What are your bad experiences in bitcoin? Not just scammed by other users it could also include HYIP, Cloud mining scams, investment scams, etc. I know it's a bad thing that happened, I think it's better to share them here so you could vent out on what you are feeling.

Feel free to post anything.

I remember when I invested in zencloud mining, I've been a victim in that sites. So after that happened to me I'll take it a lesson from my experience and got a phobia in cloud mining up to now.

Well I've been scammed before when I was just starting on bitcoin. Due to lack of knowledge on things such as 1-10days investment sites. But now that I know about those kind of things, then I'm very rarely to be scam since experience teach me how to avoid those things.

I never been scammed because I simply do not trade or buy things from people that are not having a good feedback or not even have one these days its just so important to be on the look out.
Glad to hear that from a newbie because most of the newbies either scam or get scammed in mostly exchanges threads or lending threads. I would also give credit to the people for advertising this " no escrow no deal " slogan so much that newbies get inspired and hence avoid being scammed. Just I regret when escrow like master-p scammed.

I have been scammed by many users many times because I had been so gentle to all of them and whenever they asked for some loans as a help, I gave them and they never returned them back. I could have easily given away more than 2 bitcoins in just loans, and even few were my friends.

I have forgotten...i will say...20 times or so.

That's really sad, what have you been doing then? Investing your coins to HYIP or ponzi schemes? Hope you could get back what you've lost.

No it is not sad...it has been my own risk to test ponzi shemes...
Fortunately I have not only lost...
But often it is as well programmes like faucets or PTC.
All works ok...and suddently the site collapses for some reason...generally scam.

I have lost few mBTC with one Nigeria based altcoin exchange (really could not recall its name). Till date I regret for what action must be cex.io cloud mining investments. I bought hash power for more than 0.2 BTC but recovered less than 0.1 BTC, it is not scam yet. But I have not reached ROI with them and my hash power is simply sleeping there.

I have not tried investing in a cloud mining firm or invest in something that says you could profit. From what I've learned here in Bitcointalk, it's always a scam, especially when it has big returns (obviously when it's too good to be true, it is). Are there even Bitcoin investments that you could really earn profit from?

Actually it is unfair to say scam to the sites that is yet proven to be a scam site, but of course as client or investors we should do our own research to be able to spot this somehow fishy offers.  One of our way of detecting scam is when their offer is good to be true and u got it lol, anyway there are some investment that you can earn profit, one of which is thru investing in casino bankroll but there is also of risk on having a negative profit on that.  But I read that Beking.Io is having their ICO, so in my opinion, that would be a good investment since they have been in the industry for years, besides one of the  thread here show, in his venture in Casino investment, that BetKing is capable of giving profit to its investors.

If you are smart you can think it that there is no investing that can gives you real money or profit for a long time unless if you are investing in the banks but the interest is very small every year.. i never trust those investment site because i heard many times for those investment site that we can also seen in this forum investors based games. that you can found almost all are scam..

If to talk about various HYIP's, ponzi's ans similar shit I was scamed up to 10 times. But it was small loss, because I knowed about risks and didn't invested much. Mostly times I didn't got ROI, so I started to avoid such shady investements sites. And I'm happy that I never invested in to cloud mining.
Also, I was scamed by faucets so many times that I even count it. But it was question worth only some cents.
Just a question, how can you be scammed by faucets? Do you mean that you brought referrals to the faucet and then the owner of the faucet refused to pay you?

i had been scammed so many times, when i was still newbie in bitcoin, i was mislead into Ponzi, the first ponzi i joined paid two times and the third times it ran away, and then i tried HYIP i split my coin into 3 HYIP, all of them are scams. I don't earn anything from HYIP, joined fresh cloud mining got scammed before ROI, so now i always encourage newbie or anyone else to avoid all of this things, bitcoin is a world with a lot of scammer you need to be extra careful

I guess I'm thankful for this forum that helps me to avoid those kinds of things that make the bitcoin world go bad. There are a lot of bad people using bitcoin to have transactions and then run away with your money. Nothing can lead you to profit by joining HYIP and Ponzi.

As I remember I got scammed twice, both were PTC sites. I was invested on PTC sites and the sites were shutdown before I got ROI. Though it wasn't a lot of bitcoin I invested there, but it give a lesson not to easy put my bitcoin on those kind of sites.

Just 2 times, the declouds and opair ICO scams. But that was my own fault to be honest I ignored the red flags myself and just kept a little hope.
But I learned my lesson.

In investing , im a newbie that time first i tried to invest small amount and it doubled and I got paid. Because Im newbie i got excited and invest a bigger amount bigger in what I invest on the first trial. Then I got paid also. But in the third when I almost give all my btc and that investment site is having lots of investor BOom. That time they just bring back few of what I invest telling they system got failure something issues. So yhen what I expect to double lessen more. So lesson learned dont give all in one investment site. As much as possible portion it.
Well I don't mean any disrespect for you but actually it seems you were waiting for getting scammed. It is a golden rule in ponzi sites that whenever you get little profits from the site never invest there again.
I have been scammed by a dice site, I don't remember name correctly but some ninja site sort of name ...
