I check coinmarketcap 20 times a day. I do this not from emotions, but to control prices, because I am also a trader.

Depends on what’s going on in the market. It's your obligation, don't need to check when you hodl in the long term basis. I check individual coins I am involved in daily. I'm trying to stay away in bear markets.

And it depends if I hold a coin that will use for day trade but if not once a day will be enough. The fact that the more we check the more we tend to panic so it would be nice if we just spare ourselves looking to it. Honestly, when the market is really dump I temporary uninstall my blockfolio and just install it when the market gets calm.

Bitcoin is being used by most of the investors for the sake of holding it for longer term and that if you are also doing the same thing, then there is no such need to go for checking the market price of the bitcoin after some time and that too on daily basis. You need to stay calm and that go for checking the market rates once a week and that if the rates are falling, even then do not panic.

avoiding stress are very relevant to take for cause you have to make some patient even you have seen this in a price that you may have to panic with stay calm and be lesson learned for some people that are been failed here for.

I am checking it every time and it got me to be  Shocked

I check it up to 10 times a day but I cannot say it causes any depression. Depending on the market situation and Bitcoin price I am working out the best strategies that let me earning and not losing.
Well it think it is not good to check the price all the time, because it can be rise and fall but If you will go for long term trading then you will not have to keep on checking the price all day long, keep on looking at market can cause depuration for you as sometimes price get down so much so weak hearten people can get heart attack for being scared to that huge lose, but if you are an experienced one you will be able to face the situation, but try not to keep on looking all the time, but in day trading it means a lot to keep your eyes on market.

I check many times throughout the day, slightly addicted to blockfolio as I have a few altcoins and you can't really leave them for a month as they can change overnight, but I do think I check far too often perhaps I have developed an addiction to blockfolio just scrolling up and down.
Lastly I always checked the Bitcoin price because I am overwhelmed with the value and it was amazing but today I seldom checked the market price's because I don't want to get affected with the current value though it may seems that everyone was affected because whatever may happen on the value of bitcoin this would affect the value of the altcoin too.

I just put all the funds in ledger nano s and leave it in home - so there is no reason to check it every minute, coz anyway have no way to sell it immediately

I check prices several times per day. And yes, bearing market turn me into a little (or not little Smiley stress.
How to cope with it? Best way is to relax and draw your attention on something else - hobby, friends, rest, sleep)) but better of all that help to beat stress - is spending time with wife and daughter.

I think the frequency with which we check it, the less we watch, the more we become the winners haha. I really think so haha.

how often do you check BTC price and how to cope with stress associated with this?  I am checking it every few hours and it drives me crazy and makes me anxious. Is there anybody in a similar situation and how do you cope with this?

PS: I was trying to do this once a month, but I think, I missed the beginning of the bear market in January this year because of this.

Thanks,
Mike
I trade on the stock exchange. In order not to control prices constantly, I use the stop-loss. To avoid stress, do not sit near the monitor. If you bought more coins, and their price is now lower, just wait.

I check my portfolio 3-4 times a day, I don't feel stress. I used to play poker for 6 years, it is more stressful.

The question is at what price you bought. If you just bought for hold it, it's enough to check it once a week and check every 2-3 hours it's too often. If you are trading, this is a different situation. The price must be constantly monitored.
You have to understand, if you bought for hold, then multiple checks just make you constantly nervous. If you bought BTC to sell at a certain price, then just put a take profit (or a stop loss for re-insurance) and sleep peacefully!

Do really have this kind of addiction which i cant really resist on to check my Blockfolio since i do have some several altcoin holdings where i do really really check it out when theres a pump and as you said you cant really leave them for a month because anytime they do really have the tendency to pump which you would really need to check out because you would really need to take profits.

Checking the price doesn't make anything to you. But coping with stress is important to take correct decissions when trading bitcoin or other altcoins. This is called self control when you cope with high stress.

It does not make any difference in it's price, all you can do is to set an alarm using any third party app that will indicate you the price fluctuation.

In this crypto currency fields stress takes you to a bad decision but we need a patience level for that if you had that it will give you a good hope for making good decision.

With the help of mobile apps like coin market cap, I frequently check to see the prices almost all the times. It is not so easy seeing the coins fall but when you understand the volatility in cryptocurrencies, I think you will know how to manage the stress.
