I want to talk about salaries. How much $ do you have left after paying taxes, rent, and basic expenses (electricity, water)
I get $10 000/y like a fucking slave
My spending basic is $5 000 / year, including food, $2 500 without food
I live in the former SSSR
Another reason to move away

I really don't think you are that bad off. You have half of your income available for free spending - that's a lot! Total dollar values are not very informative in qualifying what is an adequate income. You have to consider that your cost of living is far lower than in most other countries of the Western world! So in your country for $5000 a year you can buy a lot of things/services that greatly increase your quality of life.

If you move to a country with a higher standard of living you may have a higher nominal income. However you will have to pay higher taxes and the prices of all products and services reflect the overall high income situation. So you standard of living might actually decrease.

I think, if after paying for all expenses, you still have half your income available for free use, you can consider yourself a lucky person. In my case, after paying for all basic necessities I only have less than a quarter of my post-tax salary left.

ya.ya.yo!

I usually make around 2500 euro per month and I pay half of that to taxes and social security.
Might seem like a lot of money that goes towards the government, but I get free healthcare and benefits when I don't have a job anymore.

I live in Belgium btw...

These are some crazy stories, but I believe the rich would not share their stories
In France you would get 30 000€/year just for knowing English
Wow my salary is also about 4000$ per year. Can you tell more details about how to get 30,000€ per year in Frace with knowing English?

Simple, you go there and ask for a job... if you know windows you can come to Czech Republic and work in a corporation for 10 000/year

My salary is about 3700$ per year. I also live in Rilussia, but I live with parents who pay all taxes and food, so I spend all that money on myself only. But since the last year in shitty situation is going on in my firm. No money at all and boss delaying with salary payment. Today is the 1st July and I'm getting salary only for April when it's time to get for June.

Jack of all trades 💯
In my country theres a law that minimum wage earners are exempted to tax thats why we really dont mind the taxes implemented by goverment but theirs VAT when we buy some basic goods And thats ok since its helping my countries economy and my salary left is enough to survive for 1 month and wait another salary date.

Also they give me these communistic so called "benefits" when you get like prepaid cards for predefined services
I get a little less than $9000 a year and I live in a third world country. I get to save about 20% of my monthly income and I have a wife and a kid to feed, clothe and give shelter. I am far from being ok but I don't consider myself poor. I am just getting by, but I am still able to save for our child's future.

You must be joking? $ 10,000 a year?
I get $ 2,300 a year! I worked in the fire protection with a salary of 185 dollars a month. Now I try to get a job in a special communication with the same salary.
Taxes in Russia about 50-60%.

P.S
I looked at your profile, that you are from the Czech Republic. I was born there, but I live in Russia. Ohh ... better to live in the Czech Republic, seriously.
