Most of you guys seem to be taken this as negative. The intention was to find out the real users of the forum rather than bounty hunters. I'm sorry that it really turned like this. I didn't ask to mention here but to vote in the pool. I'm now locking the thread.

Now I have 3 BTC, I'm waiting for the price to rise above $20,000

Nice one! I should say you deserve a good job pat on your shoulder for the best first post on the forum!  Wink

I own a little amount of BTC, not too little but also not too large to make me a whale. I am just a little fish in the Bitcoin ocean. I would rather keep the number to myself. But I participated in your poll. This would be more interesting if the participants are those who have been here much earlier than us.

I own more than 1 BTC, I don't want to give the exact amount for safety. ( don't want to be target of hacking) lol.
However, I can't deny I'm also a big fan of altcoins as I have a bigger portfolio compared to my bitcoin, but that was the time when altcoins were still healthy, now it has dropped significantly.

There are many users browsing here in the forum daily so telling you're true holdings here can lead to several threats. I'm not saying that it can happen but it is for the safety of the holder.

BTW, I'm not holding any Bitcoin because..... I choose I don't want to Cheesy.

I hold about $500 dollars worth of BTC after Bitcoin fell all the way down in between $3000 and $4000. I use to hold much more than that  but i guess i got scared when the price was sinking way down. This rise has made me known the real trend of the volatile market of cryptocurrencies so now i plan of holding  about $1k worth of BTC and give myself for the next year or two. Hopefully, bitcoin might have reached over $50k by that time.

I have seen amount of Bitcoin and altcoins but i don't any need for me to disclose the exact amount of the coins that am holding in the public here because it is the same as showing the public my bank account statement which nlin my opinion is not a good idea.

for now I only have about 0.1 BTC for the wallet, but sometimes 50% of that I will trade on altcoin to get more profit with lower risk, if there is good momentum

This poll turns out as I thought. Makes me Wink feel a bit better about not being a whale haha. Yet, I honestly think that even .25 BTC will set some of us up for life in 10-20 years. Am I delusional?

Any amount as per your requirements and capita could suffice you because this will grow in coming years and more and more demand and growth will come into crypto . So every month save money and keep on buying whatever possible .
I agree you have to buy little by little like you are saving for the future. I continue working with bitcoin and salary is good enough for it. I am looking forward when the price of bitcoin rise just like before. Keep buying now and see the profit later. It could be exciting.

Money-making forum? no, this is not a money-producing forum, this forum remains a learning forum. The notion of a money-producing forum is only for those who do not understand this forum, this is only a matter of perspective for everyone, how each user of this forum views this forum, whether as a money-producing forum or a learning forum.

I personally know this forum when I first heard the name of bitcoin and I know a lot about bitcoin through a search engine which is finally aimed at every thread of discussion in this forum. And now it's still there, if you don't find the learning thread here, you can say this forum is a money-maker or maybe you still haven't searched all sections of this forum.

Taking into account some tragic events where people lost their coins ( in some cases even their life), and fact that value of BTC is significantly increased, it is not smart to publicly announce that you have specific amount of coins.

In this forum, we have more than 2.5 million registered users. The forum objective was to help people learn about bitcoin, support people, spread bitcoin globally.
But now, it has turned into a money-generating forum for most of the people.
Let's see how much BTC we own? Or we are here only for earning some bucks, don't care BTC at all.
for some people this is an advantage if you have btc from this forum, but for me now I don't have btc because it has been sold and become money. maybe I will try to start collecting btc from a little so that in my wallet there is a little btc

I am not that big holder in terms of bitcoin as I have separated my assets in different currencies while holding them for a long term one. So far I only have between 0.5 btc to 1 btc.

I earned a good money from this forum and I would love to keep on earning even if the market condition is not that good yet. Storing btc for me is not really helpful because of it's huge transaction fees even if you are sending a little amount of money only.

There are thousands of alt coins out there I think you should include other altcoins in your survey well it's interesting to participate on the poll to see how many people owns bitcoin but we also need to consider that there are some people who owns altcoins rather than bitcoins isn't? Well it's just my opinion i just want to know how many people owns altcoins too.  Grin

I hate these kind of threads. Nobody with anything to protect is going to tell you exactly how many BTC they have. Why would you make yourself a hacking or doxing target? This forum is full of scum hackers & very texh gifted people. The OP probably hasn’t got any bad intentions but there are always people lurking in the dark, I suggest nobody responds giving out sensitive info.

I can only say that we see tens or maybe even hundreds of identical threads over the years, but I notice that the approach to this question has changed significantly. A few years ago when the value of BTC was relatively low (under $1000), many users of this forum did not hesitate to say how much BTC they have.

Taking into account some tragic events where people lost their coins ( in some cases even their life), and fact that value of BTC is significantly increased, it is not smart to publicly announce that you have specific amount of coins.

Fact that this forum is have 2.5 million users does not mean that these are all unique users, there is to many alts accounts and accounts that get nuked in first few days. It would be more interesting to see how much users were active, for example, in the last three months.

Well you are asking it in the wrong place 🙂

Ask in Wall Observer : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wall-observer-btcusd-bitcoin-price-movement-tracking-discussion-178336

The whales are there 🤪

And in a side note, it's safer not to expose your BTC holding. Safety and security first. By the way, that's my view, other's can have different views and I am totally okay with that.

this is one of these question you should never ask/answer.
It's like asking how much you have in your bank account or what's your monthly salary.. we are already living in a world where our personal information are easily stolen or even provided by ourselves.
