Hi, from my point of view, the underlying point of a bounty program is: a healthy token project, especially those on track for success, should have an active community of stakeholders. This is true when we’re talking about bitcoin, benjaCoin, and everything in-between.

The bounty is that you work to pick up the coins. It can be considered free. but a lot of scam bounty. You will lose time on them. and just look at their project. If you are delicate then you will recognize them by reading the roadmap. white paper and actuality of the project

totally agreed and there will always no assurance that they will pay you, it will depends on the devs if they will pay the bounty hunters although it will give a negative impression to them in the community if they will not to.

the thing to consider in choosing a project to follow a bounty project is to read the white paper. whether the project has white paper or not, then the developers of the project, see the background if it can be up to its social media. then the profit bid whether promising or not. maybe that's just my experience when choosing a bounty project

Well actually its not free, because you are rendering your services for you to get a bounty. Airdrop is free, but still be careful on joining a bounty/airdrop because some of them are total waste of time and effort and sometimes ended up as a scam. Make some research about that coin, read the project and participate later on.

Its true that bounty is not free though you can have it in an easiest way but still not free. Its not hard to analyze if the project are scam because some are still shit on making details on their site and even on a white paper but you better to be careful and don't expect something in return easily.

Join a bounty of such ICO that already raised considerable amount of money. Because projects usually dedicate specific percentage for bounty so 3% of $3,000,000 is much more than 5% of $200,000.
Also read what is the project about. You should be at least slightly interested in their business.

I am biased here, but go check out Ice Rock Mining. Spreadsheet is public and there is relatively small number of bounty participants so each person will get more tokens Wink
