You can lose way more than you were initially willing to put in. Gambling is not a money problem, It is an emotional problem. Then there are other things that are lost like family, friends and a social life because in order to give the idea that everything is ok, it may be necessary to adopt an anti-social nature. Don't forget you will starve too. You can't spend your money on food. That is your gambling money. Do not gamble for anything.
It is not a emotional problem it's a prostration of gamblers. I am right? because when gamblers loss there money they will run with that so finally it will end with empty hands. Off course gamblers will loose every thing including family friends. finally there life end with tragedy. Even i too loss money in gambling but i am not that much addicted i will just play when i am free i will not make separate time for that.

It totally depends on how much money you are going to put in. You can lose all your money if you continue to play even tho you are losing. This is how people who are addicted to gambling lose their money.

thats depends about the amount you're willing to play for. when you start
gambling make sure that you have a value you don't want to over rule.
easy way to don't lose much

Title of this thread is quite confusing for me, why anybody will play to just for lost their hard earned and it depends how much bankroll that have for gambling, i always going with bet around $1-$2 and don't use martingale there so that i can lose amount like that.
I think in sports betting we can use the martingale system, it will be good if you use in this playoffs, there is a big chance for us to win cause the team that are playing are really good. They can compete with each other, say for example if you use martingale on pacers vs raptors then you will win already.
Nobody will know how much money you can lose with gambling because it also depends on the value and how much you are playing and that can be bad for you.
So the best thing is that you dont have to spend that much money with it in gambling because losing is a high chance.

That would be a good experiment, using martingale in the playoffs is good because NBA is fixed you can at least win one game out of the 7. But make sure when you win already one game you stop playing on that series and bet on the other game series.

Don't think martingale is fully a safe strategy. You might end up losing more in this strategy if it is not up to the mark with your betting. Moreover may gambling sites nowadays are starting a martingale proof house edge so that whenever a player starts that strategy it immediately detects it and starts increasing the house edge resulting in negative profit.

That depends on which game you are playing because that can be also bad for the people because losing with gambling is a really high chance that you can lose some money with it and that is bad.
But you never know what can happen to you and that is the problem of gambling so it can be risky for you.

Actually no one plays for loosing. If somehow we know today we will our bankroll zero surely will avoid to play. How much someone can loose depend on available funds and intention of recovering losses after first round of loss.Chances of winning and loosing are countless as long as we can afford to continue playing.

This is opposite from topic "How much can u win with gambling?". Well I`m on zero again, I`m looking how much I can win with gambling but actually I`m tryin to calculate how much can i lose. It`s always small amout`s but after many times this several small amount`s becoming one big one. There is some crazy stories on internet about people that have it all in one moment...
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/active/mens-health/10976770/Online-gambling-how-I-lost-my-wife-children-and-750000.html
And this guy started  with almost nothing and made almost $500,000 gambling with Bitcoin, then he lost it all in about 60 seconds. https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1ch7wb/

So pretty simple question, how much can YOU lose with gambling?

what the hell is wrong with people.
it is gambling, you should never take risks this big. i don't know what they are thinking going in like this you bet what you can afford to lose and if you win, you get out fast before losing anything.

or even if you don't get out while you are ahead you don't bet all of the money, you bet a part of your earning or profit so that if you got unlucky at least you can keep something out of the bad experience.
I wonder how this guy would blame himself for being greedy, he would have bag already a lot of money. That is really true that while you are in gambling you cannot think straight because of the stress, it's a roller coaster feeling actually, this guy came in so lucky but go out with nothing, the only think that left to him is overall negative emotions.
I do not know how can he afford all of that to lose in just a minute. I really pity him. He already have a new house and a car this time.
That is why regret happens after a failure. That is because of a human nature being greedy, we cannot be contented with an amount of winning although that is big already. But that is life you have to accept you defeat so it will not affect your life negatively.

Well in fairness , gambling sites do warn you not to gamble to much. And you don't have to gamble, and yes I understand it becomes an addiction but so do a lot of things in life. Only use pocket change if you have to gamble and if you need more then you need to stop before things get out of control.   Undecided

I can lose nothing, if I bet I must finish it with profit or at least the same amount that I started hahaha  Grin

I don't bet high anyway, just want to make some bucks profit, test some strategies and learn something in the end.
