again.

as of now leaving a fixed paying job for bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency is not really advisable for me..
bitcoins price is still very volatile, you may really earn a lot now.
but what will happen if a day will come that its price will totally drop,...
therefore a fixed paying is more reliable right now instead of cryptocurrency...

Hell no, I didn't quit my job to enter the extremely risky, spiritually unrewarding field of shitcoin/bitcoin trading and/or signature campaign spamming.

LOL

I wouldn't quit my day job.  I actually get to help people by doing what I'm doing, and it's not all about the money.  Bitcoin is a hobby for me at best, and most of the bitcoin I've bought in the last two years I've been in it has been earned through my job.  The signature campaign thing is just a byproduct of being a member of bitcointalk.  There's no way in hell I'd try to be a trader, not when you can lose 95% or more in your position within minutes.  I don't have the stomach or the testicles for that, and sig campaigns don't pay enough to live on anyway--at least not in the US.

I won't leave my day-job. In the future we'll all have UBI (Universal Basic Income). The dollar will be worthless and 1 satoshi will probably get you something to eat (if btc is still on top).

So no, I won't leave my day job, my day job will leave me!

As to how many people have left theirs... I don't know.

It is not a bad idea if you will leave your job. But my priciple if I can still do my day job and bitcoin it is much better. So the earlier you can secure your future as well as your family.

All decisions certainly carry risks such as leaving a regular job and switching to bitcoin, depending on the individual, whether he or she is willing to take risks or stay in the comfort zone.
If I personally have not dared to leave a regular job to switch to bitcoin, while I focus both.

If it's about the number I'm lacking, but overall it's getting more and more people interested in bitcoin and leaving their main job.

Bitcoin is my full time employment. I am focusing on many crypto-related projects including launching my own altcoin (hopefully soon).

There is so much money to be made, it is ridiculous. Now is the time to get in before it is too late. We need to invest as much time and money as possible so that we are not kicking ourselves down the road. Imagine if you do not even own 1 Bitcoin in 20 years and you already knew about it today. It would be really sad, in my opinion.

I was talking to a friend the other day and he told me that two of his friends has left their full-time employment to concentrate on their Bitcoin ventures. < One in Crypto currency trading and the other into imports & exports, linked to ecommerce >

In light of the fact that Bitcoin is still experimental and very volatile, would you say that this was a good or a bad decision and would you do the same?

How many people have done this already?
my opinion for people stop working to focus on bitcoin job depends on the income earned from bitcoin, if earnings from bitcoin far greater than the income received from the actual job, it is better to resign from the real job. and and I will do the same, focus on bitcoin

Probably, I won't. You know why? Because I know and we all know that bitcoin can give us or provide us an income through online usage BUT we must not be just dependent on it since bitcoin earning really takes time depending on the way you have to earn your own bitcoin. It just that you still need a physical and real job to sustain your needs especially on financial. In addition to that, it will be more beneficial if you will just manage working on both since it will give you more money for better rather best earning strategy of having two works at the same time.

Now it is not yet Many people who do that. There will still be some of my friends who have done it. They are willing to leave their jobs in the real world and pa eventually work in bitcoin world. They think that it can make them earn more. In fact they can earn more money and earn a much better life because it can focus on bitcoin.

We cannot determine how many people left their job already because there is no research about this. For me I will not leave my job just to focus in bitcoin. Instead I will take this as an advantage do I can earn more money for my future. Maybe why some people are leaving their job is because they might dont have a time management or they might think that bitcoin is enough to earn money.

i see these days many people are quitting their jobs just to foccus on bitcoin jobs,  but i think that its not a good idea because bitcoin is unstable and volatile therefore its value is always fluctuating and you cant assure that youll get your target income on that day and not all the times you can join or theres an open campaign that you can join to earn bitcoins and not all the times you can trade your coins. so i guess better foccus on a real job and do bitcoins as a sideline to get extra income.

Not many, I'm sure. People are insecure of going all in when it comes to a risky asset such as bitcoin. The future of it isn't entirely guaranteed so I think that there wouldn't be many people leaving stable jobs to dedicate time into it.

I believe that many people like me have quit their full-time jobs to go into Bitcoin. It is an interesting technology which will be probably used more commonly in the next few years. Blockchain is a great invention which I can say, started a new revolution of money and not only. Trading and maintaing mining rigs is a time consuming task.
