I have gambled less that 1 btc. I use it as entertainment only, because I don't feel that I am lucky enough to beat the house.

Yes like I mentioned before. When bitcoin was cheaper then 1 BTC was nothing. But when it was $1000 = BTC then it was a different story. That's why this poll isn't accurate.
Having wagered 100 BTC is very different from having risked 100 BTC.
Indeed if you like to use martingale or some other similar "strategies", you could easily achieve it with just a few BTC before busting.
Yes, a few BTC is still not a small amount of money in today's price, but I am not surprised to see a few dozens of gamblers here having done so.

for me I have wagered more than 100 btc if we consider all the gambling activities dice , roulette and poker ...etc
since there are different types of gambling and different odds and payouts then you can wager a lot easily

i wouldnt call it addiction, maybe he has the capital and financial security to have the room to be able to gamble like that and does it for fun. i think people take the term "gambling addiction" in this section too lightly; a person is addicted to gambling when it becomes the central focus of their life, and will go to great lengths to continue gambling even if they are in debt.

chasing losses isn't always a good idea mate I would not risk that again if I was in that position as it always makes problems worse for me bu congrats mate for making it

It doesn't mean that 36 people who lost > 100 BTC are liars. Maybe they lost it when BTC was few cents, $1 or $10...
This poll is not really accurate since the price is BTC is constantely changing. It would be better if you related it to the US dollar.
Also some people could be poor and some rich, and 1 BTC means different values to different financial situations.

this is a bitcoin forum though, and BTC gambled is BTC gambled in the end, i dont really see a problem with it.
